Milestone 9

"How are we gonna do that?" I ask.

"Simple I can just show you, the problem with that is I don't know what will happen to you. Your dreams say that it doesn't matter if you know everything because it seems they want you back after all this time. I guess there is only one way to find out because you need to know what happened in the beginning to think of a deal." Erika comes up to me and puts her hand straight to my head and that is when the images started going through my head.

            "The first night you came to my dreams, I didn't know what it was and then you told me you were from Heaven, and I thought I was going crazy." Erika says in my head as I watch myself appear next to an Erika, with older fashion clothes, in a forest. "Just watch."

"Who are you?" Etekah says to Balies. "I don't think I recognize you."

"I've been watching you from The Heavens, I can't keep my eyes off you, and you're beautiful."

"Why thank you but do you even know who I am, I mean what I am?"

"Of course I do, I am A Watcher up in Heaven and I know you are half demon but I still think I am falling for you."

"You are such a fine man but I don't know you, if you are a watcher come down to earth and we can meet."

"I can't do that if they even found out I was meeting you in your dreams they would kill me." Erika's voice then started up again. "After that you came to my dreams every day and I knew I wouldn't have been able to stop myself from falling for you. Here is the last time you came to my dream before I saw you down on earth."

There was a lake around us and I saw Etekah sitting on a big rock in the middle of the lake and I use my wings to fly over there. Etekah seemed to like when I brought out my wings. I went to the rock and sat down next to her looking up at the stars.

"It's beautiful isn't it?" Etekah speaks up.

"Almost as beautiful as you." I say and she smiles putting her head in my shoulder; I kiss her forehead. She then looks up at me giving me the courage to kiss her on the lips for the first time. When I pull away she speaks up.

"Come down to earth with me, live with me, we could live for eternity together."

"I will ask Zeus for his permission."

"Why can't you just disappear?"

"Because he would then find out and I then don't know what would happen."

"Ask then, tomorrow. Go up and ask and then come down, when I see you I will know."

"I will just for you." And then I hug her. The dream fades. "You asked and then I see you on earth the next day, I knew something was different though and when you just burst into flames in my living room I then knew Zeus didn't give you the deal you wanted."

            Erika takes her hand off my head and I am back in the bedroom with everyone just staring at us and that's when my chest started burning again. I grasped my chest groaning and fall to the floor, everything spinning around me.

"Bailey!" I hear my mom and Erika call for me from a far.

            I could see myself sitting and watching the earth below. I can see a beautiful girl down on earth that I can't keep my eyes off of.

"Bailey can you hear me?" It was Kylie's voice and all I could muffle is a groan and I kept going in and out of the darkness.

            I see Kylie and she looks at me with care and love and next to her is Dean laughing along to something I was saying. The scene shifts and it's only Kylie and I and she looks hurt and she runs away from me trying not to show her tears even though I knew she was crying. I was calling after her apologizing.

"Balies tell us what is wrong." My mom's voice; I still couldn't reply to them, it was like my body was paralyzed and I went back in.

            "Bailes! You have been failing to do much of your work lately, daydreaming too often of that fine lady back down on earth." It was Zeus for some reason it was like I knew him for a long time. I knew today was the day I was going to have the courage to tell him I wanted to go on earth and be with Etekah. He then scolded me in front of everyone and then I was falling and then everything went black.

            The pain in my chest was finally easing but it was being replaced by a new pain in my shoulder blade.

"What the hell?" I put my hand to my shoulder blade to feel something coming through; they were wings, white, beautiful eagle like wings just like Kylie's.

"Someone get Kylie!" I hear Erika yell. Soon after that Kylie is by my side with a smile a on her face.

"I remember everything, after Erika showed me everything she experienced with me when I was still in Heaven I started remembering everything."

"You got your wings! That must mean something right?"

"There is only one way to find out." I start to pull my hand out in front of me but then I am stopped.

"No not yet, get use to them and let's wait a couple of days so we can show you around here and London." Kylie says to me letting go of my hand.

"Fine we can do that but first..." I run outside and jump up into sky to take flight but am accompany by the ground. I turn around to hear laughing from Kylie who followed me out when I ran outside. Soon everyone was joining her laughing and then I was joining them too.

"Why can't I fly?" I was confused. Didn't you just jump up and bam there you were flying in the sky? I guess not.

"You can't just jump and expect to be automatically flying, they are wings you flap them. Have you ever seen an eagle fly?" Kylie giggles.

"Okay let me try again." It takes me a few tries as I keep falling face first in the dirt but after my fifth try I was finally in the sky accompanied by Kylie who had a smile plastered on her face. She grabs my hand and goes faster, scaring me at first but then I get the hang of it and soon we are both flying side by side almost as if to race each other. When we reach the ground full of smiles I look over to Erika who seemed to have jealousy plastered all over her face. She turns around to walk away but I am so full of joy that I run over to her, spin her to face me and give her a passionate kiss on the lips that takes her by surprise at first but then her lips are falling in sync with mine. As we kiss I lift us off the ground causing Erika to pull away and look down, the jealousy gone from her face replaced with love and happiness.

"I will always choose you." I whisper in her ear. She looks into my eyes and then kisses me again but this time just a peck and I take us back to the ground. I expect to see jealousy on Kylie's face but when I look at her all I see is joy and happiness which confuses me at first but I decide to take it.

"Can I talk to you for a minute?" It was Kylie.

"Sure." She grabs my arm and pulls me away to a large oak tree in the middle of my mom's yard.

"I planted this oak tree myself." She smiles up in the sky. "Anyway I realized that no matter how much I love you, you will always choose Etekah first over me and I am fine with that now Balies. I only want to see you happy and I see that in your face when you are with Etekah. Maybe it was there when you and I were together in 1957 and the again when you and I started dating again this year, but I should have known you would always find yourself back to Etekah."

"I know I did love you once, I saw that in 1957 and I felt that this year when we dated but you are right I will always choose Erika and I am sorry."

"There is no reason for you to be sorry, it's just what the world wanted to happen and that is okay."

"Thank you Kylie." I hug her and give her a quick kiss on the cheek making her blush and smile at the ground.

"Let's get back to the group." Kylie says walking away from me. I follow Kylie back to where Faith, Erika, and my mom was.

"What was that all about?" Faith asks.

"Kylie was just giving me tips on my flying it was kind of embarrassing, I guess she didn't want to embarrass me." I stifle a nervous giggle. I was really bad at lying.

"That doesn't sound like Kylie." Erika answers. I give her a "I will tell you about it later" look and she must have understood because she gave me a small nod that only I noticed.

"Should we check back over at the cottage?" Kylie suggests. "We can fly over."

"What about us without wings which is half of us."

"Do you have your wings Sophie?" She shakes her head no.

"Ha guess you guys are walking." Kylie teases.

"Gee thanks Kylie." Faith rolls her eyes at Kylie.

"I was kidding take a joke. We will carry you."

"Carry them?" I ask a little nervous, I didn't want to drop anyone.

"You're wings are stronger than they look and so are you, if Etekah can carry you out through a portal you can fly her around. I will take Sophie and Faith. I will give you a light weight since you are new to all this."

"Good I will take beautiful Erika." I look at her to see her blushing at the ground again.

"You're cute when you bush." I say causing her to blush even more I kind of did it on purpose.

We arrive at the cottage but we are careful to stay above ground until we could see it was safe.

"Okay listen we will land just in front of the door. It looks pretty vacant and safe." Kylie gives us rules to follow. I follow Kylie slowly down to the ground and we look around to see no demons were around. I walk up to the door and knock.

"No reason in knocking Bailey, no one lives here. Everyone believes it is abandoned." Erika explains. I grab the door knob and turn it and the door opens with a creek, I carefully step in not wanting a demon to come and attack me even though we were stalked with weapons.

"Come on Balies don't be a scaredy cat." Kylie taunts me.

"I am not a scaredy cat." I fight back.

"Then get on with it, no one is going to be in here I had Heaven seal it with protection, no demon from hell can enter."

"So Faith and Erika can enter because they are half mortal?"

"Well obviously, I had this house sealed when Etekah stilled lived there."

"Why would you do that?"

"I have my reasons." Kylie obviously didn't want to say any more about the topic so I decided to change the subject.
