Kartik : I know.. I know I'm a fool.. I'm an idiot.. mujhe samjh nahi aaya.. par ismein meri koi zyada galti nahi hai.. isnein galti Dadi ki aur Teri hai.. kyunki mujhe kabhi chize, especially yeh complicated chize samjhne ki zarurat hi nahi padhi.. pahle Dadi ka laad n then tera.. unke jaane ke baad you literally took care of me like a kid.. aunty aur tune unki kami mahsoos hi nahi hone di kabhi.. (he was getting teary)
Maine Tujhe hurt kia hai bahut I know.. (bowing his head a little down) mujhe samjh nahi aaya.. tujhse jo yeh attachment hai yeh sirf dosti ki nahi hai.. there's lot more to it.. (mocking himself) happy late realisation to me indeed..! but yes.. I did realise.. der se hi sahi but now I know, (looking at her eyes) I understood, that I love you.. I love you.. I love you.. I love you Naira.. I love you a lot..

Kartik looked at her with tears in his eyes making Naira teary too.. he was still sitting with that cauliflower in one hand and holding her with the other one..

They both kept looking at each other..

Kartik : Naira!

Naira still looked at him blankly..

Kartik : Naira kuch to bol..

Kartik left her hand upon not getting an answer from her.. he bowed his head down..

Naira looked at him.. kneeled on her knees to match his level..

She lifted his face up..

Naira : Kartik! Tu ro kyun raha hai??

Kartik hugged her.. and Naira hugged him more tightly..

Kartik kept his head on her shoulder and held her waist by both his hands..

They sat down on the floor itself still hugging..

Kartik : Naira I'm sorry.. I know I have been bad to you.. I know right.. main tujhe deserve bhi nahi karta.. but tere bina main nahi jee sakta.. ek pal bhi nahi..

Naira (breaking the hug) : Kisne kaha tujhe jeene ke liye mere bina.. maine kaha Kya kabhi? Nahi na? Woh to tu hi chala gaya tha.. tujhe pata bhi hai ktna hurt hui hu main.. har pal Tujhe kisi aur ke saath dekhti thi.. ghar pe aake roti thi.. (smiling) but tu khush rahta tha na to kuch nahi chahiye hota tha mujhe.. bass yehi soch soch ke..

Kartik : But main khush nahi tha na.. mujhe kabhi samjh hi nahi aaya ki Kya problem thi.. kyun main khush nahi hu.. Tujhe itna miss karta tha..  aur Kunal ke saath Tujhe dekhta tha to main pagal sa ho jaata tha.. pata nahi Kya tha..
(With a brief pause)
Par tujhe aake rokna chahiye tha..

Naira : Par mujhe laga ki har choti badi decision maine inn do saalon mein le liya Tere liye.. par itna bada decision hai to Tujhe tokna nahi chahiye.. Waise bhi main jab aayi tab tu already usse propose Kar Chuka tha.. kaise kahti main kuch..
(Awkward silence)
And you know what's the worst part is.. exactly ussi din ussi time main.. main confess karne vaali thi that I love you.. I loved you since we ever got into this beautiful friendship but I wasn't sure at first.. lekin phir jab realise kia to darne lag gayi agar iski vajah se friendship hi tut gayi to.. tour ke vakt Kunal ke saath rahti thi.. and I missed you like hell.. I decided the day I land I would ask you out.. guess what tujhe dhundte dhundte mujhe tu Natasha ko propose karte huye mil Gaya..

Kartik (looking at her shockingly) : Matlab you knew?! Mere bolne se pahle hi? Like I asked you in the canteen?? Usse pahle hi you knew?

Naira nodded her head in a yes..

Kartik suddenly started sobbing there like a kid..

Naira : Kartik! Kya ho gaa??

Kartik : Kitna hurt kia hai yaar maine Tujhe.. You know what I don't deserve you! (Naira was frowning at him) No.. no no I don't deserve a gem of a person like you.. you will get someone lot better than me! I'm just a- I'm just..

Naira placed her lips on his cutting his words.. Kartik got puzzled at that sudden action.. Naira closed her eyes and continued kissing him..

After few seconds Naira withdrew her lips.. Kartik was still looking at her with his widened eyes..

Naira : Abb samjh aaya ki you deserve me or not! You are an idiot.. bygod aisa proposal.. jismein cauliflower hai! Rona-dhona hai!

Kartik : Aur kiss bhi..

Naira (blushing) : Hmm.. to abb??

Kartik (cluelessly) : Ab Kya?

Naira (frowning) : You know what.. chod tu chod! Yeh cauliflower tu mujhe de!

She took the cauliflower and sat on her knees..

Naira : Kartik ! I love you.. I really love you! Do you love me too?? Will you be my boyfriend??

Kartik (Smiling) : Yes!

Naira (getting up) : Finally! Finally! Iss Kartik ko samjh aa gaya..

She jumped like a kid hugging Kartik tightly.. Kartik too engulfed her in his arms..

Kartik : Waise propose to Maine bhi kia.. tune haan bola hi kaha..

Naira : Haan Haan Haan.. Hann Haan Haan Haan yes yes yes yes.. bol aur kitni baar sunega..

Kartik : Roz! Suneyegi..?

Naira : Sunaungi..! Roz sunaungi..

Kartik : Hmm.. waise yeh cauliflower ko hum cook karke khaa le.. celebrate karne ke liye??

Naira : Nahi.. yeh to hum apne pass rakhenge.. show case mein.. sabko pata bhi to chale humne ek dusre ko kaise propose kia!

He gave her a 'you are unbelievable' look and she shrugged her shoulders proudly.. and they bursted out laughing together..
