*Sakshi pov*

For few minutes I just stood there stunned then slowly I moved my lips but immediately he moved away from me. I was still in zoning state so I don't know what his expression is and I am trying to make myself stable.

Then he smiled and said "Hmm Thank god it made you stop your speech. I just asked a question ok, no need to attack me."

Did he kiss me to make me stop talking?? How could he?

"I will go down and handle the situation and you stay here and cool off ok." He told me. I couldn't speak at the moment so I just nodded.

Then he closed the door and went away leaving me with my thoughts. I thought he did it because he wanted to but not for this reason. He doesn't know it but I am hurt. That Idiot!!!

After one hour I thought to go down and help aunty for preparing lunch, when I got there no one is in sight of me so I just went inside the kitchen and started preparing for meal.

Preparation is almost over suddenly a voice startled me "You should have called me Sakshi, I would have helped you."

"Its ok aunty, It is not much work." I told her.

"How many times do I have to tell you call me mom ok." she asked me.

"Ok aunt.. I mean mom." I told her with a smile.

"So you cooled down." Aunt.. I mean mom asked me.

"Ya about that I am sorry mom, I shouldn't have shouted like that. I should have controlled myself. I am sorry." I told her sincerely.

"Don't Sakshi , we all are very proud of you that you stood up for Rakesh. So you know all these from when?" She asked me.

"Uhmm for about a week, I know I should have told you all about these but I just couldn't bring myself so I didn't say anything." I said to her.

"So that's why you were down this whole week?" She asked me again.

I nodded but asked with my eyes how did she know.

She understood I guess so she said "We all observed it and worried for you. Now please go to your normal self dear. This past week looked like a sad one for all of us."

I again of course nodded and asked "What are you going to do about him mom?"

"Well now nothing is in our hands, so we decided to arrange a marriage for them as soon as possible. Will you help me in the preparations, there won't be much time." She asked me.

"Of course mom you need not ask me about that." I told her.

After that we all sat down for meals, everyone were quiet. No one dared to start a talk. So we all ate calmly which was usually unusual for us.

Mom asked me to help for inviting guests for engagement and also for meeting the supposed girl.

We started discussing how we can manage it in one week and everything. Time surely passed quickly because it was already dinner time. After that we took care of some more things and went to our respective rooms.

I just calmly went to freshen up and lied down on the bed. Even though Rakesh looked like he want to talk or something before that but I just couldn't bring myself to it.

I didn't forgive him for today thing so I just said "Good night." And went to sleep without waiting to hear his response.

The next whole week was a bizarre due to all the preparations and guess what yes I am still not talking to him properly but with remaining others I was normal completely.

The day of engagement arrived and mom asked me to wear this beautiful sari which I can't even express in words. I was about to finish getting ready, Rakesh came outside washing room wearing a suit. He is like wow in that even though he wears them every day for office but today it looked special.

I know I was checking him out so I just averted my eyes and completed getting ready.

He came near me and said "You are looking beautiful." with a smile.

I just said thank you with no emotion.

"Are you ok? We need to talk." He asked me with a frown.

"I can't there is a lot of work to take care so not now." I told him in rush and moved away.

When I was reaching down Raghu suddenly appeared and said "Can we talk?"

I was about to say no but I saw that Rakesh followed me and I am not in a mood to talk to him without shouting at him which is definitely not a good idea so I nodded to Raghu's question.

He asked me to follow him to our study room, and that's what I did.

After few seconds he said "I am so sorry Sakshi. I shouldn't have done that to you. I should have explained to you before itself and not leave you alone here and most importantly with that type of situation. But trust me you are better off without me; I have changed and am going to change as much as I can for my bride. I just couldn't start a new life without your forgiveness Sakshi so please forgive me."

"I can understand that but if I say that ya I forgive you which would be a total lie so I will try to forgive you and may be succeeding in it eventually. So just think that I will but after sometime but please take care of her. Even your child is there to think about. And also you need to apologize even to your brother ok." I told him.

"Thanks for honesty and yes I will take care of her. And also I already apologized to him. But thank you so much sakshi it means allot to me." He told me sincerely.

"Now leave all this and come on everyone must be waiting." I told him.

He nodded and we both went to the living room where engagement is going to take place.

From corner of my eye I can see that Rakesh wants to talk to me so I absorbed myself with as much work as I can.

My friends too came for this even though they all are angry and ready to kill Raghu, I controlled them and told them to calm down.

The engagement went good and many relatives already returned even my parents but my friends stayed back for some time.

We were all sitting on a table and chatting then Lalitha asked "Is everything ok between you two?"

"Yes. Why?" I asked her confused.

"Because during the whole function he was giving you the silent plead with his eyes and even now too. We all can see that clearly." Trisha said.

"Let him. He is a Jerk." I told them with rage.

"What happened to language that too to your husband? What did he do?" She asked me.

"He kissed me and after that he said he did it to calm me from my speech. Can you believe it he just did that and said that? I hate him." I told her in whisper.

"What you got kissed and didn't say to any one of us. That's not fair Sakshi." She whined.

"Because it's not weather news to tell everyone and did you got only that matter from all my talking." I asked her a little annoyed that she too didn't listened.

"No I get it he did it but said with an excuse that's it right then take revenge." she told me.

"How??" I asked her with sudden interest.

"Simple kiss him and tell some stupid excuse. Tit for Tat." She told me feeling herself as a sudden genius.

I just gave her 'are you kidding' look.

"Or you can let him grieve and at last tell him his mistake." Lalitha said.

We all turned towards her in shock.

"Wow I never thought our lalitha will ever grow up. It is a wonderful idea. Oh my god! Our lalitha is becoming a big girl." Trisha said with wiping away fake tears.

"Ha ha very funny." Lalitha said.

"It is, I too never thought that you would even say that." I told her in shock.

After sometime they too returned to their homes. I stayed for little more time to help mom.

When it is completed I was drained so we said our good night and went into our rooms. I freshen up and was about to fall on the bed to sleep but suddenly Rakesh grabbed my hand and make me turn towards him and said " We. need. to. talk." emphasizing each word.
