Chapter Eight

Encre struggled against the red-eyed boy's grip, not wanting to see Fallacy. But, despite his attempts, the boy's grip refused to loosen. He was pulled into the castle and the first face he saw was Suave's. The servant waved at the painter, who waved back. Suave looked at the unnaturally strong child and smiled, "Thank you Charlos. Fallacy will be very proud of you. Good job not eating him as well." Charlos grumbled something that sounded like, "You better feel lucky mortal," but only said, "No problem Suave. I'm heading back out, see ya."
Suave waved at the child and turned back to Encre, "M'lord is extremely upset with you." Encre rolled his (lack of) eyes, refusing to let Suave know how truly terrified he was. Suave gave him a patient smile, "Follow me." Encre stood still for a moment, right before hearing, "That was not a question." This made Encre move, following after Fallacy's servant. On the way he saw many rooms, one caught his eye, a giant room with a grand piano in the canter of it.
Eventually the "tour" ended and Encre's flame of curiosity was doused with water as he saw the true reality. Fallacy stood in Encre's "prison" his arms crossed. As soon as he saw him, he flew into a rage. Encre didn't know why, but to him it sounded like Fallacy was worried? The thought seemed so absurd, but Encre did not dismiss it as most would have. He listened to every word of Fallacy's rant, hoping to find out if he was concerned in reality.
Soon enough, Fallacy's rage ended, and Encre swore he could've heard him mumble, "I'm glad you're back," but he wasn't that certain. Fallacy left the room with Suave, making sure the door was locked behind him. Encre sat on the bed, mulling over what had just happened. Had Fallacy been worried about Encre? Or was he just angry his prisoner got away? Encre was unsure. It grew dark and eventually he fell asleep, wrapping himself up in the blankets. He never even checked the window to see if he could escape.
