Abeer's POV

She was going to sign but a phone came and don't know what happened to her..the phone and pen both fell from her hands and she fell on the couch with a thud !!!

"Meera.." We all shouted

"Meeraa...Meeraa.. what happened.. Meeraa" I panicked.

What had happened to her so suddenly!!
She looked at me while tears were flowing through her eyes.

"Meera.. Look at me. Whose on the call..what happened" I asked putting my hands on her cheeks wiping her tears.

I can't see her like this !!

"Mom..Mom.. Attack...Mom..." She was trying to say but couldn't complete.

"Mom..what happened to mom" I asked concerned

" Abeerr.... Mom.. suffered... a... a.. ser.. serious... hea... heart... att.. attack" she sobbed badly and I looked at her shocked.

Mom !! Her heart is already weak!!

I picked up her phone and put it near my ear.

"He..hello" I stammered

"Abeer. Where the hell is your phone" dad whisper yelled and I looked in my pockets.

Damn!! I forget it in office room

"Dad. What happened to mom" I asked concerned.

"She..she suffered second attack and her condition is very severe" dad said and tear fell down my eyes.

"Dad..Don't worry, we're leaving for India right now" I told and he hummed.

I cut the call and looked at Meera.
She was crying badly till now.

I kneeled down near her and wiped her tears away.

"Hey...sush!! Don't cry. Everything will be fine. Nothing will happen to mom." I said and she cried harder.

"I want to go to her. I want to go India. She needs me...Please take me there Abeer. Please" She cried and hugged me.

I Felt like homecoming !!

I hugged her back tightly.

"Hey..Nothing will happen. Trust me. We're going right now. Don't worry" I whispered and may be she realised her position and shifted back while crying.

"Joseph... Get the jet ready right now" I commanded and he nodded

"Advik.." I said and he nodded

"We'll see all this later. Mrs.Collins, sorry for the inconvenience " Advik apologized

"No worries. You all take care..and I think these papers will not be needed now" she told and I looked at her while she passed me a smile.

"Take care" she added and I nodded

"Abeer..we're also coming with you" said Advik

"Yes Abeer" Naina told

"Yes Abeer.. I'm also coming" said Scarlett aunty

"No Advik. We'll go. You stay here. We'll call you if we'll need any help from here and you too Scarlett aunty." I said

"Emm..okay. Take care both of you and remember we're just a call away" Naina told and I nodded

"Aunty bring her medicines from upstairs" I said and she nodded

I looked at Meera and she looked at me.

"I want to see mom.." She said and sobbed

"Meera..come. Slowly " I told giving her my hand and this time she didn't deny.

"Mom will be fine Meera. Don't worry " I said and she nodded

"Sir jet is ready." Joseph came saying

"Start the car" I said and he nodded going.

"Abeer child. Take Meera's medicines. And Sweety take care. Mrs. Malhotra will be fine" She said and Meera nodded hugging her

"Come let's go" I told and she nodded.

We went to the airport and sat in the jet.

I came to the room of the jet and looked at Meera and she was resting her head on the back of the bed. Her eyes were closed and tears were flowing down.

"Meera" I whispered softly and she looked at me.

"She'll be fine na" she asked and I nodded.

"She'll be and seeing you she'll be more fine" I said smiling.

I myself don't know how her state is. I myself can't imagine anything. God please make her all good again. Please!!

"Pinky Promise? " She asked like a two year kid and I smiled

"Pinky promise" I said wiping her tears by my thumbs sitting beside her.

I don't know if she's not seeing me so close to her or she's not paying attention but she's not restricting me from coming near her and I can't be more happy if she's allowing me in her personal space.

What a dilemma it is!! I'm being happy and sad at the same time!!

One most important woman of my life is fighting for her heart and another is making me loose my heart to her forever!!

Suddenly I felt some weight on my shoulder when I turned to see Meera.
Her head was resting on my shoulder and her dark brown locks were falling on her face.

"I know I too have been the reason of your tears but trust me I hate tears on this beautiful  face " I said putting those hair strands behind her ears.

She's a heavy sleeper!
And now the effects of medicines too!!

I too closed my eyes and only one thought was coming in my mind.
I just hope mom to be fine.

It was 7 in the evening.
We'll reach India at 11 pm.

Last time we reached in thirteen hours but today we need to be there as soon as possible.

Suddenly there was some movement and I looked on my side.

"Meera.. " I said and she looked at me and instantly shifted away from me.

I feel the absence of her presence close to me!!

"I.. I'm sorry. I didn't.. do it.." she was blabbering when I smiled.

"I know you didn't do it intentionally. It's okay" I said and she looked at me

"How you always know what I'm going to say" she asked and I smiled

"Just like that" I said and she looked at me.

"Don't Abeer. Don't try to fake anything when I'm already tensed" She said and tears again pooled her eyes.

Damn!! I can't see these. Already her face was tear stricken...

"Hey sush!! Nothing will happen. I told you na she'll be perfectly alright" I told and she nodded

There was a knock on the door and Joseph was there.

"Sir...dinner is ready" He said and I nodded while air hostess plated our dinner and then went away.

"Eat Meera" I said

"I'm not hungry" she told

"Meera..you've to take medicines." I said

"I don't want to Abeer Malhotra. Don't force me please" she whined and I sighed.

"Listen here. Tell me one thing.. Will your not eating food make mom alright " I asked and she looked at me

"No just tell me..if that's so Meera.. Then I'm ready to die of hunger if that makes my mom alright" I said and she looked down.

"Meera..you know when mom will wake up and will come to know this she'll be more sad. Do you want mom to be sad" I asked and she denied like a kid.

"Not at all" She said

"Then eat" I told and she nodded.

She's like a small child. You just have to deal with her patiently!

Patience!!  The quality which I'm deprived off !!

"Why are you not eating" She asked

"I'm.. Actually.. I just now had coffee before you woke up..so not hungry." I said and she nodded.

It's important for you to take medicines Meera... I know you're eating with a heavy heart...
I've lost my appetite.. All I want right now is to see mom !!
To eat from her hands as she used to feed me in childhood.

"Your being hungry would not make mom alright" she said and I looked at her

"Will you want mom to feel bad knowing that her son didn't eat " She added and I smiled.

Repeating my words to me only!!

"Never." I said and ate some food.

"Now take these medicines" I told after we completed our dinner.

"I'll take myself. You.. You don't need to do all this" She told

"I'm doing this for My Wife" I said and she looked at me.

"Will not be sooner" she said and gulped them.

I looked at her.

I gave one chance to our destiny Meera...if destiny wanted to separate us then it could've!!

But no !!

Our divorce was taking place still it didn't take place.

My love is very true Meera and it will definitely return to me !

Now no chance for loosing you Meera!!

"How much time more" she asked and I looked at my wristwatch.

"Three hours more" I said and she sighed resting her head on the back of the bed.

For me sleep was no where near to a bit. Right now I just wanted to see one face. Mom's face !!

After three hours flight landed Mumbai and we directly went to hospital.

"Sir...here this way please" came dad's PAs voice and I nodded.

I looked at Meera and she was shivering.

"Meeraa...what happened" I asked and she looked at me

"No..no..nothing " she said and I looked at her.

I took her hand in mine and squeezed her hand

"I'm here.No worries. She'll be okay" I said and she nodded

"Come" I told and we went to fifth floor.

"Dad" I whispered seeing dad and hugged him

His eyes were tensed and sad.

"How is mom" I asked

"In OT" he said and I looked at the OT

"What did doctor say" I asked

"Heart transplantation" he said and I looked at him

"Isn't there any other option dad" I asked and he denied.

"Meera...you came hospital" Dad asked shocked and she nodded

I looked at her fingers.
They were crossed and she was panting.

"Meeraa...what happened" I asked

"Abeer she's.. " dad was going to say when she spoke.

"I'm just tensed about mom..." she said looking at dad and I looked at both of them.

"Meera..doll you should go and rest at home..and one minute..what happened to your hand" dad asked and I looked at her.

"Nothing dad..just got a cut by knife" she lied and I sighed.

It's making me so much guilty !!

"Why so carelessness Meera.Okay now go home" dad said and she denied

"I'll not go anywhere till I see her all fit and fine in front of me" She said

"Meera..you'll.. Just go doll" He repeated

"No.I said na I'll not go anywhere. You don't worry about me" she was adamant and dad sighed

"You're very stubborn Meera" dad said and she smiled

"Learnt from you dad..Do that only which your heart says" She told and I smiled

"He used to say me the same" I said and she looked at me.

"What happened to you guys...in any fight"dad asked and we looked at each other shocked

"What.No not at all.Right Abeer" She asked looking at me

"Yeah dad. How can I have fight with my sweety" I said smiling at her and she forced a smile.

I genuinely love to call you sweety and tease you , sweeety!!

But suddenly  there were tears in her eyes.

"Hey...Meera what happened " I asked

"Doll..what happened " dad too asked

"Mom calls me..sweety many times..and I..I want her to wake up fast and call me sweety..come here"she sobbed and I wiped her tears

"Meera..she'll be alright. You see..soon she'll wake up and say..Sweetyy come here" I said and she smiled

Genuinely smiled !!

"Now go and rest there on couch. The medicines will otherwise have worse effect and you'll fade " I said and she nodded

She went and rested on the couch for sometime.. while I looked at dad.

"How this happened dad. Was mom tensed about anything "  I asked

"No Abeer.It's just you know her heart is very weak and suddenly today she felt pain in heart and then she fainted.
We came directly here and doctors did some tests and told that heart is damaged..and transplantation is necessary " dad said in a heavy voice and I nodded

"Dad..." I asked and he hummed

"Mom will be fine right" I asked wiping my tear and he looked at me

"Aditi has to be fine..For me...For you..for her sweety she has to be fine and she'll be.She's a strong lady..she'll fight and will be alright" dad said putting his hand on my head while tears came out of my eyes.

"Dad..I..I can't imagine anything without her. I may grow in age but I'll be her small Abeer only. You know till now I said myself that everything will be fine...just because Meera was soo soo much tensed..but you and I both know condition is so damn critical.. And in front of you I know I can't be strong. I want to see her dad..I want her to hug me tightly." I whispered and hugged dad tightly.

I know I should be strong but in front of your parents... you can express yourself. You know that they're there to hug you tightly and say that everything will be fine !!

Just this one sentence can give you much relief !!

"Everything will be fine Abeer.." he said patting my shoulder and I nodded.

Your Son..your Sweety and Our backbone is waiting for you Mom !!
