It was the first day of school. No one was happy, especially Madison. Madison didn't get the point of school untill your 18, if our ancestors didn't need education, why should we?
Noah dreaded school as well, but hoped to meet lots of new people on his freshman year. 40% of those girls.
Madison was late because her moms car wouldn't start. She got there just as the bell rang, and she sped through the crowd, and advantage of not being too short or too tall, when she bumped into a tall, muscular boy and dropped all of her books. He was wearing a football jersey and shorts. She recognized him as Noah, from the year before. He turned around, and she expected the worst when he said, "Let me help you with that," and stayed behind the crowd to pick up her books. "Th-thank you." Madison said. "I'm so clumsy. I should probably be getting to class now." He handed the books to her. "What's your first class?" Madison seemed to have forgotten everything but what was happening. "Earth Science. You?" He smirked. "Me too!" He began to randomly skip down the hall and left Madison belting out a chuckle. She skipped down the hall beside him and he opened the door to Earth Science. "Why are you late?!" The teacher, Mrs. Wineburger asked. All eyes were on them. "Uh..er " Madison stuttered. "Excuse us Mrs.Wineburger, this young lady dropped her books, and I stayed behind and helped her pick them up. I apologize." Madison felt relieved. "Thanks," she whispered in his ear. He just winked.
The next few days were great. The two freshmans had gotten used to high school together. They both saw they had signed up for swim. The two were both great at swimming and won lots of medals. One day, after practice, he told her to close her eyes, no peeking. She obeyed and hoped for the best. He walked her along some wood and told her to open her eyes. She saw she was along the beach and he had set up a table with lights everywhere that resembled fireflies. She couldn't say anything.
