I saw this dream

in which 

I turned out to be a firefly

but it was dark

so so dark

I blinked my eyes

so so many

times

but it made no difference

in the dark

My father

my mother

my sister

my grandparents

my uncles

and my cousins;

they all glowed

so bright

but I had no light

I wonder

if they stole

my sheen

and made me look

weak

because they 

wanted to protect

me

from my

"meek"

in their

own way.
