Me: Oh hey, I'm sorry about being so standoffish and defensive last night when you were trying to help me and compliment me and stuff...

Them: Oh, it's all good!

My mind: No it's not, it's not good at all, you don't deserve this person and their kind treatment. You deserve to be berated for how you acted and then continue to act like that so you get berated more and more harshly each time-

Me: *tries shaking off my loud thoughts* Okay, awesome
