1. Who is your favorite female character(s) in a published book?
Flavia and Ness from The Lantern Bearers, by Rosemary Sutcliff. So much vivacity and fierceness in them both.
Elizabeth Bennet from Pride and Prejudice, by Jane Austen. How can one NOT?
Mara from Mara, Daughter of the Nile by Eloise Jarvis McGraw. Mara is the most immediate, most believable, most winning female character I've ever read. And, like, I ship the romance in that story so hard. The only other ships I fangirl like that over are on Wattpad.
Nerdanel, Galadriel, and Haleth from The Silmarillion. Got to have those strong independent lasses. XD
Éowyn from The Lord of the Rings. And no, not because she's a girl who goes and fights, but because she realizes in the end that war and fighting aren't the most important things out there. That's her actual character arc, and one that I feel a lot of people miss in their excitement over finding a girl with armor and a sword.
Irene (Attolia) from The Thief and following books by Megan Whalen Turner. I read these late last year and freaking loved them. Such clever plots and even more memorable characters.
2. Who is your favorite male character(s) in a published book?
Young Fu from Young Fu of the Upper Yangtze, by Elizabeth Foreman Lewis. This boy is the most lovable, relatable apprentice coppersmith ever.
Johnny Tremain in the book of the same name. Speaking of -smith apprentices. I adore this entire book and Johnny in particular so, so much.
Jean Valjean in Lés Misérables. Iconic with good reason.
Hylas in The Ides of April, by Mary Ray. A smol brave bean.
Murtagh in the Inheritance Cycle. Because as much as I dislike Eragon & the subsequent books, Murtagh was the most believable, relatable, and likeable character, and didn't deserve the half of what he got.
Phaedrus in Mark of the Horse Lord, by Rosemary Sutcliff. An example of stunning character development. Dynamic, fully human, flawed, and shining.
Fëanor and Beren from The Silmarillion. You love Fëanor some, you hate him some. What a guy. As for Beren, I mean, the man is EPIC. Never mind the whole one-hand deal -- what about becoming the Big Mean Bogey-man to all the orcs in the region after his father died? Also Maedhros. Maedhros gets ALL THE LOVE.
Eugenides in The Thief and following books by Megan Whalen Turner.
I think it's evident I could keep going on for awhile, but in the interest of, well, interest, I should cut it short.
3. Who is your favorite female character(s) on Wattpad?

(I am tagging an obscene amount of people but these are GENUINELY MY FAVORITES PEOPLE OKAY I HAVE 100+ BOOKS ON MY READING LISTS SO THIS REALLY IS ONLY A FRACTION OF THE CHARACTERS I'VE MET) (and the only reason I don't have this many on my published books question is because I don't have a handy list of all the physical books I've read in my life) (moving on now)
5. Have you ever bonded with a character in a movie?
I have lots of favorite movie characters. Elizabeth Bennett in the BBC Pride and Prejudice is SUPERB and so relatable to me.
6. What is a character in a book, published or otherwise, that you will NEVER like?
*points at Night* SORTILEGO.
Ahem. Also, Alice Tuckfield in A Murder For Her Majesty, whom I believe I've ranted about before, and it wasn't pretty. If she had been the sidekick son of the villain, it would have been great (I still wouldn't have liked her). But as a protagonist, she SUCKED.
7. What fictional character would you love to accompany in their journey?
See, this question has always been hard for me. I'd rather the books stayed, well, books. I don't exactly want to endure everything that authors, myself included, invent for the poor sufferants. Buuuut in my early LOTR fangirl stage I did yearn to join the Fellowship, so we'll say Frodo.
8. What specific character or what type of character is a struggle for you to write?
I used to struggle a lot with female characters, and to some extent I think I still do. Not with the ones I know well, but when inventing a character on-the-spot to fill in a minor role, it's far easier for me to paint an interesting man than an interesting woman. *shakes my own gender* WHY YOU BE SO DIFFICULT
Specifically, it would be two of my main characters in Sorrow and Song, Ailean and Caithrana Mycrai. This is because they were originally self inserts, and none-too-subtle ones, and it's been very hard to break out of that and give them identities apart from me without turning them into one of the other thousands of people I've created.
9. Name a book you've read that had outstanding character development or growth.
I mentioned him earlier, but Johnny Tremain needs another prize. Janner from The Wingfeather Saga deserves a mention here too. And so does... and so does... help meh
10. Has there ever been a character with a physical description that resembled you?
As soon as I saw this question I knew there was someone. Something. Somewhere.
I couldn't remember it.
I still can't remember it.
Then, brown hair, blue eyes, and glasses isn't all that uncommon...
I did think I looked like Buttercup when I was younger.
