"No... I'll stay with mommy.." Dhruvika mouthed stubbornly crossing her arms near her chest when Vrushikha asked her to go home with her..
It was late evening and Vrushikha was going home as Dhruv declared he would be staying will her at night..
Whole evening Swayam and Vrushikha stayed with Hemal and they chatted on random stuff.. He didn't took part of their conversation actively but spoke a few words and faked some smiles so things didn't get awkward.. He even got to know that Swayam and Vrushikha were dating.. They seemed a happy coupled to him and that kinda made him jealous.. He recalled how he planned everything to propose Hemal..
But, alas!! everything took a different turn..
Dhruv sighed painfully and this time he was adamant to know every single truth behind their misery..
At first he had a feeling that something was wrong with Hemal, but now he was sure about it.. He could see a ghost of worry and sorrow in her eyes, even if she was smiling and acting all normal he knew she was not fine..
Later Dhruvika woke up from her mini power nap and was all set to get started with her naughtiness..
Dhruv knew he couldn't talk to Hemal about her problems in front her, still he felt good and surprisingly more energetic seeing her awake..
Dhruvika kept looking at him with her big Bambi eyes without a word, perhaps she was trying to recall about Dhruv..
Actually she didn't noticed him properly when she came as she was crying bitterly and later when she was in his arms, her head was resting on his chest, so even then she didn't looked at his face..
Before she could say anything to him, Vrushikha declared that they were going home and Dhruvika was also coming with them..
And that's it..!! Dhruvika's stubborn mood was on..

"Hemal..!!" Dhruv called out her name to grab her attention as she was busy trying to convince her baby to go home along with Swayam and Vrushikha..
"Yeah..??"
"Let her stay.. I'll take care of her, I promise.." said Dhruv seeing her puppy face and before Hemal could response to his words, Dhruvika jumped on him from the bed and hugged him..
"Yayyyyy!! I'm not going.." she squealed in joy..
And the other three sighed.. Even they knew she wasn't going anywhere at least now.. Her stubbornness was already the toughest thing to deal with and now that she got someone's support, she wasn't going to be convinced even if the whole world try to do it..
"You are good.. I remember you.. You helped me in mommy's office.." Dhruvika finally spoke breaking the hug after making sure that Swayam and Vrushikha had left..
"Really.. Well, thank you.." he kissed her round cheeks and made her sit beside Hemal..
"But what are you doing here..??" she asked narrowing her eyes..
"I'm your mommy's friend and I'm here to take care of her.."
"Friend..?? But I don't know you.." she looked at him suspiciously..
"Baby, he lives in India.. That's why you don't know him.." Hemal answered for him..
"Oh..!! India.. Mommy used to live in India too.. She always says it's a good place.." Dhruvika informed Dhruv..
"Okay..!!" Dhruv chuckled hearing her..
The way she told him about her mom, it seemed she thought Dhruv was unware of the fact that Hemal lived in India..
"Mommy, I'm hungry.." she pouted..
"Aww..!! My baby's hungry.." Hemal lightly tickled her tiny waist making her giggle.. "Wait, mommy will feed you.." and then kissed her both cheeks..

"Dhruv, can you please get me the bag which Vrushy left.. Angel's food is there.." Hemal asked for help..
"Yup sure.." Dhruv got up from the stool and get the bag.. "Let me feed her, Hemal.. You need rest.." he said as Hemal started taking out her food..
"But, Dhruv, you need to prepare the baby food and you don't know how to do it.."
"It's okay.. I can manage.. Just give me instructions and I'll do it.." he smiled in assurance..
"Okay, then.. Do it.." she handed him the required items and instructing him..
Dhruv followed her every word and finally prepared the baby food for Dhruvika who was totally engrossed in playing with her panda and dinosaur soft toy..
"Done.. It's pretty easy.." Dhruv smiled victoriously seeing the bowl of prepared baby food in his hand..
Hemal laughed seeing him so proud just for preparing the baby food..
"Why are you laughing..??" Dhruv asked cluelessly..
"Nothing.. Now feed her, she's hungry.." she chipped supressing her chuckles..
"Yeah..!!" he smiled..
"Baby.. Your food ready.. Come here, I'll feed you.."
Dhruvika's immediately shifted near Dhruv hearing about her food but as she looked at the bowl, she turned her face away.. "No.. I won't eat.."
"What..?! But you said you're hungry.." Dhruv asked in confusion..
"Yes..!! I'm hungry.. But I won't eat this.. It tastes yuck..!!" she made weird faces..
"Then what do you wanna eat??"
"Pizza and French fries and donuts and ice cream.." she muttered with twinkling eyes and licked her lips..
"What?? From where I'll get them at this hour in a hospital..?? And anyways those are very unhealthy, baby.." Dhruv tried to make her understand..
"Noooo!! I want pizza.. I won't eat this.." she whined..
"But, baby listen.."
"Nope.." she again turned her face away..

Now Dhruv knew why everyone talked about her stubbornness.. It seemed impossible to him to convince her about anything.. Dhruv tried some more time to convince her to eat baby food but she was adamant.. He even promised her that he would get her pizza next day, still nothing worked.. He sighed and looked at Hemal with puppy eyes as if asking her to help him out..
"Pretty easy.. Isn't it..??" Hemal finger quoted his words and giggled seeing him all defeated by a four year old..
"Help me, Hemal, please.." he pouted..
"Okay fine, stop pouting.." she rolled her eyes and Dhruv smiled..
"Woah.. What's this..!!" Hemal faked a surprised expression putting her hand inside the bag catching her little girls attention.. "Seems like aunt Vrushy has left a gift for you.."
"A gift..!! Eeee..!! Show me..!!" Dhruvika was super excited..
"Wait..!! You know mommy's rule, right..?? Only good girls get gifts..
And good girls never say no to their food.. So, finish it, be mommy's good girl and then you'll get the gift.." Hemal played her card..
"But, mommy this food tastes bad.." she made a sad face with puppy eyes..
"Puppy eyes charm won't work.. If you want the gift you have to finish your food.. And it's good for your health as well.."
"Humpp..!! Okay fine.. I'll eat.." and she quickly moved to Dhruv..
"Feed me... Fast...!!"
"Yeah..!! Sure.." he feed her a spoonful of baby food and Dhruvika gulped it making faces.. It was the very first time he was feeding a baby, he even never noticed any baby to eat their food and now when he watched Dhruvika having her food he felt it was so fascinating..

"Done..!! Now give me my gift.." Dhruvika demanded her gift after finishing her yucky baby food..
"My baby finished her food.. She's such a good girl.." her mommy cuddled her and kissed her cheeks and her sweet giggles filled the room..
"And here is your gift.." she handed her a chocolate bar..
"Yayy..!!" Dhruvika squealed and unwrapped her chocolate..
"Don't eat too much.." Hemal said caressing her hair..
"Dhruv, you should also go to the canteen and have your dinner.. We have already eaten ours.."
"Yeah, but I can't leave you two alone.."
"I'll call the nurse if I need anything and about her, I'll try to make her sleep now, it's late.." she smiled..
"Okay.." he too smiled at her and bended down a little to kiss Dhruvika's hair.. "Don't trouble mommy.. I'll be back soon.."
"I don't trouble mommy, I'm a good girl.." she spoked munching her chocolate..
"Of course you are.." he smiled and walked out of the hospital cabin..

"She's still awake??" Dhruv asked as soon as he walked back inside the cabin after almost half an hour later..
"Yeah..!! She won't sleep.. You know she had her power nap some time ago and now she isn't sleepy.." Hemal sighed..
"Then what will she do now.." he asked sitting on the stool..
"No idea.. Maybe she'll play.. Only she knows what she wants to do.. She's pretty much unpredictable sometime.." she muttered adoring her baby who was busy play games on her mommy's phone..
"But the baby mama seems sleepy.." he touched her hand..
"Yeah, a little.."
"You sleep, I'll keep eye on her and make her sleep.."
"No, Dhruv.. You can't make her sleep.. It's not pretty easy.." she chuckled lightly.. "You have to pat her gently and caress her hair and sometime she doesn't sleep without lullaby.."
"I'll manage everything and if needed I'll wake you up.. Okay..?? But for now you sleep.."
"But.."
"No buts, Hemal.. I can't deal with two stubborn babies at a time.. So, you just sleep and stop worrying.." he faked anger making Hemal smile..
"Okay.. And best of luck.." she giggled and slowly lied down from her sitting position..
"Mommy, are you sleeping..??" Dhruvika asked lifting her head..
"Yeah..!! Mommy's tired, baby.. Do you wanna sleep with mommy..??"
"No, mommy.. I'll sleep later.. Good night.." and she kissed Hemal's both cheeks..
"Okay.. But baby, do not trouble Dhruv.." she caressed her hair..
"Uffo..!! I don't trouble anybody.." she pouted..
"Aww..!! My baby's a good girl.." she hugged her..
"Okay mommy, give your baby to me and sleep.." Dhruv picked her in his arms..
"Now we'll let mommy sleep and play on the couch, okay.." he kissed her cheeks..
"And I'll lie her down beside you when she'll be asleep.. So, chill.." Dhruv replied her before Hemal could even voice her thoughts..
"Okay.." she smiled and closed her eyes.. And in no time she slipped into deep slumber without any worry as she knew her little girl was in safe hands..

Some humming sound reached Hemal's ears and thinned her slumber.. She slightly opened her eyes and saw Dhruv walking in the partially illuminated room with Dhruvika.. He was rocking her and patting her.. And what.. humming some odd tune..
Hemal was utterly surprised seeing this side of him.. She never thought she would ever see him like that..
"Everything's fine.. Go back to sleep.." Dhruv chipped in an extremely low voice when his eyes fell on a gawking Hemal..
And then he start patting Dhruvika again as she moved a little in her thin sleep..
Hemal smiled at the sight and went back to sleep with her heart filled with happiness and contentment..
