Three

Having trouble which way I want this story to go! I wanted to try and do a love triangle with Leah and Rosalie but I think I'll keep it platonic between Leah and Katherine, they're better as friends then lovers I think.

"Run Bella!" They made it half way across the ballet studio before James stood in front of Bella. Katherine gasped in horror as he grabbed a fist full of her hair yanking her to the side. He pushed her and she watched as Bella slid cracking her head open on the corner of a pillar. Katherine's eyes were nearly bulging out as James grabbed her by the throat. Katherine kicked and clawed at his porcelain skin. She saw black dots cloud her vision before she felt like she was flying.

She let out a scream at the sudden impact onto a standing mirror, the glass shattering on impact. Her head smacked the ground, she laid there paralyzed.

Katherine's eyes snapped open at the sound of Bella's screams.

"Bella." She uttered. Her sister was writhing in pain. She was bit.

No.

Katherine shot up clutching her throat, her eyes wide. She nearly let out a scream at the sight of Rosalie sitting at her desk.

"Jesus Christ!" She kicked back before settling down. "Rose what the hell?" Her face flushed once she realized she was wearing no bottoms.

Rosalie drew a blank when thinking of a valid excuse. Victoria's back trying to kill you and your sister? No, she couldnt tell her that, that was the last thing she needed to worry about.
She had asked Edward what's been on Katherine's mind. At first he refused to tell her to but after some poking and prodding he relented. And to say she was worried was an understatement. She knew about the lack of sleep mixed with all of the different emotions she was feeling and it killed her that she couldn't bring any relief to her.

Rosalie wanted to make amends. She wanted her back but knew nothing would come of it. One of the things that made Rosalie fall for her was her brain, her attitude, resiliency, even when Katherine didn't see it.

"Just checking up on you."

"If you were just checking up on me why are you sitting all cozy at my desk?" Rosalie smiled sheepishly, getting up.

"I'm sorry, truly. I just...things have changed."

"What do you mean?" Katherine wanted to curl back into her bed to sleep but funnily enough she also wanted Rosalie to stay.

Back to square one. Rosalie swore silently to herself before moving towards the open window.

"Wait." Katherine reluctantly held herself back, letting Rosalie go. She couldn't fall back to sleep after that.

She wished she'd stay, but her mind always looped back to feeling betrayed and abandoned. She was as stubborn as her father and she takes pride in that. Everything happened for a reason, she needed to believe it, to make her stronger, even when she felt the opposite.

But underneath it all there was this sinking feeling that something bad was going to happen as if there wasn't enough going on right now. She shut her eyes and tried looking back at the good times to soothe herself into a light sleep.

Since her car was in the shop Katherine had no choice but to ride with Bella and Edward. The ride was silent and awkward, Katherine had earbuds in to make it more bearable, at least then she had an excuse why she wasn't talking. The ride felt longer than usual but that was probably because she wasn't the one driving.

Once they pulled up into the schools parking lot, Katherine didn't wait to get out. Things were still tense between, Katherine didn't agree with Bella's decision to turn into a vampire after graduation which was coming up very soon. She wasn't prepared to lie about what happens to her or to lose her sister.

Walking the halls of Forks she wasn't expecting to run into Kelly whose been avoiding her since their last conversation last year.

"Sorry." They both said simultaneously. Kelly blushed from embarrassment brushing a loose strand of blonde hair that fell from her messy bun.

"Excuse me." Katherine moved passed her walking further down the hall to first period. She wasn't in the mood to rehash old wounds or make amends, atleast not with her. She just wanted to graduate and move off to college already, her acceptance letters should be coming any day now. But at the end of the day she was dreading graduation because once again that just meant she was losing her sister to Edweirdo and his family of vampires. She thought she was being selfish because she was leaving all her friends and family behind for a new one. Maybe she'd be in the same boat if she were still with Rosalie but what would her life be like if they had stayed together?

Katherine would still grow old unless she decided to turn but she would still be losing people either way no matter the choices she made.

The tightness in her chest grew strong with each step. The bell rang but Katherine made a detour to the girls bathroom where she stayed until she could breathe again.
