Rose P.O.V

I stare at the man in front of me, if I had feelings, I would definitely fell for this guy but fortunately my feelings died at the same day as Lazarus. Now I am just a shell filled with vengeance. This whole world will burn from the fire of my revenge, I will make sure of that.

"King, you are wasting my time, just gave me the Witch and I will leave your kingdom unharmed otherwise my army will destroy this place" I said without any emotion. I will destroy this kingdom like I have destroyed Witch town without an ounce of Guilt. He glared at me "You will not touch her until I am alive" he growled getting his swords out from its sheath. I chuckled "Would you die for her?" I asked curiously, I know about King Chase, he believed in killing rather than dying.

"I would die for her"  he said without blinking. I narrowed my eyes and scoffed, like hell he will die for her, she means nothing to him. He doesn't even call her by her name. "You are a selfish bastard Chase, I know you pretty well" I smirked while he glared at me "You know nothing about me" he gritted out, I gave a short laugh "Well like I said before, lets not waste time, if you want to die so early, its your choice" I said and cranked my neck ready for a fight.

He moved forward, both of his hands holding swords in them. Well this is unfair, I want to fight with swords as well. "You should have backed away" I grin and called them finally. 

"Devron" I yelled raising my hand in air when my twin swords appeared in my hands. I moved them a little getting used to the feel of my favorite weapon. King Lorel looked anxious watching the sword in my hand. Well he should be, these swords are laced with uncured poison whoever get stab with this will never get to see another day. 

Like I said I am on tight schedule.

"Don't let her stab you with the swords" King Lorel advised the King. I grinned, he knows about this sword very well.

Because he is my father! 

A voice yelled in my mind. I growled clutching my head and shaking it "Go back" I gritted my teeth in annoyance when she started to come forward.

No, let me out!!

"Shut up" I yelled, fire running in my veins, my eyes turning a shade of bright blue and the voice disappear. I breathed in relief and raise my head. Every one were looking at me baffled , I just wave my hand "It was nothing, you know with lots of responsibility on my shoulder, I tend to get a headache" I said when they still stare at me. 

"Shall we" I said and a smirk appeared on my face, his face suddenly turned into a scowl and his eye changed to black, fully covering his iris, his teeth elaborate like an animal. Then he looked at me and smirked "We shall" he said, but his voice sounded chilled and came out as a growl.

I rolled my eyes with the change. I know very well about King Chase, he is chosen for Emerald for a reason. He is powerful among others. He is different and he was made only for her.

I took my stance ready to attack him. Lets finish him. I ran towards him and he snarled showing me his sharp teeth. I raised my sword to stab him, he dodged the attack quickly. We went back and forth like that, me attacking, him defending and vice versa. I fed up with this fight, so I quickly made my sword disappear and punched him in the face, His sword flew out of his hand and he growled throwing the other sword away and punching me in the stomach. I made an 'oomph' sound but quickly round house kick him aiming for his head. He grab my leg before it could touch his head and swing me on the ground. I pushed my body up from the ground and kicked him in the jaw. We were swift on our feet. We were like blur to the others because they couldn't keep up with our speed. He punched me square in the face and I stumbled a little huffing. 

He is better than I thought.

I am wasting my time in fighting with him hand to hand combat, I should just use my powers and burn him alive. 

"Its enough" I said and opened my wings flying from the ground. My eyes turning dark blue and I stared at the people below me. King Chase looked at me smugly knowing he got the upper hand in combat. I glared at him but soon changed my expression to bored one "You are good, no one could ever match me in Combat before" I praised him genuinely, he just stare at me with blank expression.

Fire started running in my veins ready to burst out of my body, my gaze went to Alyssa, she was holding Alex arm for support. Such a power but useless.      

I put my hand forward, fire licking my every finger, "It was nice meeting you all" I said in mocking voice and ready to spread the fire in this room, burning these people. I smirked when the look of fear crossed on people face but my smirk dropped when I saw King Chase face, he was casually staring at me with out any care in the world. I looked at him suspiciously and launched the fire from my hand towards them, satisfied when I heard the yelp from them. I looked down and my face fell, when I saw Chase standing forward and holding the energy I threw at them in his hand. He smirked at me and I growled, launching other fire ball at them but he stopped that as well. 

I know he is powerful but he can't be this powerful to stop the angel fire.

Suddenly he flew towards me stopping just in front of me. My eyes widened automatically, he can fly? how did I not know this. "Surprise" his voice sounded like a growling animal. I narrowed my eyes at him, his eyes were full black, his face void of any emotions. Black veins were spreading near his neck. He fully turned into his beast self.

I have heard story about the beast, about King Chase when he was born. At that time, I was still trapped in the Baruna in my weak form, I couldn't do much there, only lurking the bypasser so that they can become food to my people. I heard when Chase was born, his iris were fully black     and he was tough to contain, he always created havoc in his Kingdom. That's why King Victor suggested for him to leave somewhere else until his power could be contained. Slowly -2 he came in control of his powers, controlling the beast inside him and his powers. He came back to the kingdom to take the reign back from his father but by the time he came back, his father was already killed by King Lorel because he attacked their kingdom at night without any feud between them.

As I looked at the man in front of him, I remember that this is his true self, the beast he was supposed to be.

People call me beast, devil and much more when I am just helping them wiping the useless species who only care about themselves like a selfish bastard they are. But the man who is standing in front of me is the real monster, Its just that he is tamed for now.  "Its good to see you" I said calmly not showing any discomfort. He is the very thing that can cause problem in my existence. 

"I don't think you mean that" he smirked, his voice sounding like a growl. I rolled my eyes "Of course I am happy to see you, we can both conquer this world together" I suggested, my wings slightly swaying in approval. "I want my mate back" he snarled ignoring my previous suggestion.

"And you will get her, after I will be done" I said truthfully, after I will take my revenge, I will give Emerald her consciousness back to live in the better world and I can sleep peacefully. He glared at me "I want my mate back" he repeated again like a broken record, I scoffed and cracked my fingers thinking of other plans to kill this beast.

If he won't stand beside me then he won't stand at all.

My eyes went to Witch for a second and a plan forming in my head. I swiftly stand on the ground, Chase followed right behind me protecting his people.

He is too tamed to be called a beast.

"Chase" I called getting his attention, he looked at me "If you don't give me that Witch, you will never see your mate again" I said shrugging my shoulder nonchalantly, his expression remain passive and he didn't even care to reply to my words, instead he stare at me waiting for me to make my next move. I smirked, his emotions are too closed up in this form. I have to bring his emotional side so that I can take advantage of this and get it done with.

I closed my eyes, getting into the back of my mind and giving the control to Emerald. Its time to play a game.

Emerald P.O.V

I opened my eyes groggily staring at my surroundings in astonishment , I looked in front of me, Chase was standing there protectively in front of Alex, Alyssa and father.

Father?

"Father" I said, my voice caught in my throat, its been a long time since I saw him. I missed him so much. Chase growled looking at me, his growl echoing in the whole room. I furrowed my eye brow, he looked different, his alluring golden eyes were black like a black pit, his teeth were in the shape of sharp canines and blank veins running on his neck.

What happened to him?

"Chase" I murmured walking towards him, he took a stance ready to pounce on me. "Its me, its Emerald" I said holding my hands in surrender gesture and slowly walking towards him. He didn't believe me and attacked me, I fell on the ground due to the impact and he fell on top of me, his weight crushing me down, his hand was instantly on my neck choking me. I didn't try to fight back because it will provoke him more. "Chase! stop, you are hurting me" I whispered in pain staring in his black eyes, tears gathered in my eyes when he put more pressure on my neck, one tear fell down from my eye and he stared at me, his hold on me started loosening and suddenly he pulled himself away from me standing away. I coughed a little bit and sat on the floor wiping my eyes. I felt a hand on my shoulder and I raised my head to look upward, my father was standing above me staring at me in relief and pain. He quickly got down on his knees and hugged me tightly, I return the hug crying in his arms. I have missed him so much. 

"Princess, its really you" he said breaking the hug and looked at me in awe, I nodded my head happily. "Yes father, its really is me" I said and looked past him to see Alex and Alyssa standing with each other.

"How did you get out of her hold?" Alex asked holding Alyssa hand in his in tight grip like someone is going to take her away from him.

When did that happen?

"I don't know, I was stuck in the dark only hearing voices sometime and in next I was standing here looking at you" I said truthfully, I don't remember anything except screams and I don't even know who was screaming. I felt my father presence but I wasn't sure if it was truly him. I screamed so many times to get out of the blank place but it was in vain. It was like I was trapped there not a way to get out.

"What happened when I was blacked out" I asked and stand up with the help of my father. I was feeling exhausted like I have been fighting. I looked at every one when no one gave me any response. I looked for Chase wanting to feel the warmth only he can give me. I made eye contact with him, his eyes were changed back to his golden color and he looked like his old self. Without thinking I walked towards him and hugged him. He body turned rigid all of sudden but I ignored that and put my head on his chest hearing his heart beat that calm my own. He is the only one who have this kind of effect on me. Then slowly his arms came around me and he hugged me back. I smiled feeling content in his arms.

I missed him so much.

I broke the hug and repeat my question again this time staring at Chase "What happened while I was gone".

"You are back" Chase said instead looking at me like he is memorizing me. I chuckled "Yes I am back, now tell me what did Rose do this time?" I asked, at the mention of her name, his eyes turned darker and he clenched his fist. I frowned at his behavior.

What did she do this time?

I was confused and afraid to hear the response because everybody looked grim and no one was replying to my question. 

"Chase" I said impatiently and backing away from him, he stood there tense and looked past me. I turned around to stare at my father for response but he was looking at me with pain in his eyes. What the hell happened here? Just then I noticed dry blood on my hands, my eyes widened in shock and I stumbled a little on my feet "Who did I hurt? I whispered looking at my hands, Rose was always carefully when she hurt some one, I never saw any blood after her episodes but now staring at my bloodstained hands, I wasn't sure anymore.

"Who did I hurt?" I yelled when now one responded again, my eyes sting from the tears, there is this hollow feeling in my stomach that something bad happened, I was afraid to hear it but I have to know what she did.

I racked my brain but got nothing, I tried contacting to Rose but there was no response. "Please tell me" I said in broken voice already waiting for the inevitable. Chase came forward and engulfed me in his arms, "Please Chase, tell me, Did I kill some one?" I said, my voice muffled but he heard me clearly because his body froze.          

"It wasn't your fault, it was Rose" Alyssa said, her voice sounded wary, I pulled myself away from Chase and looked at Alyssa for her to elaborate. "No, we will tell her later" Chase voice said sternly and he shook his head towards Alyssa, I glared at him "I need to know" I said scowling at him.

"No, you don't" he replied back, I growled at him and backed away. "You don't own me" I said gritting my teeth, all the feeling that I was feelings for him pushed back with the need to know about what Rose did. He looked hurt for a bit but covered it up quickly and scoffed at me. 

"Just tell me already, I am not a baby" I snapped feeling irritated all of a sudden with the way they were treating me like I am a broken doll.

"YOU KILLED WILLIAM"
