Chapter - Two
Carys's P.O.V📍
"Oh you did not just do that!" Mary said still in shock.
I just raised my eyebrow at her.
"Okay. I was wrong this time so I will let you go." She confessed.
I rolled my eyes and murmured "You are always wrong Mary."
"I heard that." She replied from behind. When did she move?
"You know what I realized?" I asked as i turned to her with a mischievous glint in my eyes.
"What?" She narrowed her eyes at me.
"I realized that you pay attention only when someone insults you." With that said I heard someone laughing from behind me. I, Yet again had to turn and face the person.
There she was, Jil Herbert. The 'I don't care' type of girl, obviously a softie for us.
"That is so true! Isn't it Mary?" She winked at me and started laughing again. And she did pay for it as a second later Mary elbowed her in her stomach which made her bend and kneel on the ground.
"Damn abusive woman! That was really hard." She said with an expression which clearly meant Pain.
"Oh I am so sorry Jil! But I swear that it was done on purpose." Mary smirked obviously proud of her actions.
Just as Jil got up and was about to reply, someone came to us. And that someone was certainly not the one anyone in this whole world would want to face early morning.
"Good morning ma'am. It's a pleasure to see you." Not. But neverthless I greeted her with the best smile I could muster.
I could hear Mary mumbling a "Ya Right" and at that moment I wanted nothing more to ask her, no, ask god to seal her mouth for a good three minutes.
"Well Caprice, I am glad i found you before the class." She said with a genuine smile.
I, for the world, couldn't believe that Ms. Gorina smiled at me. And my friends didn't either. Their loud gasps proved it.
But just that one second, my world came crushing down when i realised what she just said. 'Caprice' is definitely not ME.
"I am sorry ma'am but-"
"No apologies dear. In fact I'm sorry for misunderstanding you." Little did she know. She smiled and kept a hand on my shoulder. That touch was enough to make me cry.
"No ma'am. It is a misunderstan-"
"Oh dear, I told you already that I am sorry. Anyways I have to leave. Just wanted to say that you have done well in your test. See you in class." With that she turned and walked away.
"Walked away from my life after crushing my soul,
To hurt me hundred times at once, was this your goal?" Did I mention I speak quotes? Anyways, Back to my world.
Oh my god. I might just cry now.
I turned to my friends for help but they looked like THEY could cry any moment with their mouth still hanging open.
"Guys help me!" I pushed them with force which brought them back to the world.
They closed their mouth but only for a second.
"How could you do this to us?" Mary asked.
"How could you betray us?" Jil asked.
"Don't you guys trust me?" I asked them.
"No." They both replied simultaneously.
"Why were you acting if you did well in math? I mean how did you- ugh I don't understand." Mary said obviously confused.
"Because this is a misunderstanding. My name is not 'Caprice'. And she clearly said 'Caprice'. How will i face her wrath after she realizes that i am not caprice. Oh my god, you people got to help me." I looked at them and they looked back at me.
After four seconds of the most confusing eye contact in my life, they bursted out laughing.
"Thank god! I thought you actually did well." Jil sighed in relief.
"Wait. You don't want me to get good marks?" I asked feeling heartbroken already.
"Of course i do. What i meant was not you alone." She replied.
"It's everything together and us forever." Mary smiled.
I smiled back. But my smile vanished as soon as it came.
"But how will I face her now?" Just the thought of facing her made me shiver.
"I should just skip this class." I mumbled.
"And face her wrath in the next class." Jil said.
"So that she prepares her speech a bit more lengthy and insults you a bit more. She might also-" I cut Mary off.
"Okay! I am not going to skip this class. I will attend it with you guys."
It's best to face your problems at that very moment when it rises rather than leaving it for tomorrow. Ignoring it won't change or lessen your problems but just increase and create more problems for you.
"That's a smart decision." Jil smiled.
"I am so not going to leave Gorilla. I mean 'Caprice Husher' out of everyone and failing Math test! I will have to fix it." Said caprice himself. Said? Or screamed?
I, Carys Wolfhart, am so dead.
