"If I give up my powers, you'll free them?"
A deep, frightening laugh sounded from the evil master. It chilled Elise's bones, making her shake more than ever. Her friends watched with wide eyes, unable to look away from the teenager.
"DON'T DO IT, ELISE!"
"Of course. I will not harm a single hair on them."
"How can I be sure you'll keep your word?"
The master laughed again. Elise struggled to control her shallow breathing, her heart racing in her chest. Beads of sweat trickled down her face under her mask. Her body pressed up against the wall, trying to hide from the master. She had nothing to defend herself with. A dark shadow fell over her, making Elise jump back with wid chestnut brown eyes that gazed at the figure in fear.
"You don't have much of a choice, Elise."
