Okay out of all the chapters this one is one of my favorites and I hope you enjoy!

You and Free De La Hoya will both fall...What makes you think you can control that golden power of yours long enough to stop me....

I've seen what you've done with that power. And we both know you still can't control it well enough. You've already hurt your friends who'll be next....

Valt Aoi was once again trapped in the dark realm. There was a dead silence in the air as he ran from Phi. As Valt got further he could hear the laughter fad and come back again.

"There is no escape Valt, you're partner can't save you now; you're all mine."

Phi's power spread, making Valt drop to his knees. The pain was too much, and as Valt grew weaker Phi grew stronger with every minute.

Behind him his friends slowly turned to his side with dead looks on their faces and glazed eyes.

"Leave them alone Phi!"

Phi only laughed as Valt tried to wake them up.

"It's no use they're far too gone and you're the last one, the last blader."

Looking around Valt realized he was the only blader.

"You're finished."

Valt rose up while Phi held out his hand with a smirk on his face. Valt's body twisted up in pain as Phi moved his fingers.

"You're my puppet now Valt."

Phi's power washed over him and he could feel his mind drifting away.

"No...it can't end like this." Valt struggled.

"It's too late."

Phi's voice echoed as the world around him began to darken. Valt closed his eyes and everything turned black.

Valt sat up heavily breathing, sweat covered his forehead and everything felt blurry.

Even though it was a dream Valt could still feel Phi's power deep inside him. But it wasn't trying to take over, instead it seemed to be wanting to escape.

Like it was trying to get back to its host or... something else.

Regardless of Phi's power Valt was already awake. Looking over at the hotel's clock it was about 5:30 in the morning.

It was still dark out and Shu was still asleep. Sneaking around the hotel room Valt quietly got dressed and left the room.

After jogging to the arena the sun was beginning to climb the sky casting a single shadow over the parking lot: Theodore's car.

Looking in the back boxes were stacked full of files. As he bent down to get a better look a small object dropped out of his pocket.

Frees present. Picking it back up the small box was green with a white bow. It was a long and narrow box but not at all heavy.

In fact when Valt put it back in his pocket he didn't really feel anything inside the box.

Walking into the building Valt tried thinking of possible gifts but after thinking he realized he actually didn't know that much about Free and his life outside of BC Sol.

As Valt walked in, Theodore Glass watched from afar.

Valt usually sleeps in. I didn't expect him to come in this early... whatever the case this only speeds things up

Going back to what he was doing he packed up the very last box putting all of his files in the box sealing them up.

Normally Theodore liked the keep everything on the computer. Categorized and easy to find but when it came to people he could never be too careful.

So instead he used an old school filing system for Bladers.

Looking back at his table two files were left: Free De La Hoya's and Valt Aoi's. Theodore already had copies of their information in another box somewhere but you never know what you could find during a battle.

Speaking of the devil right as Theodore taped up the last box Valt opened the door.

"Valt, I wasn't expecting you to come in this early."

"How do I defeat Phi?"

"Straight to the point that's what I like about you."

Theodore got up from his desk pacing around the room with his hands behind his back.

"But first things first."

Theodore held out his hand.

"Valtryek if you please."

Valt started to take out Valtryek and reluctantly put it in his palm.

Theodore looked at it for a couple of minutes and for a second Valt could've sworn his eyes were glowing golden. He smiled big and wide.

After another minute or two he threw Valtryek back to Valt.

"But I thought..."

"There's been a change in plans you're not going anywhere Valt."

"But Free..."

"Today is a very special day as you know and it's the last battle of the tournament before the champion is declared. As you know Phi has held onto the title for way too long and it's time he was beaten.

"The only way you're going to defeat Phi is by sending him to prison but not just any prison. The resonance prison Valerie freed Vahugan. Valerie was always easy to manipulate even from the start and to think all she wanted was to get stronger."

"What's in it for you Theodore?"

"I think you know that answer as well as I do Valt but when it comes to teaching a lesson a review never hurts. As you know I want Valtryek but that's not all I also want you. I could teach you so much about your power, more than anyone else could and all you have to do is leave with me."

"Leave? But.."

"Now I know you're upset...."

"What makes you think I would just leave with you? After everything that's happened!"

Theodore started chuckling and it soon turned into full blown laughter.

"You're a bad man." Valt spat. His eyes started glowing golden and his hair started moving. A ghostly version of Valtryek could barely be seen.

"Nice try Valt but I know you can do better than that but rest assured I've been called worse. Now I know you weren't planning on being here again but I didn't just call you in here to make use of our deal..." Theodore began pacing around the room.

His voice got dark and he was no longer friendly.

"Tell my Valt can you do this yet with your power?"

Holding out his hand Valt stiffened up in his chair.

"Fine, I'll come with you if you let my friends go. They've got nothing to do with us and they've already been through so much."

"Always so noble Valt, putting your friends before you."

"You know if things were different I think we could've gotten along and maybe I could've even taught you how to do this."

Moving his fingers Valt stood up.

"You know I can see why Phi likes doing this.." he muttered.

"What are you going to do with me?" Valt asked fearfully.

"A good card player never shows his hand but in due time everything will be revealed. You know if things were different you could've been my number one blader instead of Phi..."

"Blading is about fun not power!"

Valt's body tightened up and he could feel Theodore's power slowly taking over.

"What a shame you actually took the time to come to me only to find that you're not going anywhere...."

Theodore's power slowly began to take over and Valt could feel himself slipping away to Theodore's will.

I need to stall him...

"I don't understand, why are you running away?"

"I don't expect you to understand my child.......or should I say Brown Eye..."

Theodore's power finished its job until Valt was gone.

Letting his power die down Theodore let go of Valt letting him drop to the ground.

"How do you feel, Brown Eye?"

Sitting up Valt looked at Theodore with dead brown eyes, there was no trace of gold or happiness and instead there was a dead expression on his face and no hope in his eyes.

Before he could respond the office door flew open with Kris standing in the doorway. Theodore instantly lost his concentration and Valt was freed from Theodore.

"Good morning Kris, I-I wasn't expecting you to be here. I hope you'll forgive me for looking unprofessional at the moment."

Straightening up Theodore went back to his desk and sat down.

"Would you like anything to drink?"

"No in fact I'm here for Valt, now if you'll excuse me Theodore I need to go help Valt train and I suggest you do the same for your team if you still have one by the time this tournament is over."

Walking out the door Valt followed giving Theodore one more glance before following her into the hallway.

After closing the door Theodore was left alone once again with only his thoughts to keep him company.

Pulling the last two files out of his desk drawer he found the box he was looking for pulling off the lid he found exactly what he was looking for. Pulling out Valt's folder he wrote down a single word: dangerous.

Going back to what he was doing Theodore watched Valt walked down to the hallway.

I may have told you how to defeat Phi but I never did tell you how to defeat me or Free....
