You, Ulaz and your kids had been back home for a month now and today Ulaz was going to teach your kids how to hunt for food. Ulaz had told you that Galra teach their kits to hunt once they're old enough and since your kids had his senses and abilities you allowed him to give your kids hunting lessons. It was now late autumn and the animals would be out looking for food.

"Now, do any of you smell anything or see any tracks?" Ulaz asked your kids once they were out in the field.

"Here are some rabbit tracks, and they smell fresh." Kocho said as she bent down to have a better look.

"It looks like it headed in this direction." Laz said as he looked at the tracks.

"Anything else?" Ulaz asked.

"Well, it looks like the rabbit wasn't in a hurry, so maybe there's a warren nearby." Mur said.

"Yes, very good, but we must sneak up on it so that it won't hear us coming." Ulaz said as they began quietly walking.

As Ulaz and your kids walked through the field they soon found the warren hidden behind some weeds. Ulaz and your kids got down on the ground when they saw the rabbit.

"Alright, Kocho, get into position, and when it gets closer, pounce." Ulaz whispered.

Kocho felt her heart beat faster as the rabbit came closer as it sniffed the air. Once it was close enough she pounced on it. The rabbit tried to get away but by the time she pounced it was too late.

"I got it!" Kocho said happily as she held the rabbit up.

"You did a very good job Kocho." Ulaz said proudly.

"Does this mean we can have rabbit stew for dinner tonight?" Kocho asked Ulaz curiously.

"Yes, it does." Ulaz told Kocho.

"Yay, rabbit stew is my favorite!" Kocho said as she bounced a little.

"Am I ever gonna catch something?" Mur asked Ulaz.

"Of course you will, you all will, but for now, we need to go back home." Ulaz said as he lead your kids back to the house.

When they got back you were surprised that Kocho had caught a rabbit during the first hunting lesson. That night after Ulaz cleaned the rabbit you made rabbit stew.
