"Gato" you heard Zabuza whisper angrily to himself next to Kakashi.

You looked up at Kakashi as your hand flew to your Kunai pouch "Who's gato?" You asked him.

Kakashi didn't look at you but, he had a Kunai out and his hand out to protect his students from the approaching rebel men "A tyrant, he pays mercenaries like Zabuza to do his dirty work. But, I guess Gato had other plans" he said while Zabuza growled angrily before stepping forwards towards the short man.

"What is this gato?!" He shouted over the group of smirking men who threateningly sharpened their swords with the blade of another.

Gato only laughed, the sound echoing across the foggy bridge "You were a fool to think I'd actually keep my word Zabuza!" He chuckled darkly "After your little threat the other day I deemed you as untrustworthy and you have been sentenced to death!" He shouted.

That's when the men from the group of mercenaries began their sprint towards you all. Everyone stiffened before Sakura stated "Sensei how can we beat all of them after such a battle. We're all to weak".

None of you bothered to protest noticing she was indeed right, you all were very weak and Chakra nearly drained. Kakashi hardly seemed to be able to hold his own weight, but instead of any of you complaining you took out a weapon or took a stance.

You prepared yourselves as the rebels neared with smirks and crazed looks before you suddenly heard a piercing whizz through the air and without looking at anyone you said "Back up".

Nearly everyone looked at you as if you lost it before your eyes widened and you took Hiraikotsu from your back and held it horizontal in front of you all before you shoved everyone back. Everyone fell back to weak to resist and that's when at least a dozen arrows came to pierce a few heads of the rebels with pained grunts and blood splattering.

You shoved hiraikotsu off of you before with a sigh you took Sasuke's hand as he helped you up. You looked to the side and with a sigh of relief you heard Naruto exclaim "Inari! Yatta!"

You smiled proudly as you saw your new little brother standing confidently with a bow in hand a group of villagers with any thing they could find to use as a weapon.

Inari caught sight of you and Naruto and nearly gasped at the sight of you before he smiled at you in relief.

"Well well well the kid actually came through" Kakashi said behind you and you looked up at him with a smile.

The rebels were driven back by the now determined and non defenseless villagers. Gato however was left with Zabuza later on and with a smirk Zabuza went to handle some unfinished business as he dragged Gato off kicking and screaming.

Inari and the other villagers came over with worried looks and cheers as they rushed over to provide medical assistance. Inari came to your side as you were sitting on a chair a woman bandaging your arms.

"Your hurt bad onee-chan" he said sadly putting a hand on your bandaged hand gently. You smiled at him reassuringly before shaking your head and you took his hand in your own "Don't worry little brother I'll be fine" you then took his shoulder before s mushing him in a hug "And I'm so proud of you! If it weren't for you we'd be roadkill" you said to him with a smile.

Inari sniffled before he gave a smile and you rubbed the tears from his eye's with your thumb before caressing the side of his face affectionately "hey cheer up ok?" You whispered to him softly and he nodded.

You brought him to you his head laying on your shoulder as the woman finished and you mouthed "thank you" her way and she bowed before smiling softly leaving as you embraced Inari.

"I just..." Inari started as he cried into your shoulder "I...I thought they'd kill you....like--like..." he cut himself off with sobs as he paused gritting his teeth.

"I was afraid that they'd take you away from me! I was afraid I hadn't been fast enough!" Inari cried as he held onto your shirt for dear life. His tears soaking the fabric as your eye's widened at his words.

"It's okay Inari. It's okay" you whispered as you held him close rubbing circles into his back. You knew how it felt to feel like you'd lose someone all over again, Inari was so young. Too young to no this kind of pain, that's why you fought for him, to protect him. Becuase no one should know that kind of pain.

You pulled away from him a bit to look him in the eye going to one knee in front of him your arms on his shoulders as he sniffled trying to wipe away his rapid tears "Inari. I can't promise you that I'll always be here, but I can promise that I'll alway be here when you need me." You began and Inari looked up at you his tears drying "Your my family now Inari. My little brother. And you will never. Ever lose your family. As long as you keep them..." you put a hand to his chest slowly "right here. As close as you can to your heart" you smiled up at him fighting your own tears.

Inari sniffled once more and with a chocked up beam of happiness he wrapped his arm's around you quickly and you held him close keeping in your wince of pain.

"I love you onee-chan" he whispered as he sobbed happily into your shoulder, you held back a gasp as he buried his head into the crook of your neck.

You felt a tear run down the side of your face as he said this and your bottom lip quivered as a tear ran down the side of your face as you held onto your brother.

"I love you too little brother" you whispered and you both sat in silence for a moment Inari collapsing into your open arms with your fingers running through his hair soothingly as he slipped into a slumber.
