I think I lied. I might be doing more of these then I thought. I decided to be generous and give you this chapter only two days after that last update. I didn't want anyone falling off that cliff the point was for you to be hanging. If you know what I mean. I'm also really excited to give you guys the upcoming chapters I just edited, so if I update now I will have to update earlier in the week. I think I will mostly be updating on Fridays btw. Anyway, READ ON!

Well, the good thing is, I would probably only have to do this once right?

I could feel many curious eyes watching me carefully, wondering what I was going to do, but I did my best to focus on Ray's familiar sympathetic green ones.

I asked for the clipboard Coach was holding; I took a quick glance- and by that I mean super-speed quick- at all the names on the list and handed the clipboard back to him. And then, I recited. All the names. By memory.

That's it folks. I can read really fast then memorize what I read. Sorry if you were expecting more. Maybe you thought I'd fly. Maybe you thought I'd turn into a deadly snake. Nope, I was gifted with the power to read quickly.
What use is that? Now maybe you get why I was horrified by thought of using my power.

The rest of the day was a little bit of a blur. At some point the Talent Show ended and we all retired to our classes.
I do remember lunch. People snickering, pointing, and joking with there friends saying things like, "Oh look! It's Super Reader!" or chanting with annoying their annoying high-pitched stupid voices, "Nerd Girl, Nerd Girl!" I felt like one of those wimps the hero is saving in movies.

I sighed and sat down at a circular gray table in the corner, across from Mason.

Mason was obviously trying to get me to forget the current situation.
"I think we're gonna really like the classes here Lyn! My teachers are so nice and the students seems to be really kind too!"

I gave him a harsh look and he finally realized the fact that he should just shut up.
