Kenneth's POV

I sneak out of the house and run to the meeting point. We got back to the pack house with the omega and Alpha Fred started asking him some questions. After he got some answers, him and other warriors went out for a hunt in hope of finding the one captured. But from how I know about these people, I knew they won't find anything even if they left. I was just glad to use this time they will be away to go and meet up with the assassins.

"Alick and Clara, you guys go and guard my mate. I don't trust this pack's warriors." I order the moment I approach the guys.

"Yes Alpha." They say and then leave immediately, running the way I just came.

"Don have you led them away?" I ask as Ron spreads out the map on the forest floor.

"Yes Alpha. I've managed to lead the pack away from the tracks we found." He replies as I study the map.

"We are almost there." Owen informs me and soon enough, I smell the humans and him approaching.

"Alpha," whom I assume to be the leader of the group speaks up the moment they approach us.
"I received orders this morning that we are to work with you."

"You got that right. Now we will hold off the introductions until later and let's do this as fast as possible." I say and he nods.

"There seems to be an underground train station and I believe that is where they might hide." Ron explains and after studying the map we spread out in search of the station entry. It is an old thing and the main entries were closed. So we had to search for a secret entry.

"I've found a tunnel heading down this way." The human I spoked to earlier, explains.

"Name?" I ask.

"Francis."

I signal the others and we both go down the tunnel in silence. We walk for sometime and then I hear distant noises. I signal the others to not make noise and we slowly approach the area they are in. A quick scan of the area, I notice there are just three guards and the captured one.

"They can't be just three. There has to be others." Ron links me and I totally agree with him. Though I was perfectly sure that there has to be others, the question was where were they?

"No you fool. We will kill this one when the others come back with his twin." One of the guards said.

"True. They should be there by now and will soon return." One of the other agreed with the first speaker.

I managed to hold back my growl as the news registered in my ear. There were currently kidnappers who were going to my mate. The other twin they seemed was with my mate. Roman was in danger and I had to get out of here fast.

"Alpha don't make rush decisions."

"I have to leave now."

"I understand but if they notice us here, they might kill the one captured." Ron says and I growl at him through the link. "We need to capture those guys for questioning." Ron continues.

"To hell with that!" I growled and my clothes tear as I change forms.

I run in wolf form towards the one nearest to the captive and kill him in one bite. I look around and found the other two dead by Owen and Francis. I nod to them and run out of the place, up the tunnel.

The humans and two of my men stay behind as the others follow me back to the pack house.

"Alpha! We have some intruders here." Alick informs and I hasten my movements.

"Secure Roman. I'm on my way." I order and close the link.

It takes us sometime to reach the pack house, since the station was situated a bit far from here. I reach the pack house and from the dead warriors on the ground, I know they were losing the battle. I growl loudly as I tear the neck of the first intruder I see. It I'd time to turn the battle victorious.

I lost count of how many I kill as I make my way to where I smell my mate. I run to the backyard where I find Alick and Clara fighting off two intruder wolf each, while in wolf form. I jump on one and manage to get him off Alick. Then I hear Roman's scream and my eyes focus there, forgetting the enemy I got off Alick.

I growl in pain from my side and I move my eyes from Roman for a bit. I shake off the wolf and tear into his skin until he bleeds to death. I then run to Roman and push off a guy who was just about to stab the omega I found earlier. I move in for a kill but suddenly I get pushed off. I stand myself off the ground and growl at Ron in his wolf form but he growls back to me as he stands guard before the enemy guy.

"Move!" I yell at Ron.

"I can't. Don't kill him." He says a bit shakily and I know he won't resist my order any longer.

"Move Ron!"

"But Alph-" he starts to say but I knock him aside and he knocks into the guy, making him unconscious on the ground. The need to kill this one is so strong. He had a knife near my mate and could have easily killed him.

"Kenny please don't kill him." Ron pleads.

"Why not? He could have killed my mate."

"He's my mate!" Ron shouts at me and I stop my advances to the unconscious guy.

"What?" I ask and Ron whimpers.

"He's my mate Kenny. Please spare him." He replies and I groan. Fucking perfect! I howl in frustration and turn away from the guy. Ron immediately approaches the body and I hear him whimper.

"He's a prisoner. I don't care if he's your mate or not. He will stay in cell."

"Yes Alpha." He replies and I head back to my mate.

I quickly change back to human as I kneel before my unconscious mate. The omega assures me that he's fine and that he already healed my mate's scratch that he had. I give Owen orders to organise things for now and to take care of our prisoner. I was glad to hear that no one escaped and they were all dead expect the prisoner.

Alpha Fred and the other warriors arrive back and I just tell him to make sure everything was in order. I head up to my room and lay my mate on the bed. I remove the T-shirt and scan him for any other injury. I don't smell blood on him and he's perfectly fine of any physical injury. I cover him with a duvet since its called and I walk inside the bathroom.

I examine the damage on my side and I see it is healing perfectly. I tear the shirt I had on Roman earlier and tie it around the wound to stop further bleeding. I link two of my assassins and tell them to stand guard of Roman as I go downstairs to see how everything was.

I meet with Fred and he tells me no children or omega was found hurt or dead. Just a good number of warriors were killed. They were assembling all the dead bodies and planned to have a funeral ceremony tomorrow.

I meet with Owen and he reports that the captured twin got back unharmed. The twins were currently under the watch of the group. There were also two injured humans and one wolf. The omega healer healed them though and they were doing fine. The prison was currently held in the hold cells of Alpha Fred's pack. And that was where Ron was. I go there and check the prisoner and once I'm satisfied of what I see, I head back to my room.

I hold Roman to me and kiss his forehead and I let myself sleep. Tonight was such a tiresome night.

I woke up so early this morning for the part of the funeral ceremony. This morning cremation took place and this afternoon will be time to bury the ashes. When we were done there, I didn't go back to bed but to Fred's office. There were a few things that I needed to evaluate before I leave.

One thing I noticed was how weak the warriors were. In a simple fight like yesterday, there shouldn't have been many warriors dead. Even a number of five was too much but unfortunately it was more than five.

I write a training schedule for the pack. Anyone of the age twelve will be training from tomorrow. As a pack, they had to be strong and ready for attacks like those now and then. I know my kingdom has enemies and for such, we had to be ready for anything. And now with these attacks, it was better for the pack. So that they would protect their loved ones.

"Alpha. Your mate is awake." Clara links me and I tell her I'll be there soon.

I finish writing the necessities and exit the office. I head to were the twins are. Charles bows at me as I pass him and enter the room were I find the twins.

"Alpha." They greet me and I give them a nod.

"Names."

"I'm Edward and his Edwin." The one who was captured answers as he points to the omega. They are identical but I differentiate them by their scent. I dismiss Charles from the door and when I sense there is no one to overhear our conversation, I turn to the twins with a serious face.

"How did you know to contact my mate?" I ask and they look at each other then back at me.

"Our mother told us stories about healers. She said there is a powerful healer who protects other healers and to send a call if we were in trouble." Edward replies.

"I just shouted help in my head and wasn't sure if it worked or not. I knew it worked when I sensed your mate." Edwin says with a smile.

"No one knows that my mate is a healer. And now that you know, I have no choice but to-"

"Please don't kill us alpha." Edward pleads and falls on his neck in submission.

"Not kill. I have no choice but to take you with me." I say as I stand him up. "However, you should swear not to tell a soul about what you know of my mate." I tell him and he nods violently. I then look at Edwin and he smiles.

"I swear not to tell a soul Alpha." He says.

"Good. Now Edwin, go up to my room and help Roman to bath. Edward you go with Charles and collect what you will take with you back to my place." I tell them and link Charles to come back and go with Edward.

"Yes alpha." The twins answer and I leave the room.

I go to the cells and dismiss the guards there. I walk inside and find Ron sitting on the ground, his eyes on the sleeping guy in the cell. I sigh and sit myself beside him.

"Happy birthday Ron." I say with a smile.

"Thank you Kenny." He says and we fell silent as we both gaze at the guy.

Why did his mate had to be an enemy? If Ron wasn't there in time, I would have killed him. Somehow I felt it was risky to keep him alive and with us but then he was also a good source of information. Nonetheless, he was a prisoner.

"Did you guys talk?"

"No we didn't. Well, he didn't answer me anything. He even refused to eat or drink anything I brought." Ron replies and I feel the sadness in his voice.

"Don't worry. He will come around." I assure him and he nods.

"Alpha we are ready to go." Hilda links me and I stand up and help Ron do the same.

Ron carries his sleeping mate out the cell and to the car that is parked outside. Him and a good number of my other men get on the car. Felix and Alick will stay behind to train the pack warriors. I watch from a distance as my mate says farewell to the Luna, Fred's mate. Then Clara helps him inside my car.

"Thank you for your visit Alpha." Fred says when I approach him.

"You should send me a report on everything I've told you to look on. Once every week."

"Yes Alpha." He agrees and I wave at the Luna then get in my car.

I start the car and drive off, then the other cars follow behind me as two others lead the way. The twins are sitting in the back seat and now and then, they talk with Roman. I smile knowing that our way back will be full of charter than when we were coming here.
