Chapter 9

Hughes and Uromon lay together for perhaps an hour before Uromon spoke.
" One of the demons has gone missing."
Hughes rubbed Uromon's shoulders.
" Who?"
" Her name is Ta'lali. She's a succubus."
Hughes wiggled his eyebrows and Uromon grumbled.
" She started gorging herself on random people's endorphins. Then, six days ago, poof, she vanished."
" Six days ago?" Hughes started to play with Uromon's antlers, his minds spinning.
" Could you give me a description of her?"
" She's pretty plump, good curves and all. Red skin, gold eyes, black hair, silver antlers. She's shorter than me."
Hughes nodded and pulled his lover into a deep kiss.
" Thanks handsome. I have to go now, so Charity won't get suspicious. I'll see you tomorrow?"
Uromon nodded and pouted, leaving sharp bites around Hughes's neck.
" Stay safe lover boy." He teased.
Hughes kissed Uromon, got up, and walked back to the house.
No sooner had he gotten in the door than Charity walked downstairs, and the two shared an awkward moment of science before going about their morning rituals.
Hughes went up to the shower and changed quickly, wincing when he saw the rapidly forming hickies on his neck.
" There's no way in hell I can hide these." He muttered, smiling to himself.
Hughes gave up on concealing the evidence, and went into the kitchen.
Charity raised an eyebrow.
" You look like you went ten rounds with a giant squid."
" Apparently I won half of those rounds." Hughes said, noting that Charity was reading a book about demonic possession.
" Don't forget that I'm meeting this friend of yours today." He said.
" Yeah, yeah..." Charity mumbled.
" I'm looking forward to meeting her!" Hughes said.
Charity grimaced, grabbed her backpack, and walked out of the house.
