Twisted Dimensions is my submission for the 2024 Haunted Vault Challenge. 

I chose the following path to both start and end my story: Each leaf of a tree and sapling has dark energies here. A place which has succumbed to evil forces and mysteries. Every ounce of this forest unveils a new adventure, horror, and thrill, like a newer ending maze.

And

Chose the Challenge Corner's Prompt where my characters entered a Crazy Mirror Maze laughing at the funny reflections of themselves. The short fat one, the tall skinny one. Then the next one, they look boringly normal ... until the Grim Reaper appears just behind their right shoulder. 

There is also a children's game I included here called Mother, May I . It is a game where players take turns asking permission to move towards a designated "mother"

The "mother" tells a player to move in a certain way, such as "take 10 baby steps". The player must ask "Mother, May I?" before moving. If they don't ask, they must return to the start. The first player to reach the "mother" wins.

In my story, the main "Mother" figure is Mother Nature as her weather disasters aren't completely fabricated. As we see the force of weather patterns everyday from snow, rain, tornadoes and so forth, Death turned her into a puppet, where he took his victims to the netherworld and gave their souls away.

Now, remember to always listen to your mother, for she has her eye on you!
