You wake up on a soft bed of golden flowers, and groan. That kinda hurt. After recovering somewhat you get up to explore, but quickly move on from the room. To find a white dog wearing a blue and yellow striped sweater? With hair?
"Hoi I'm Temmie!"

•Scenario 2•
Your shoes crunch the snow underfoot as you walk, jumping over a large branch. You catch a whiff of smoke, but brush it off as it's whisked away a moment later. You approach a bridge, when you hear the large branch snap. You whirl around, to find no one there! Spooked you turn back around, and inch towards the gate.

"Hey human. Don't you know how to greet a new pal? Turn around and shake my hand."
