The unraveling of Maya Lee's life was the easy part. A simple pull of a single thread and all that she knew and loved came apart at the seams.
The actual hard part of it all was finding a way to stitch everything back together, especially when Maya herself had no motivation to even try. She knew deep down she didn't deserve her old life ever again. How could she? Not after what had happened that day of the accident.

All Damian remembers was that there was a flash of pain and then an accident. After his sudden death, he's more than ready and more than willing to spend the rest of his afterlife upstairs in the pearly gates of, well, you know where. But before he can do that, he is tasked with the overly bearing duty of guiding a lost soul down on Earth and helping them get their life back on track. The role of a guardian angel seemed easy enough to Damian at first, he could handle this over glorified babysitting gig piece of cake.

That was until he was assigned to Maya Lee.
