"Pangaean? Are you kidding? What does that even mean?" August asks.
"It's basically Underground, I was born underground." I answer.
"So you were born in the mantle?" He asks.
I shake my head. "The Earth is hollow, the only thing inside the Earth are the Pangaeans and the core."
"Then where'd you get your accent?" He asks.
"English isn't my first language." I try to explain. "I spoke Pangaean."
"Wow." He says. "Sorry, I'm interrupting."
I nod. "Well, I was born in Pangaea with my twin, and because we were twins we couldn't do the Oura konnes. which means moving rocks with your mind. I was the brains she was the strong one; which means I am the kointa eres, which basically means birthing twin, I was destined to breed with some guy, and have a few kids and settle down then eventually kill my husband, don't ask, it's traditional for the father to not be there for his children growing up. I was born to my mother who later killed my father. Me and my twin grew up together, becoming best friends along the way. We even planned what my children were gonna look like. Until she fell in love with working on her muscles, which is weird because female Pangaeans can't build too much muscle, and I started learning motherly ways, but then I decided that Pangaea wasn't for me so I did the forbidden thing and started believing in the over-ground. Which resulted in me getting banished, but here I am!" I say smiling.
"What was your twin's name?" He asks.
"Maverick, I never talk about her, she kinda makes me a little sad, I miss her a lot." I say, looking at my discarded Chinese box.
"You have me, for all that's worth." He says, grabbing my hand.
"It's worth a lot, and I thank you for being here." I say, pushing myself up off the ground.
"What are you doing?" He asks.
I smile. "I was gonna walk off my food, you can join me."
He pushes himself up. "I would love too."
Atlas bounds over and makes himself comfortable on the blanket, giving a small yap before dozing off.

Halfway down the beach we took a break, laying in the sand and taking in the grey clouds.
"It's definately gonna rain." August says.
"Yep." I say, closing my eyes.
It wasn't long until a drop of water lands on my nose, basically forcing my eyes open.
I sit up and another drop hits me on the head.
Soon enough it was pouring, soaking August and I within a minute.
August and I got up laughing.
"What do we do?" I ask.
August shrugs. "We can't do much."
"Let's dance!" I suggest.
"E, this isn't 'The Notebook.'" August laughs.
"But, Auggie please!" I plead, opening my arms.
"Fine, but don't expect me to lift you over my head, we'll both fall and get injured." He says.
I smile, throwing my arms over his shoulder. "Thank you, Aug."
"I mean, I couldn't turn you down, that'd be quite rude." He says, in a fake posh accent, then resting his hands on my waist.
Then we're swaying, his eyes looking into mine, his hair now flat because of the rain.
Sure, there wasn't music and we were both wet and messes, but it made it all the more special., and in some way, scary.
"I bet you can't catch me." I whisper, ripping away from August and running.
"E!" He yells after me.
"Catch me!" I yell, looking over my shoulder.
He pushes his hair back and starts after me.
I face forward, and keep running, well until I felt August grab my hand.
"Gotcha!" He says, spinning me around so I was facing him.
"I was not expecting that." I say, smiling.
"Well, I wasn't expecting you to take off running." He fires back, also smiling.
"I guess you could say I'm unpredictable." I say.
"Whatever." He says, pushing back his hair again.
And suddenly I could feel my heart hammering against my ribs, my cheeks heating up again. "Kiss me." I say, kind of surprising myself.
He blinks, obviously surprised.
Then we were kissing, his hands on my waist, my arms on his shoulders, much like were dancing earlier.
He pulls away first, and almost like it was planned, a loud boom of thunder appears, followed by lightning.
"I guess that's a sign we should leave." I say.
He nods. "Yeah."

We stop at my apartment complex, he opens my door, and tells Atlas he would be right back.
Atlas yips.
I get out, and close the door, smiling shyly at August.
He grabs my hand, leading me inside.
We stop in front of my door.
"Thanks for today." I say, looking at my feet.
August lifts my head with his finger, kissing me shortly. "Thanks for inviting me."
"It wouldn't have been as special without you." I say.
"call me in the morning, we'll get coffee or something." He says.
I nod. "Will do."
"Talk to you then." He says, stepping away.
"Bye." I say, giving a small wave.
"Goodbye." He says, walking off.
I turn and open the door, it was unlocked, weird. I brush it off and walk in.
"Estelle Zaveri." A voice says.
I turn and see Jameson and the other guy. "What the..."
"I knew it was you from the second I set eyes on you." Jameson says.
"Leave me alone." I threaten.
The other guy laughs manically. "You're taller than I thought would be, you should be itty bitty."
"You don't have to be nice Charles, she ruined science." Jameson says.
"It's not my fault." I say, pressing my back to the door.
Jameson laughs. "You look so scared." He smirks. "You should be."
"Get 'er." Charles says.
4 guys dressed in black emerge from the kitchen.
I get out my phone, speed-dialing Nigel.
"Hello?"
"Help!" I scream.
Nigel seems confused. "Huh?"
"They're here." I say, taking off towards the bedroom.
Nigel yawns. "Who is?"
"The government!" I yell.
"I'll be there in 5." Then he hung up.
I push the door closed, which immediately after flings open, and I black out in fear, once again.
