"Good morning church, today I just have one scripture. 1 Corinthians 10:21 which says "Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord's table, and of the table of devils. Today my message is for the Single and unmarried." The pastor said as he looked around the church.
"Single Christians always ask pastors and themselves if they are ready for marriage yet, so today my topic is "Am I Ready Yet" . Most of the time the answer to that question is NO, but I tell them that until they are ready for marriage, they shouldn't even be dating. How do I know if I am ready for marriage? You may ask your self. Most of us feel prepared, believing that being married will solve the problems of living in a broken and dysfunctional home. We have visions of a loving husband or wife who would care for us, love us, and save us from it all. The fact that we want it to happen must certainly be enough to make it work. Right? Unfortunately, however, the person whom we may have set our eyes on does not feel the same way about marriage; and they eventually go another way with someone else. We are devastated, of course, but learned that just wanting it to be didn't always make it so. God has only one person for you and you are not supposed to be testing each one until you find the right one. You are supposed to wait on God to bring you that man or woman. And if you are truly seeking Him on this one, you will know when the time comes. Ask your self these questions.Are you being the best you that you could be in every area of your life? God caused Adam to fall asleep at Eve's creation and it was only after she was complete that God stirred Adam awake and brought the two together. Both Adam and Eve were worked on and formed by God and were complete when they met. Will you be able to give up your career now if God tells you to do so? What if you lose your house that you have worked so hard for? What if God tests you financially and you lose your job? What if God kicks you out of being a ministry leader just to prove to Himself if you will surrender to Him or not? If you can't even fathom these thoughts and can't even say that you will surrender to God when it happens, then you are not fully surrendered to Him and are not ready for marriage. " There were a course of Amens that filledthe church house.

"Do you know how to cook? Do you know how to keep your house clean? Do you know how to give back rubs? Do you know how to take care of children? These are things that you have to prepare for before you even get married." The paster said wipping his face with a towel.

"Do you know how to love yourself? You need to learn to love yourself before you can ever give your love to another person. You need to learn how to receive love before you can get married and try loving someone else. You should learn to deal with insecurities so that they will not affect you relationship, maybe even share them with your partner. Often we find ourselves dealing with those insecurities that manifest themselves in our actions and speech. Please don't get me wrong, we aren't always feeling worthless and like there is no hope. God has started the healing process in us. We know that God is still working His refining fire in us." Again the was a course of 'Amen pastor' that filled the room along with clapping.

"Do you have any baggage? You shouldn't take old baggage into a relationship. You should be able to give the very best of yourself to your husband or wife and not bring insecurities to him or her. Your focus should be on loving him or her in the best way and healthiest way that you can." After he said that I smiled at Kerstin and squeezed her hand lightly.

"So imagine if you are not even thinking of marriage but you are already dating. What is that for? Of course we know that the world calls it a "need to be with somebody". It is trying to be intimate with someone without the commitment of marriage. Do you know who is like that? The devil! Satan is someone who always wants intimacy without commitment. Even if you are planning to get married next month, you are still not married until you make that vow before God and seal your commitment through the covenant you make in marriage. Only then are you allowed by God to be physically intimate with each other and consummate the marriage through the act. Any violation of this instruction from the Lord will ruin whatever relationship you have, no matter how beautiful it may seem. Until you get this, you are not ready for marriage. Until you learn to be celibate, you are not ready for marriage. Until you understand that your body belongs to the Lord and should not be shared with anyone except your future spouse and only after you are married, then you are not ready to be married. If you have not been unattached and celibate for at least a year, I don't think you are ready for marriage. Marriage is all about giving, serving, and sacrificing. It is not about getting what you need and want, but giving what your spouse needs and wants. It is about serving God. It is about being obedient to His Word. So if you can't be obedient to God when you are single, what makes you think that you can be obedient to Him when you are married? When you get married, you surrender yourself to God as to what He expects from you as a wife. You also surrender yourself to your husband and subordinate yourself to him. So until you are ready to surrender everything to Jesus at this point, you are not ready for marriage.
You know that there are still several areas that God needs to work on in your life. I want you to bear in mind that marriage is not just the joining of a man and a woman. It is the replica of God's relationship with His church. Everything you will do in marriage will make you draw closer or move away from this great plan of God. It can prepare you to be Jesus' future bride/ groom, or it can disqualify you. That's all I have for today church I hope I help clear that up for some of you single folks." The paster finished before taking his seat.

All through out church I felt like the pastor was stepping all on my toes. It made me rethink some things. After a wonderful church service we were walking out the church headed to the car when I saw Sage and Makenzie.

"There go Kenzie baby." I said to Kerstin.
"Where?" She asked looking around.
"Come on let's go see our friends." I said grabbing her hand.
"Hey guys lets do lunch." Kenzie said soon as she saw us.
"Sure," we said at the same time.
Dappin it up with Sage we headed to the car after picking a nice restaurant for brunch.

Brunch was very nice and relaxing we had a very great time with our friends. We stoped at Kerstin's house and she changed clothes and we went to my house and watched a movie on Netflix and took a nap. Now we are headed to my parents house because my mom decided it would be nice to have a dinner with the family. Kerstin was fine with it but I could tell she was nervous about my family but dad. I hadn't told her anything else about my dad since our date night. I placed my hand over her knee giving it a soft squeeze and told her to relax.
"He will love you baby trust me." I said with a smirk.

Pulling into to the rock road I headed down the path that lead to our family ranch. I could see the big red barn getting bigger as we got closer to the house.
"Chance this is beautiful," Kerstin said once I pulled into the front yard.
"Thanks baby, be sure to tell mom she tries." I told her as I helped her out the truck. We walked up to the front door which was already unlocked and went in.
"Mom, Dad where are you guys?" I yelled out.
"Boy stop yellin in my house." My dad deep southern voice rang out though the house. Country bumpkin, I thought when my mom said they were in the kitchen. Walk it in to the kitchen I saw my dad posted up on the kitchen counter munching on an apple, at the same time I heard Kerstin take in a deep breath and I saw her jaws drop. Now she sees for her self that my dad is...

Kerstin POV

His dad is white! I mean not that it matters but he could have gave me a heads up! Got me standing here with my mouth open like a fish out of water. Not only was his dad white he was fine as hell! Go ahead Mrs. Rogers! He was standing the leaned against the counter with his cowboy hat low on his head eating an apple while he watched his wife cook.
Looking up at Chance I gave him the evil eye which caused his dad to laugh and speak.
"He didn't tell you I was white did he?" Which caused me to turn cherry red as I shook my head no while Chance just laughed.
"I wanted to share the shock with you dad I knew it would be great. Ker makes the best facial expressions. Dad Kerstin, baby my dad Travon." He said pulling me into his arms, giving me a bone crushing hug while his dad and him laughed while I turned every shade of red possible.
"Leave the poor girl alone Travon and Javon! Yall got her red from head to toe. Get out my kitchen," she fused at them playfully.
"Oh whatever Sophia," Mr. Rogers said walking over to his wife he placed his hands on her hips and whispered something in her ear making her turn red. Father like son! Just freaky!
"Eww dad stop my eyes." Chance said pulling out a stool sitting before pulling me in between his legs.
"Boy this my house you can leave," his dad said kissing his wife's neck which caused me to giggle. I like his dad, he is funny.
"Eww dad stop. Momma you need to control that man." I heard Carters voice say.
"Lavon I try but it's hard," his mom said smirking up at her husband it was very obvious that what she said meant something else totally different.
"Sure you do you nasties! Hey Ker and CJ." Carter said.
"Hey bro what's good." Chance said.
"Hello Carter." I said.
"Where is Brina and Josh?" Chance asked.
Not even five seconds later a tall handsome white guy and beautiful mixed girl walking in hand in hand. This must be who he asked about. Stopping in her tracks she looked at me then at Chance before a kool-aid smile appeared on her face.
"Hello daddy's girl," Mr.Rogers said looking up at her.
"Hello daddy and everyone else." She said loudly walking around giving everyone a hug. When she got to us she pushed Chance arm off of me and pulled me into a hug and whispered in my ear "I'm glad he has you with his lonely ass!" Laughing I nodded
"I'm Kerstin by the way," I said stepping out of the hug.
"Wait the designer lady?" She said with an oh my goodness expression on her face before she pulled me into another hug and talked about how much she loved my work. After thanking her Chance just had to butt in.
"Give her back Brina!" Chance said pulling me back against his chest and kissing my hair.
"See he already thinks I'm gone try to steal you," she giggled before adding "maybe later, let's eat."
"Do you need help?" I asked Sophia after the guys left the kitchen and everyone had made introductions.
We were putting the finishing touches on dinner when my phone went off. Walking over to my bag I reached down in to it and got my iPhone 6 plus.
"Yes ma'am mother?... Ahh uhh... Yes ma'am I know. Okay that's fine tell father hi for me please. Yes ma'am. I'll think about it mother. Yes ma'am okay. Ummm hmmm bye bye mother I got it. I love you too." After I ended the call I just shook my head. That woman will be the death of me one day I thought.
"Is everything okay dear?" I heard Sophia ask. Oh crap I forgot about Sophia and Sabrina.
"Yes ma'am, just my mother bothering me is all." I said smiling while I finished setting the table.
After setting the table we placed all the food on the table just as the guys walked in. We end up making barbecued baby back ribs, grilled cabbage, home-made macaroni and cheese, banana pudding and home-made lemonade for dinner since Sophia had only made the ribs due to the fact she had church this morning.
"Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for the meat that has been prepared and let it be of nourishment to our bodies. Thank you Lord for letting us as family and friends be able to gather one more time. In Jesus name we pray. Amen." Travon prayed.
"Let's eat you gals got this food smelling and looking really good." Carter said as he dug in; while we all just laughed
"So boys how's business?" Tarvon asked.
"It's really good, Kerstin's house is our biggest project right now. We finished the other on four months ago." Carter said while wiping his face with a napkin.
"Yeah what he said and I got a call from a few company's Friday that want to expand." Chance added after he finished chewing his food.
"That's good boys keep making me proud. What do you do Kerstin?" Travon said.
"I am the owner and CEO of AWT. Which is basically a design company. At AWT we do all types of design from interior, graphic and exterior design and there's a fashion line." I said proudly.
"But that's a worldwide company. Damn girl your mighty young to have all that going on. Good job Kerstin. Chance you picked a good one son just don't fuck it up." Travon said smiling proudly at me causing me to blush. I'm telling you if Chance dad wasn't his dad nor was he married I wouldn't mind being with his fine self.
"That's really good Kerstin!" Sophia said super happy, while the others complimented me as well.
"Thanks you guys."
"Josh and Brina what about you guys how's the life of being Doctors?" Travon asked the happy couple.
"You guys are doctors?" I asked excitedly before anyone else spoke. Which caused everyone to laugh.
"Yeah we are we met in school and we decided to get married it was hard at first but now we work together and it's amazing saving lives and helping create lives." They both said together finishing each other's sentences. Aww damn that just so cute. Maybe I could be like that with someone one day.

Dinner was great I felt as if I fit right in with The Roger family. I found out that Sabrina is the second oldest and was twenty-seven years old and has been married for five years now. And Carter is the youngest of the three and is only twenty-three.
Chance decided to take me on a tour of the ranch after we ate, so we were walking up the path that lead to the rest of the property. Sipping my hand into his I followed behind him quietly and just looked at the beautiful design of his parents home.

"Did you build this?" I asked him after about fifteen minutes of us walking around.
"Yeah most of it. I redid the house first when they decided to move back here." He said as he stopped at a place that held golf carts.
"Thanks," I said after he helped me into the kart then getting in himself.
"No problem baby." He said sliding his hand on my knee.
"Hey hey stop none of that we are at your parents place!" But of course that didn't stop his nasty butt. After parking the golf cart behind a few barns and trees we were hidden. Chance pulled me into his lap and quickly undid his pants pushing the down over his knees, before he pulled my thong to the side and quickly thrust into me hard causing me to almost draw blood from biting my lip. Gee no foreplay? After our quickie we finished our tour and then headed back up to the house, were Chance took me around showing me the place. I must say he is a really talented man in all skills.

We were in the den preparing to watch some Television when I looked up and so this gorgeous photo above the fireplace of Travon and Sophia, when the were younger. I mean like really teens young.
"That's their prom photo." Sabrina said when she noticed what I was looking at.
"Wow," was the only thing that came out of my mouth.
After all the guys and Sophia came in the room we all sat down but Brina and Josh stood up.
"We have an announcement." Josh said smiling down at his wife.
"You better not have gotten my baby girl pregnant!" Travon said trying to stand up, but Sophia wouldn't get out of his lap. Sabrina turned bright red and hid in Josh's chest.
"We are having a baby. Thanks dad for taking the joy out of it." Josh said shaking his head.
"That's wonderful you guys!" Sophia said jumping off her husbands lap running to Sabrina.
"I knew your figure was looking a little bit fuller! And you ate that pudding and you hate pudding!" Sophia said placing her hands on Brian's small belly after she pulled off her hoodie. I was wondering why she had it on while we were cooking. After we all congratulated the couple we all sat down and watched a few movies. Everyone was all coupled up except Carter who wasn't paying attention matter a fact he was fast asleep on the other side of his parents close to his mom. Yup I think he is a mommas boy. Snuggling closer to Chance I followed Carters lead and dozed off to sleep.
