This novel originally started as an answer to the Open Novella Contest's prompts this year (2026), but as stories often do, it outgrew the shoes it was meant to fit in.

I tried to make it a novella, I failed. But, I succeeded in making it a novel instead. 

Inspiration for this book comes from my own time in academia, my deep love for the sea, and my equally deep love for sea monsters, underwater ruins, and the story of Atlantis. You'll likely see a little bit of all of this in here.

This is unedited and may not be updated super frequently. Also, please note, I live in New Zealand so chances are, you'll have me responding to comments and posting at some weird, weird times.

Maybe think of me as your own personal sea monster calling from the other side of the world, quietly going, "read my boooooooooooooooooook."
