Chapter 5
Elenore and Mumbo talked quietly in the corner of the classroom, discussing the dream they both had two night's ago. They didn't get a chance to discuss it in person yesterday, the friends were constantly together- which was great, less worry and trouble when they were together. Elenore and Mumbo though, had agreed to show up rather early to their first class today.
"It would have to be, there's no way he would do that." Mumbo said. Elenore nodded in agreement.
"Yes, yes... but... I mean- you saw it, right? It was all normal at first, and then..." Elenore trailed off.
"He's already a prankster, that's what he will do. Besides- he cares too much to do any of it on purpose. If anything it would happen by accident!" Mumbo said.
"Yes, but-"
"Accident? Did something happen?" Grian asked, walking over. There was a slight look of concern on his face.
"Oh- Grian!" Mumbo jumped. "Uh, nothing happened." he chuckled, rubbing his neck. "Not yet at least. We were just discussing something that we realized could end unfortunate if we weren't careful." he said. Elenore nodded.
Grian smiled. "Ah, well be careful then, we really don't want accidents to happen!" he chuckled. Mumbo smiled.
"I'll be heading out to get a drink then, before class starts. I can't study or fly on a dry throat." Mumbo chuckled. He slipped passed Grian, who watched him intently, and to the door. He opened it the rest of the way- it had been half closed. He assumed Grian closed it slightly when he came in, because it wasn't like that before.... Wait- When did Grian ever do that? He never moved the door, the teacher did! So why-
Splat!!
Ah, that was why. Pie. A lovely, cream pie, now all over in his hair and running down his face. Laughing burst from within the classroom, echoing all around. Grian's iconic, maniacal laugh... Like Mumbo said earlier, prankster... Sigh...
So, out the door he went- tripping over a pile of books onto- was that a mattress?! here of all places! At least it was a soft landing... Grian began laughing, Elenore and Mumbo joining him. It was obvious, Grian was too sweet, to fun loving to do anything evil. He was too much of a fun loving, caring guy. Over to Mumbo Grian came, helping his friend to his feet then off to the bathroom to help get him cleaned.

Flying. Flying again is what the class was doing today. And this time Grian brought his wings. And luckily for Elenore, Scar brought another handmade pair, already waiting out in the field. Elenore couldn't stop thanking him.
While Elenore and Grian couldn't stay still in the air, they could rocket themselves through the hoops on the little training course, which they all had fun with. "Woah- how do you guys do this?!" Elenore said, managing to pull up before crashing into a poll.
Grian laughed in reply. "That's what I would like to know!"
"Lot's of practice and training!" Mumbo said, laughing as he watched the two stumbled in the air. Scar chuckled along.
"You guys have got some mad skills then- this is by far harder than it looks!" Grian said.
Mumbo chuckled, gliding through another hoop whilst doing a loop. As he started his way down again, aiming for the hoop again, his wing suddenly twinged, pain shooting through it as it curled up slightly. He turned a little, so now his back was facing toward the ground as he grabbed his shoulder, yelping.
"Mumbo, watch out-" Grian started, rocketing that way to try to save his friend from crashing into anything- only one of his make shift wings tore a little, causing him to stumble in the air now heading to the ground. But before he crashed, Elenore swooped in grabbing his shoulders, letting herself glide down gradually until they're feet were safely on the ground. Beside them Scar came down, letting go of Mumbo gently.
"Is everyone okay?" he asked, looking to his friends.
Grian nodded. "I know I am, thanks for the save, Elenore." he said. Elenore nodded.
"I- I'm alright," Mumbo flinched, folding his good wing in. "It hurts- but I know it's not broken. Really, it felt like a bundle of feathers were suddenly torn out- or maybe my wing is just cramping." he said, rubbing his shoulder.
Mr. Calden flew down beside them, quickly checking out Mumbo's wing. "Is everyone okay? Anybody hurt?" he asked. Grian shook his head.
"I think I just got a wing cramp or something." Mumbo said, watching the teacher.
"Hm, we'll have the nurse look at it, just in case. I presume you can walk just fine?" Mr. Calden asked. Mumbo nodded. "Alright then, you and your friends head there." He said, ushering them on. "Class ends early today! Gather back to the classroom then head to your next one once it's time! Go on, in a line, no pushing Alex!" he said, turning to the other students.
Mumbo stood up, and together the small group of friends returned to the halls, Scar grabbing his wheelchair and putting away his wings. He trailed behind Grian so he could examine his friend's fabric wing.
"Huh... I don't get why it ripped. It's a very tough, but light fabric." Scar said.
"Maybe I just put too much on it?" Grian asked.
"No... Garven said they should have been able to handle anything- and a lot of it too... Elenore's didn't rip." he pointed out.
"Yes, but I've had mine for longer. I probably just worn them out." Grian replied.
"Maybe... We'll get them back to Garven's later today to check them out, patch them up maybe." Scar said. Grian nodded.

"Well... Your wing isn't broken, thankfully. But it wasn't cramped either, there were no signs of it. And the fact that the pain is travelling to your shoulder..." the nurse trailed off, just as Mumbo was rubbing his shoulder. "I think you fractured it, maybe a hairline fracture... Keep your wings out from now on for better healing, and don't use it for the next week. Come back to me next Thursday so I can check up on it." she said. Mumbo nodded and thanked her, heading back into the halls.
"Well this will be... interesting." Mumbo said. "I can't use my wing, for a whole week." he said.
"Oh, you'll be fine. At least you can hang out with me even more now!" Grian laughed. Mumbo smiled slightly. "Besides, luckily for you I have furniture, a bed even, for people with wings. You wouldn't want to crush it in your sleep, would you?" he chuckled.
"How ever long did you have all that?" Mumbo chuckled. "And why? You don't have wings!" he chuckled.
"No, but you do. I figured it would be smart to have those certain things in case anything like this ever happened." Grian said.
Mumbo smiled. "Thanks, bro." he said. Grian nodded happily. And then off to class the friends all went, separating when needed to.
And then college was over, and the friends all together again, walking down the sidewalk. "Do we have any plans for this weekend?" Scar asked.
"I don't think so, why?" Grian asked.
"I overheard earlier the city is having a get together party thing on Saturday, full of fun summer activities and stuff- and don't worry, it's on ground." he chuckled.
Grian smiled. "That sounds like fun, will you guys be there, then?" he asked.
Mumbo nodded. "I will. I volunteered in my redstone class to help out." he said.
"I have to be there anyway, I am Princess, after all," Elenore said, dramatically flipping her hair. The others laughed.
"Oh, it's at 8pm, by the way." Scar commented.
Grian chuckled. "So, we all meet at my place then around-" he cut his sentence off, suddenly gasping in a sharp breath, grabbing Mumbo's good shoulder tightly. He bent over a little, an arm wrapping around his own waist as he stared at the ground with dread in his eyes.
Mumbo turned and grabbed his friend's shoulders. "Grian? Grian?!" he said. The other two watched worriedly as Mumbo tried to gain Grian's attention. He did not respond though. As soon as Mumbo flicked his fingers in front of his face, Grian passed out.

"M...Mumbo... why is the light so bright...?" Grian asked, slowly sitting up as he rubbed his head.
"Grian- your awake!" Mumbo said. "Are you alright? What happened?" he asked.
"I was about to ask you the same thing..." he said, blinking 'til his eyes adjusted to the light. He looked around, seeing all his friends around him, at his place. "When did we get here?" he asked.
Scar bit his lip. "A few hours ago." he said.
"A few hours ago?! What on earth happened-" Oh. That happened. He widened his eyes slightly. "Everyone's good- right? No one's hurt? No- no fire?" he asked quickly. Elenore and Mumbo glanced to each other, biting their lips.
"No, no fire, we're all good Grian, no one's hurt. We're all good." Scar said, trying to reassure his panicking friend. Mumbo had to help out too, it taking a moment to get Grian to calm down.
"So... What happened- before you passed out?" Scar asked after a bit.
Grian bit his lip. "I saw something- I don't know if it was a vision... or what." he said. "The city was all on fire for some reason, and I couldn't find you guys anywhere." he said.
"Well- that hasn't happened, yet at least." Scar said.
"Scar! Don't say that! It's not going to happen at all." Mumbo said.
"Well yea, but-"
"Scar!" Elenore commented.
"Alright, alright. We get it- I'll be fine. There's no way that could happen, it was probably just those... Watchers... Messing around again..." Grian said. "Anyway, it's getting late. Elenore, you staying or going?" He asked.
"I'll be going. Everything is still good so far, so I'll spend the night at home." She said, standing up.
"Alright, just be careful." Grian said. Elenore nodded, said goodbye then left. The boys chatted for a bit, talking quietly while Mumbo got Grian some food. Then once they were all ready, they were off to bed...

"...It's late." Zeqain said, as another watcher passed by him on the bridge. They were both in the main end tower, Zeqain watching the void in front of him.
"Uh... Yes it is- in the overworld..." The other watcher said, pausing.
"They're all asleep... I would say, what you did was smart. But what you did was against my orders..." Zeqain trailed off.
"Well- yes, but I thought-"
"But you thought wrong. I told you specifically what to do, and you didn't do it." He said, turning toward the younger watcher.
"But-"
"No more buts. You failed me again, Arvin, that was the final straw..." He said. He raised his hand, the young male suddenly being pulled into the grasp of Zeqain. Arvin panicked slightly- what was his master doing? What was going on?
"Oh- don't worry boy..." Zeqain smiled slightly. "I'll just be putting you through the same thing, only much much worse..." Suddenly he tore off Arvin's mask- A treason, crime to the watcher kind, taking off, or being found without your mask on in the realm of the end.
Arvin began to panic more, his eyes widening fearfully. "Wh-what are you doing?!"
"Sending you to the dungeons for torment..." He whispered, letting go of him, Arvin suddenly disappearing. No one, no one was allowed to go against his orders... He dropped the mask, turning back to the void. The next watcher who disobeyed his orders... Would earn a fate far worse than Arvin's... No one was allowed to disobey Zeqain.
