Underfell! Sans x Reader Fluff
You had finally managed to get past a murderous goat monster named Toriel. She was tall, intimidating, angry, and above all, powerful. She had incredibly high strength fire attacks. They moved quickly, and in order to survive, you had to be quicker. After many tries, you finally mastered the rhythm of her attacks and got out virtually unharmed.
She fell to her knees, weeping. "I-I'm so sorry my child. What ha-have I done? Please go, and do be safe... Please." she begged.
You hugged her tightly. "I forgive you," you whispered.
As another wave of tears washed over her mournful form, you walked to the large metal door to the outside. You pushed it open, stopping only to look back at her. She looked back at you, you smile and for a split moment, she smiles back. Then you turned and left.
Outside, a heavy snow storm was raging. You quickly crossed your arms, trying to shield yourself from the blistering cold. As you walked down the path, you saw a large tree branch. Not being able to pick it up because of it's weight, you left it behind, only to hear it snap like nothing. You barely looked back at the broken branch before walking faster down the path.
You came to a large gate, too wide to hold anything back. There was something or someone behind you. "Human, don't you know how to greet a new friend? The name's Sans. Turn around and shake my hand." a deep voice rang out.
You obliged, turning to face a short skeleton in dark black and red clothing with a gold tooth and save star around his neck. "Hello. My name is," you began as you shook his bony hand, but your words were cut short by the electric shock of an overpowered joy buzzer.
You heard him laugh as you blacked out. You woke up at the ruins door again. This time, you ran, trying to avoid the skeleton man. You were about to walk through the wooden bars but the figure appeared behind you again.
"Human, don't you know-" you ran away. "Hey! Where ya goin' buddy?"
You ignored him and continued running. Suddenly, he appeared in front of you. You weren't able to stop in time, and the ice on the ground didn't help. You slammed into the skeleton at full force. You toppled to the ground, absolutely winded by the impact, however, he stood tall.
"Geez kid, I got one HP. You can chill out. But I guess, lying in the snow will help with that." He laughed at his own stupid joke. You rolled over, trying desperately to catch your breath. You almost didn't realize that he was talking to you. "I should have known ou were falling for me, I mean, I took your breath away!" he laughed even more.
Suddenly, from the path behind Sans, an aggressive voice rang out over the sound of your heavy breathing and Sans's laughter, "SANS! I SWEAR! IF YOU'RE SLACKING OFF AGAIN! I HEAR LAUGHTER!"
Sans sighed, "kid you should hide. My bro is a human hunting fanatic!" You still couldn't move, but you were able to breathe again. "Ah jeez kid," he grabbed your arm roughly. "Don't throw up," was all the warning you received before you were teleported behind what looked to be a sentry station.
Sans teleported himself back into plain sight as a taller skeleton ran into view. You heard them arguing at full volume but were more focused on yourself. You raised your sweater to look at yourself. You had red marks from his ribcage and the zipper on his coat. You lightly touched one of the marks and it hurt significantly.
"SANS, I DO NOT WANT TO LOOK AT YOUR SENTRY STATION NO MATTER HOW 'CONVENIENTLY PLACED' IT IS!"
You looked over the top of the sentry station to see the brothers. "Aww, come on Boss. You need to KETCHUP and MUSTARD up the courage to look. I RELISH the fact that you aren't looking."
"SANS THAT DIDN'T EVEN MAKE SENSE! WHAT DO CONDIMENTS HAVE TO DO WITH YOUR SENTRY DUTY?"
You were also confused until you looked underneath the counter to see bottles of condiments, buns, and hotdogs. You couldn't help but smile at the terrible jokes, knowing that those jokes, although directed at his brother, were meant for you.
Soon the taller skeleton stormed off and Sans teleported back to you. "Can you not just walk? Is that so hard?" you questioned.
"Yes. That requires effort and I used all of my energy keeping you safe. Normally I wouldn't try to help a human... but I suppose this is more interesting."
"Hold on a second, you think you're protecting me?"
"Damn right. I could have given you to my bro, Papyrus." Sans crouched in front of you, "so yeah, I protected you." He leaned in closer to your face.
You moved back quickly, hitting your head on the shelf, also knocking over a jar of mustard which spilled all over you. Both of you howled with laughter. You tried to wipe some of the mustard off of your face but only made it worse.
"Well, if you want to help me so bad, can you show me where I can clean up."
"Well, I don't normally do this but fine. Come on. I gotta place you can go."
You went to his house, had a shower, and got changed into one of Sans's shirt and a pair of pants that on you, were shorts. Ironically the shirt he gave you had a mustard stain on it. You went down the stairs to see Sans, fast asleep on the couch and the other skeleton rubbing his skull in frustration.
You tried to creep back up the stairs but a floorboard creaked under your foot. The skeleton turned around so fast, you couldn't react. Bone attacks were thrown at you, pinning your left arm to the wall.
"WHO THE HELL ARE YOU?!" he screamed, "ARE YOU A HUMAN?! AH-HA! I HAVE FINALLY FOUND ONE! NOW I'LL TAKE YOUR SOUL AND EXACT MY REVENGE ON THE REST OF THE HUMANS!"
He threw more attacks at you and you flinched but nothing hit you. You looked up again to see what looked like an oversized animal skull. The bone attacks had been blocked by this weird creature. It disappeared so you could see Sans with his arm raised, standing in a battle stance.
"Papyrus, I mean boss, do not harm this human."
"WHAT, WHY?!"
"Because I said so."
"THE ONE TIME YOU ACTUALLY DO SOMETHING, AND YOU SIDE WITH A HUMAN?!"
"I ain't sidin' with 'em boss. I'm just," he paused to think, "makin' things interesting. That's all. I mean, think about it boss, we don't know anything about humans except what Alphys told us and that's B.S. So we talk to this one and you are instantly better than other monsters 'cause you know more."
Papyrus was glaring at Sans, deep in thought. Sans looked from Papyrus to you, his signature smile seemed to widen. Papyrus turned to you and Sans winked. "FINE, HUMAN. YOU MAY SPEAK. WELL, I SUPPOSE I BETTER STOP YOU FROM BLEEDING." The bone holding you to the wall faded, causing you to stumble. You had been more focused on hoping Papyrus wouldn't kill you, to really notice the pain you were in. "SANS YOU HEAL THEIR WOUNDS QUICKLY. I WILL MAKE THEM SPAGHETTI TO REALLY HEAL THE WOUND."
Papyrus left the room and Sans approached you. "Ay, you're alive! Here." He took a hotdog out of his pocket. "Eat this. It'll heal ya."
You didn't want to eat a hotdog that was in someone's pocket but you needed something, and if it could heal you, you were willing to try. You ate it and to your surprise, it actually tasted pretty good. You watched your arm closely as your wound magically healed. "Thanks, Sans"
"No prob. Well, he'll be in the kitchen for most of the day so, we can do whatever."
"Sans, I don't feel safe out there."
"That's fine. We can stay here. It is dangerous for a human."
Sans turned on the T.V. to a show called Cooking With A Killer Robot and the show was exactly that. A killer robot was cooking various dishes with ingredients ranging from severed fingers and toes, all the way to full living monsters. It scared you, but for some reason, sitting beside Sans made you feel safe.
Sans slowly fell asleep, leaning on your shoulder. You couldn't help but smile and soon, you fell asleep as well. Even if it was only for a while, you felt safe and you wanted to take full advantage.
