A/N: Het onderstaande gedicht is eigenlijk bedoeld als een liedjestekst die deel zou moeten uitmaken van een 'boek' dat ik ben aan het schrijven. Ik zal mogelijk nog daadwerkelijk een melodielijn schrijven voor de tekst, maar de begeleiding zou voor gitaar moeten zijn (mijn personage speelt gitaar) en dat speel ik zelf niet, dus ik weet niet of dat ervan zal komen. Als iemand suggesties heeft hoe de melodie/begeleiding/voorspel/tussenspel zou moeten klinken, altijd welkom. Hetzelfde geldt uiteraard voor jullie gedachten over de inhoud, rijmschema, herhalingen, ...

I dreamt that I could fly.

I wandered through the sky

wondering why.

Why I could fly

Why I would cry

because I could fly

embracing the sky.

And life never answers

but the heart sometimes does

and my heart told a tale

a fairy tale of love:

once upon a time

I was over the moon.

    ---

Once upon a time

I dreamt I crossed the sphere

the starlight crystal clear

you flying near

crossing the sphere

moonlight your peer

adorning the sphere.

I hold you so dear.

    ---

And life never answers

but the heart sometimes does

and my heart told a tale

a fairy tale of love:

once upon a time

I was over the moon.
    ---

Once upon a time

I promised you the moon.

You gave your answer soon

singing this tune

back to the moon:

"Croon until noon

once in a blue moon.

I'll answer you soon."
