When I first met you,
You were able to make me laugh.
We were there for each other,
An inseparable duo- no matter the distance between us.

You lit my way, never leaving my side,
Even though you were miles away.
You're smile bright when you could make me blush from the simplest of words.
Always there for each other.

Then one by one, our world cake shattering down around us.
Moving from one app to the next, hoping and praying we wouldn't lose one another.

Days after I couldn't recover,
Days turned to weeks and weeks to months.
Every once in a while I'd be able to talk to you but now that seems like an impossible feat.

I've tried moving on- I really did- but my heart only aches for you, leaving behind a shell of a girl.

Nothing has gotten better, in fact it mostly likely has gotten worse.
I hope and pray that nothing bad has happened to you.
And I hope we can be together soon, but for now I'm stuck waiting and watching from afar as our worlds separate, not knowing if it's for good or temporary.
