" we'll see you guys later" she says as they settle the pilots in the lounge " but you two will be fighting the klaxosaur and the galra without any back up!" Miku exclaimed

" you can't do it alone!" Kokoro protested

" it wouldn't be logical" mitsuru says arms crossed " especially with eins condition" he adds

" I tried to make him back down and stay here with the rest of you, but he wouldn't budge" zero two says " you know how stubborn he can be" she says placing her hands on her hips

" let us come help you!" Futoshi and Naomi say

" we'll be fine, just let us come with you!" Ikuno said, but the pink haired girl shook her head

" I just got you all back, I'm not loosing you guys again" zero two protests, leaving for the door to meet up with Shiro and  ein " don't worry" she turns giving a gentle smile " we'll be back before you know it" then leaves

Time skip

In the Castle of Lions, the four claimed Lions activate the door securing the Black Lion as Shiro stands before it along with zero two and ein

in the bridge the lines connect on the console to unlock the doors, Allura grew nervous

The doors opened to reveal the black lion, Along with the six franxx

all the lions roar

" ein are you sure?" Zero two asked in worry, he chuckled " I'll be fine" he assured " the sooner we take down those ships the better"

" don't worry, once we take down those ships, you can get some proper rest" Shiro says gaining their attention, who both nod

Coran cheers and Allura looked relieved, as did the other two

The Castleship's alarms blare to alert them Sendaks warship along with the klaxosaur ship are approaching

''Oh, quiznak!''  Coran scream in panic while the two were shock

''Sendak and the klaxosaurs are entering the Arusian atmosphere. We need Voltron and strelizia now!'' Allura shouted through the coms

Shiro enters the lion while zero two and ein enter strelizia, he and the lions fly out the top, with the other two not far behind

"The ion cannon is back on line!" Haxus informs " fire!" Sendak ordered

The galra warships fires its cannon and blasts the Castleship; everyone grunts from shaken from the blast, but survives

"Man, those Galra guys repair things fast." Hunk says while looking at a close image of the cannon

Hachi sees the warning signals on the computer  "The barrier gets weaker with every blast. Once that shield goes down, the Castle will be defenseless." He informed

"I can give you cover with the Castle defenses for a while, but you have to form Voltron now or we'll all be destroyed!" Allura says as galra bets and klaxosaur's fly around outside

"Jeez, no pressure." Hunk said

A second blast from the ion cannon hits, weakening the barrier "Listen up, Team Voltron! Team franxx! The only way to succeed is to give it all you've got! This looks bad, but we can do this! Are you with me?"

Lance, Keith, pidge, hunk, even the two in sterlizia all nod silently  "I'm nodding. Is everyone else nodding?" Hunk asked

"Yes." The others groan

"Let's do this!" Shiro yelled as the team take off, exit the barrier under heavy fire from Galra fighter jet

"Uh, how?" Lance asked

"Good question. Does anyone have any ideas of how to form Voltron?" Shiro questioned

"I don't see a "Combine Into Giant Robot" button anywhere on my dashboard." Hunk said " hey two! How do we transform?" He asked while in battle

" how should I know, I've never known to crate voltron!" She yelled while stabbing a
Klaxosaur jet with her Lance

The Galra and klaxosaur fighter jets bombard them with attacks. "This is insane! Can't they just cease fire for one minute so we can figure this out? Is that too much to ask?" Pidge complained and attacks the fighter jets, destroying two.

Keith fired the Red Lion's tail cannon to destroy two more "We've got to do something!" He says

"Combine!" Just then hunk slams the Yellow Lion into the Red Lion, knocking it over.

"Hey!" Keith complained

"Okay, that didn't work." The lions head hung low before the two take off running

In shiro's lion alluras face appeared on screen "Quickly, Paladins! Our energy levels are getting low!" She then grunted form the impact the castle received and the screen shut off

"Maybe if we fly in formation, we'll just combine" he suggested "Take off on my cue. One, two, three, Voltron!"The Lions take flight.

"Here we go!" Keith yelled "Come on, come on!" Followed by Lance "Nothing's happening." Shiro says

"Hey, w-wait, wait, wait! I feel something!" Lance says after feeling something change, followed by hunk "I do, too. I feel it. It's like we're all being pulled in the same direction!"

"Uh, guys, I think I know why. Look up." Shiro says, The Lions are caught in the Galra warship's tractor beam and are unable to escape

"What the cheese?"lance says "Sendak's ship is sucking us in like a black hole!" Pidge yelled

"Send a report to Emperor Zarkon: 'The day is ours.'" He smirked

The warship blasts the Castle of Lions particle barrier, destroying it, making the franxx pilots gasp

" no!" Strelizia yelled rushing to their aid, only to be tackled by klaxosaurs, and being painfully stepped on, which effected her on the inside, making her cry out in pain

" zero two!" Ein yelled

"Oh, no!" Shiro gasped looking back, hunks face appeared on screen "I-I don't care what you say, Shiro. I'm panicking now!" hunk starts screaming

"It can't end here!" Pidge yelled "This is it!"followed by Lance "It's been an honor flying with you boys." Keith grunted while hunk panicked "Oh, no!"

Shiro gripped his controls"No! We can do this. We have to believe in ourselves." This started gain everyone's attention, not just the paladins, the franxx pilots who could hear on the comms

"We can't give up. We are the universe's only hope!" They look at each other before boding and heading to the hanger "Everyone is relying on us. We can't fail! We won't fail! If we work together, we'll win together!"

"Yeah!" They all shout

Right as the ion cannon was about to hit the castle, something angled it upwards, making it miss the castle by an inch, and a few figures attack the klaxosaurs attacking
Strelizia

Allura, along with coran, hachi and nana gasp in shock, especially at what they saw once the castle systems locked into the figures on the ground and one in the sky

The Paladins were united and the Lions break free to form Voltron, saving the Castle of Lions from destruction by diverting the blast with a single punch to the cannon

And the franxx all stood around the destroyed klaxosaurs, Strelizia stared on shock

Sendak steps back in shock "Voltron! And the franxx!"

" you guys...." strelizia says in shock

" don't worry, we've got you" Delphinium lends out a hand for her to grab and pulls her up " and the paladins too!"

" and like we'd let you have all the fun!" Zorome says as his face appeared inside on the screen " yeah, we're in this together, whether you like it or not!" Argentea

"They did it..." genista says while they gaze up at voltron

"I can't believe it!" Keith exclaimed "We formed Voltron!" Lodge cheered "I'm a leg!" As did hunk "How are we doing this?" Lance wondered "I don't know" shiro chuckled "but let's get that cannon!"

" you guys handle the galra!" Strelizia says on screen " we'll handle the klaxosaur's!"

the franxx charge into battle, attacking the klaxosaur jets, Argentea slicing up a few with her claws " get out of here you annoying Bugs!" She yelledc then roundhouse kicks one away from her " haha! They seem to be the same!" Zorome laughs

genista shooting at the ship, and causing a large dent " go get them strelizia!" She shouts " look out Kokoro!" Futoshi turned so they can also block the attack coming from the side

Chlorophytum shoots and takes down a bunch And gardenia backs up strelizia and Delphinium as they run towards the klaxosaur's ship

" you take them down" delphinium said " we'll cover you!" Goro adds

" we can't let any of them leave!" Hiro says " not even one!"

Gardenia yells while stabbing a klaxosaur coming at them with her sword

" let's do this big bro!" Strelizia says to ein inside " right!" He nods, The two charge towards it, Lance in hand, as the other two franxx defend them against enemy's coming at them from The side

" time to end this!" Strelizia charged at shop, stabbing it with her Lance, something starts fillling the tubes while she glared at it " game over..."

She then clicks the button on the Lance and the ship explodes, as that happens, all the other klaxosaur's start dying

" yeah!" Zorome cheered " woohoo!" Followed by Argentea and gardenia " take that!" She smirked

While Chlorophytum retracts her guns

Genista and Delphinium sighs in relief as futoshi and hiro joins in on the cheering, goro chuckling and mitsuru crossing his arms while gazing at the battle field

Strelizia gazed towards voltrons fight

Meanwhile

The Red and Green Lions then grabbed onto the ion cannon and ripped it right off of Sendak's ship.

The Red Lion then blasted a hole in the ship which exploded the front half of the ship.

While Voltron was destroying the warship, Sendak and haxus flee.

Then the Blue Lion kicked a hole in the ship to allow Voltron to stand in it and the Green Lion then blasted through the ship.

Damaging it all the way through. They all yelled together as Voltron flew up and through Sendak's ship.

The ship then fully exploded as Voltron stood on the ground. That's when the battle was over

And voltron joined the franxx on the ground as the ship exploded

The group landed their lions and franxx and saw allura's, nana, hachi coran running towards to the exhausted paladins and franxx pilots

''Good work, everyone!'' Allura smiled

''Thanks, pretty lady.'' Lance flirted as he takes of his helmet

" we did it" shiro says

''Heck yeah, we did.'' Keith said taking of his helmet smiling

'' How did we do it?'' Shiro asked

'' I was just, like, screaming the whole time." Hunk said ripping of his helmet "Maybe that did it.''

" haha! It felt great to be back in the franxx again!" Zorome high-fived futoshi and hiro " you said it!" Futosho grinned

" you guys were bad either" goro said to hunk  and Lance

" not so bad yourself" Lance said, the three shake hands, the paladins and the franxx pilots start interacting with each other

Pidge looks dejected from not finding either of his missing family member, shiro places a hand on his shoulder, catching his attention "We're not going to stop searching until we find your brother and father. Wherever they are, I know they'd be proud of you." He says

Which makes pidge smile ''We won the battle, but the war has only just begun. I'm afraid Zarkon and klaxosaur's will not stop until he gets these lions franxx and zero two'' allura said

''Good thing you paladins and pilots know what you're doing, because you're going to have to form Voltron and the franxx again and again.'' Coran added

''Totally. Wait, what?'' Hunk said Realising what coran said ''We barely survived forming Voltron this one time.'' Lance stated slouching

" and half this group were prisoners of sendak" futoshi adds

" me and goro suffered half of it!" Ein exclaimed referring to their beating they had been given

" we just broke out come on" miku groaned unhappy

"I Second that" Zorome adds, mitsuru sighs shaking his head, while ikuno stays silent along with ichigo, kokoro laughs nervously while zero two didn't seem to care

'' And you only had to fight two ships. Wait until you have to fight a whole fleet of them! And klaxosapiens, It's not going to be easy being the Defenders of the Universe.'' Coran said, stretching

everyone stood there, not knowing what else to say, still shiro broke the silence

The Paladins appear surprised at the title, enclosing the franxx pilots, until shiro spoke

''Defenders of the Universe, huh? That's got a nice ring to it.'' he said, everyone looking at the lions and franxx smiling
