Team 7 walked in silence towards their current destination which was the bridge builder's home.

You glared at the drunkard from time to time but Naruto and his silly antics kept you from killing the bastard.

You were walking in between Sasuke and Naruto feeling oddly in place with them, Sakura walked beside her Sasuke with a look of pure jealousy.

Sasuke decided to try and make conversation which was a big thing considering he was mister silent and mysterious "don't let what the drunkard said get to you".

You turned your head towards the uchiha in shock and surprise before stating "it's a....reaction, I don't like when people talk about me or my family as if we were weak".

Sasuke smiled softly "well, your the strongest girl I've ever met. If that helps".

You looked at him in shock blushing slightly "Sasuke...yeah it does" you said smiling towards the now red faced uchiha.

You both then walked on beside each other not noticing the spiteful look Naruto was throwing sasuke's way.

Kakashi looked on in amusement from the corner of his eye 'if either of them hurt her I'll kill them myself' He plotted.

You walked on in a better mood then earlier and caught sight of a....puddle of water?

You looked at the sky. It was just as clear as the last few week's 'it hasn't rained in a while....it's a trap!'

"Sensei!"

Chains suddenly burst from the puddle wrapping around your sensei startling everyone. You immediately took out a Kunai and your eye's widened in horror as Kakashi was ripped apart by the chains.

"Sensei!"

Sasuke immediately sprang into action, he countered a blow towards the supposed chunin and yelled "protect the bridge builder!"

Sakura took out a Kunai and stood in front of the scared old man, Naruto stood in shock looking at the fleshy torn body parts of your former sensei.

Sasuke grabbed a chain yanking it pulling the claw fingered opponent closer, you decided to help out.

You flipped and landed on one of the assassin's shoulders, he was to surprised to react in time before your legs wrapped around his neck and you flipped forcing his armored body to crash painfully into the floor.

Sasuke had paused in his fight and watched you move gracefully in awe, you had turned with a wire wrapped around your enemies neck towards sasuke. You blushed and looked away quickly before feeling your opponent rise from under you.

You fell backwards and since you didn't expect the sudden jolt, you braced for impact. You didn't meet the dirt and soil beneath you but a broad chest and muscular arm's wrapped under your knees and back.

You opened your eyes to be face to face with a smirking uchiha, you were blushing a lot today much to your own surprise.

You couldn't break eye contact with him no matter how hard you tried something about his obsidian orbs left you mesmerized, neither could he but you didn't know that.

You both were startled out of your little staring contest by Sakura ' scream. Sasuke gently put you down and ran towards Sakura who was currently trying to protect the bridge builder with a Kunai in hand.

The ninja charged at the bridge builder obviously ready to tear through Sakura just to get to him. Sasuke was able to get in front of Sakura in time to block the ninjas attack.

However, the second enemy was on his way towards a frozen in shock Naruto. You immediately started running towards him, a Kunai made its way into your hand with a wire attached to it.

You jumped up and threw your blade with a flick of your wrist and it cut through the air swiftly. The wire wrapped around the ninjas wrist with his clawed hand that had unknowingly hit Naruto but was pulled back before it did any Real damage.

You saw the ninja suddenly look at you in pure anger, your eye's went wide as he started charging for you with an intent to kill. You pulled your wire back and your Kunai was back in your hand, however he came sooner than you thought.

'Damn it!' You thought as he ninja appeared in front of you his claws hanging above his head glinting wickedly in the rising sun's glare. You felt a small graze before the ninja was pulled backwards by a familiar hand.

"Yo!"

"Sensei!"

'Hn show off'.

Kakashi was now in front of the team of genin with the two rogue ninjas in his grasp, you looked over at the pile of flesh and blood that was now blocks of torn wood.

You sighed in relief and took in a few deep breaths you didn't realize you needed till now.

Time skip

The two rogue ninja were unconscious and tied to a tree, Kakashi had just finished his interigation with the two before turning to his team.

Kakashi smiled well at least it looked like it his eye's had curved into a 'U' shape indicating he was smiling "Nice work everyone, especially for your first mission".

You smiled as well as Sakura who was looking surprisingly smug for someone who hardly did anything.

Naruto however did not look so happy only disappointed 'why am I the weak one?! I should have been fighting beside (y/n) and protecting everyone not sasuke!'.

You noticed this and walked over to the distressed orange clad boy "Naruto? Everything alright?" You asked catching his attention.

He looked up at you and you smiled softly causing him to blush but his upset look only faded slightly "No! I will not be shown up by sasuke, not this time!".

His determined look came back and he faced you with a proud look on his face "I'll be better than sasuke! I'm fighting beside you next time and I'll protect you (y/n)!"

You stood stunned before smiling and stating "I'm counting on that Naruto because the future hokage is supposed to be the best ninja there is. Prove it on the battle field your going to be the future hokage, promise me that."

Naruto looked as if he was going to cry hearing this before he smiled giving a thumbs up "I promise!"

You smiled and then Kakashi then grabbed your arm pulling it upwards "hey! Kakashi-sensei what...".

Kakashi had spotted your light blue sweater staining from a dark substance and had also seen a tear that you didn't seem to notice on your abdomen.

Sasuke held in a gasp as he noticed the darkening in your shirt that was spreading alarmingly fast, tazuna stood in the back of the team watching in alarm.

Naruto gasped aloud "(Y-Y/N) your hurt!", you looked confused and then felt a sharp pain in your abdomen. You looked down with Kakashi still having a hold on your arm at the blood staining your clothing.

"Oh...wow. since when?" Was all you could manage.
