Hours later, Kaylie woke up from her sleep. She was practically in the same position danny was in. Kaylie needed to get back to the survivor campfire but she knew she would be disturbing dannys sleep of she started to move so she stayed still. She hoped that Danny would wake up soon, she didn't want the others to worry about her but she also didn't want to anger Danny. After a few minutes, Danny woke up and made a tired groan.
"Hmm... Im surprised that you didn't run off..." Danny muttered as he curled up closer to Kaylie.
"Umm... to be honest... im surprised I didn't either..." Kaylie said quietly.
"You scared that I would've hurt you?" Danny asked softly.
"... can I not answer that question...?" Kaylie asked.
"So thats a yes." Danny said as he sat up. Kaylie stayed silent. Danny sighed as he stood up.
"Ill be back in an hour. Stay in the building." Danny said before he put on his mask and left. Kaylie felt really bad, she knew she hurt his feelings. Kaylie decided to wander around the building, she had never been in this area before so she wanted to explore. She looked at the photos that littered the place. They were mainly pictured of moris but there were other pictures as well. These photos were just of other survivors outside of trials. They were all put in little categories, dwight, Jeff, meg, ect. They were all put up on the walls but if Danny took pictures of her then they weren't on the walls. This made Kaylie curious, Danny most definitely took pictures of her, the moris of her werent up on the walls either. Kaylie wandered around hoping to find a clue of where her pictures would be. After a while Kaylie gave up, she wasn't gonna find her pictures. She went back to the mattress to see Danny pacing and covered in blood. Danny looked up at Kaylie and spedwalked over and hugged her tightly.
"There you are...!" Danny said, "you didn't leave did you?"
"No, I was just wandering around the building." Kaylie said softly as she returned the hug.
"Good good... did you find anything?" Danny asked. Kaylie shook her head.
"No, not at all." Kaylie said.
"Shame. I hid something for you while you slept. You're a very heavy sleeper, thats very dangerous." Danny said.
"What did you hide?" Kaylie asked.
"Thats for you to find out." Danny said with a smile, "how about you go find it. I'll follow you."
"Alright then." Kaylie said as she started to walk to where she was before she gave up searching.
"Ooo you're getting warm." Danny said as Kaylie approached a room. After a few minutes of warmer and colder danny started chanting hot. Kaylie walked over to a loose board and danny started to practically yell 'red hot' over and over again until Kaylie pulled up the board to find a decently sized box. Kaylie opened the box and cocked her head to the side.
"A camera?" Kaylie asked as she carefully took an old camera out from the box.
"Yep!" Danny said with a large smile. Kaylie looked at the memory.
"And its full?" Kaylie asked.
"Look at the photos." Danny said with a mischievous smile. Kaylie looked at the saved pictures and grimaced.
"Are these... pictures of me sleeping and bathing...?" Kaylie asked as she looked up at Danny, he had a large smile.
"Yes, hope you like the gift of knowing I've watched you for so long." Danny said.
"Thats... thats... disgusting!" Kaylie yelled, "don't you realize how gross and creepy that is?"
"You say this but... you cant deny the fact that its pretty hot." Danny said as he put his hands on kaylies hips.
"Umm... danny? You... you realize I don't like you like that right...?" Kaylie asked sheepishly, she didnt want to hurt his feelings but she needed him to know before this turned serious. Danny stared at her a bit.
"What... what do you mean?" Danny asked, he looked disappointed.
"I like you romantically not... you know... THAT way." Kaylie said as she looked down.
"Oh... I... I'm sorry. I didnt mean to make your uncomfortable..." Danny apologized as he took his hands off of Kaylie.
"Its okay, Danny," kaylie said as she put a hand on Dannys left arm, "no worrys." Danny sighed.
"If you say so, im happy you told me now before I did anything worse."
"I appreciate the gesture though. How long have you had your eyes on me?" Kaylie asked.
"Don't know... not sure how long but I know its been a long time." Danny said shrugging.
"Good to know that someone finds me pretty enough to stalk in this realm." Kaylie said chuckling a bit.
"When you put it that way it sounds like nobody likes you like I do." Danny said.
"Well it seems to be the case." Kaylie said shrugging. Danny frowned.
"But you're absolutely gorgeous! You're funny as well! I doubt you don't have at least one secret admirer, other than myself of course." Danny said as he hugged Kaylie.
"Well its not really a secret now is it." Kaylie said with a smile as she returned the hug.
"True... wanna go walk around to make your secret admirers jealous?" Danny asked with a smile.
"I... umm... maybe...?" Kaylie said sheepishly.
"Ill take that as a yes!" Danny exclaimed as he scooped Kaylie up and started carrying her bridal style.
"H-hey!" Kaylie squeaked as her feet were sweeped off the ground
"Oh wait! Let's first go through the camera and get rid of the bad photos so you can actually use it." Danny said when he walked into his makeshift bedroom/living room. Danny set Kaylie down gently.
"Do you have another memory card? We could just replace this one so you can keep the ones you took." Kaylie said. Danny looked shocked.
"I thought you would want me to delete those." Danny said.
"They are your photos, as long as you don't share these with anyone im fine with you having them." Kaylie said shrugging.
"Wow you're really chill about this." Danny said as he grabbed a spare memory card for Kaylie.
"Should I not be?" Kaylie asked as she replaced the card with the dirty photos with the brand new one. She handed Danny the card.
"Im just not used to people so... calm after something even remotely like this happens..." danny explained as he set the card under the mattress. Kaylie turned the camera on to an empty camera. Danny walked over and looked over her shoulder.
"Ready to go?" Danny asked. Kaylie nodded as Danny put his signature mask down over his face. Afterword, danny picked Kaylie up and started to carry her around. Danny noticed that Kaylie was taking alot of photos of the trees and birds.
"Aww you arent gonna take any pictures of me?" Danny asked pretending to be offended. Kaylie chuckled before she took a picture of danny at a VERY unflattering angle.
"This suffice?" Kaylie asked laughing as she showed Danny the terrible photo of him.
"No! Delete that!" Danny exclaimed as he stopped moving, "i didn't know I had a bad side!"
"Well you don't. Photos don't take the best photos of beautiful sunsets." Kaylie said with a smile as she deleted the photo. Danny laughed.
"Damn that was smooth!" Danny said as he started walking again.
"Thanks, danny." Kaylie said with a smile. After a while of wandering they ended up in the edge of the killers camp.
"Hey, you ever seen the killers campfire before?" Danny asked.
"No, everyone says its way too dangerous to even attempt to be near it." Kaylie said quietly.
"Oh yeah I guess some of us don't care whether we are in trials or not. Well ill keep you safe." Danny said before she walked into the borders of the camp and went towards the fire. Kaylie was scared. She didnt really know what to expect and it wasn't like she was the most welcome. Almost literally anyome else would have a better chance of survival. They got to the campfire to see most of the more peaceful killers chilling out and talking. Wraith, nurse, and spirit were playing cards and Huntress and pig were talking on a log. The nurse looked up from her game to see Danny carrying Kaylie.
"Why do you have a survivor?" The nurse signed out using ASL.
"Uh because I can? Obviously." Danny scoffed. Kaylie looked over to the nurse and gave a little nervous wave. Wraith and spirit looked over and shook their heads. This mustve been a normal occurrence, or they were just used to danny doing dumb things.
"Youre an idiot." The nursed signed out.
"Yeah well I'm an idiot with an adorable nerd in my arms! Beat that. Anyways I just needed to make sure yall knew I was alive. Don't expect me for a couple weeks though." Danny said before he walked away, kaylie still in his arms. They exited the killers camp and started to walk towards the survivors camp. They got pretty close to the camp before Kaylie had him stop.
"The others are pretty skittish when killers are even nearby the border of the camp. Ill be back in a few minutes." Kaylie said before she ran into the camp. After a few minutes Kaylie came back.
"So what happened?" Danny asked.
"Not much, a few hugs, I had to give an explanation on why I was gone so long." Kaylie said.
"What did you tell them?" Danny asked.
"That I took jakes advice and I slept in the forest." Kaylie said chuckling.
"Good excuse. Wanna go back?"
"Hell yeah!" Kaylie exclaimed right before danny scooped her back up. Danny turned to go back before they heard a high pitched scream. They looked behind them to see Meg, Nea, and Laurie freaking out. Before the knew what was going on Danny was blinded by a flashlight and Kaylie was dragged back into the camp. Kaylie struggled against Meg and Laurie while Nea blinded Danny. When kaylie was dragged back to the campfire, she started to yell at Meg and Laurie.
"What the hell guys?" Kaylie yelled as she finally broke free from her allys grasp.
"Uh your welcome?" Meg said as she crossed her arms.
"You're so lucky we went out there to say bye. You could've been killed!" Laurie said.
"Guys... i was purposely going with him." Kaylie groaned, "God he must be so worried, I need to go back." Kaylie started to speedwalk back before Laurie grabbed her arm.
"What do you mean you were going with him purposely? And what do you mean he must be worried? He's a killer! He was obviously going to kill you!"
"Like seriously! You must have Stockholm syndrome or something!" Meg said as she crossed her arms.
"Ha ha very funny, I need to go! I dont care what you say, concidering he didnt kill me last night says something." Kaylie said before she yanked her hand out of Laurie's grasp, she started running back to danny. Of course, meg and Laurie chased after her. She saw Nea still messing with Danny, he looked up to see Kaylie and ignored Nea as Kaylie jumped into his arms.
"Lets go!" Kaylie said quickly as Laurie and Meg approached. Danny nodded and started running with Kaylie in his arms.
"Im sorry! I'll explain everything later!" Kaylie yelled to the girls as danny quickly outpaced them. Soon they arrived back at Dannys hideout. They did lose the girls when they ran off. Danny carried Kaylie back into the place and set her down.
"Im really sorry about them, they assumed you were going to kill me." Kaylie apologized.
"Its alright... you can't control your friends..." Danny said as he sat down and curled up against Kaylie. Kaylie lifted Dannys mask and gave him a kiss on the forehead. Danny looked up at Kaylie with a large smile.
"You DO love me!" Danny exclaimed. Kaylie looked at him for a bit before she finally processed what she did. She quickly covered her face and groaned in embarrassment.
"Aww...! Don't cover your face~!" Danny said as he moved Kaylies hands down so he could see her face.
"B-but...! Ugh..." Kaylie groaned, "alright..." Kaylie looked up at danny with a sheepish smile.
"Now there's that adorable smile." Danny cooed as he returned Kaylies kiss. Kaylie turned bright red and faceplanted gently into Dannys chest. Danny chuckled and gently scratched the back of Kaylies neck. Kaylie smiled and fell to the side so she was laying down. Danny followed suit and now they were cuddling, and ready to chill for hours. After a few minutes of just enjoying each others company, Kaylie needed to ask something of danny.
"Hey danny?" Kaylie asked.
"Yeah Kaylie?" Danny asked.
"I need you to promise me something..." kaylie said.
"What do I need to promise you?" Danny asked.
"That you would never hurt me unless you needed to." Kaylie said as she looked away from Danny.
"Hey... look at me." Danny said as he moved Kaylies face to make her look at him, "i promise that I will never hurt you unless I absolutely have to."
"Thank you..." kaylie whispered as she rested her head on Dannys chest.
"Youre welcome, my dear." Danny said as he started to pet Kaylies head. Soon, kaylie fell asleep.
