"The battle station is heavily shielded, and carries a fire power of an entire star fleet. It's defenses are directed around a large scale assault. But a small, one man fighter should be able to penetrate the outer defense." The director, who analyzed the plans and is also known by the name Dodonna tells.
Anakin raised his eyes at the plan. This was a (Y/N) plan alright. Secure, thorough, and powerful. In some twisted way, he was actually proud of her. He was disgusted with what way she used her power, but he had never seen her so focused and determined. Anakin was very confused that a one man fighter could destroy all she worked for. When he heard a one man fighter, he glanced toward his pilot, Han. But Han was already ready to dismiss such a title.
"Pardon me for asking, sir, but what good are snub fighters going to be against that?" A pilot, which Anakin learned was titled Gold Leader, next to Leia asked.
"The Empire doesn't consider a small, one man fighter to be any threat. Or they'd have a tighter defense." Dodonna changed the screen to show where the exhaust port was, "The analysis of the plans, provided by Princess Leah,-"
It's Leia. Anakin rolled his eyes.
"has demonstrated a weakness in the battle station. The approach to it will not be easy. You'll be required to maneuver straight down this trench, skimming the surface, to this point." Dodonna paused the graphic, showing the exhaust port. "This is your target, it's only 2 meters wide. It's a small, thermal exhaust port. Right below the main port."
Everyone's eyes widened. They knew the target to the weakness of this plan would be small, but that small? And for one man? They must be insane.
"The shaft leads directly to the reactor system. A precise hit will start a chain reaction, which should destroy the station." Dodonna showed the graphic of the shot firing into the Death Star and creating an explosion, "Only a precise hit will set up a chain reaction. The shaft is ray shielded, so you'll have to use proton torpedoes."
Anakin stood behind his son, he looked down at him in his seat every once and a while. Luke was paying avid attention to detail and precision. Anakin could tell, he was meant to be a fighter.
"That's impossible, even for a computer." The man sitting next to Luke complained. Earlier Anakin was introduced to him, Wedge Antilles. Luke only smiled.
"But it's not impossible, I used to bulls-eye womp rats in my T-16 back home and they're not much larger than 2 meters." Luke shared. Anakin smiled, this would be Luke's task.
"Man your ships! And may the force be with you." The man said, Anakin felt at ease. It was a long time since he heard that going into battle. It calmed him.

"The rebel base will be in range in 30 minutes." The over looming voice boomed in the control room.
"This will be a day long remembered." Majka smiled, the homing beacon worked. She could finish her past, and the rebellion in one swift move. "We have seen the end of Kenobi, and will soon see the end of the rebellion."
"And Skywalker." Tarkin nodded to Majka. At first she was silent to Tarkin's comment. "Does that bother you, Majka?"
"The name Skywalker means nothing to me anymore." Majka spat at him. How dare he suggest that it does.
"Are you sure? Is that why he's still alive? Even after the Jedi Purge, you somehow managed to let the one Jedi who has a chance of destroying us alive by accident?" Tarkin whisper shouted at her.
"I killed thousands of Jedi that day. And hundreds since. I lost my left limbs trying to kill him. If you think I didn't try to destroy him, I did. I was told he burned alive." Majka guided Tarkin out of the room, "If I was told he was alive all those years ago, I would've gone after him."
"I hope this has nothing to do with the emotions you once held for the man." Tarkin scolded Majka. "You must know Anakin Skywalker, if you two were as close as rumored, you must've felt he was alive. It seems suspicious that someone so powerful could've gone unnoticed all these years. Sometimes I wonder what he saw in you, he was a great general." She didn't know how he knew, it must've been The Emperor, he must've told Tarkin. The more she found out, the more she wanted The Emperor dead.
"How did you know that?" Majka squinted her eyes.
"That's none of your busine-" Tarkin began. But Majka couldn't help but think Tarkin must forget how powerful she was. She picked up Tarkin by the throat and held him up on the wall with her Force.
"I think you forget that I have ways of getting the information I need. I like you, Tarkin. I do. But not even you are allowed to discredit my work the way you just have. Anakin was an excellent general, but so am I. After we blow up this planet, after we destroy the rebellion and him. You can never bring up his name ever again, or I will see to it that you never utter another word." Majka spoke directly into the mans ear. She held him there one more moment, she never noticed how puny he really was. She released him and he collapsed onto the floor.
"I hope I've made myself clear."

Luke walked with his droids through the large hangar. Around him flight crews rushed to tend to the X-Wings before the assault began. There was a booming voice telling the hangar to "man your stations." Luke felt at ease, this was all he ever wanted right here in front of him. The action, the adventure, the opportunity, his boyish excitement was hard to conceal.
Anakin was discussing tactics with the Gold & Red Leaders. Anakin was honored by how much they took into consideration his ideas and input. They already knew everything on General Skywalker from the Clone Wars. They actually wanted Anakin to lead the attack on the exhaust. But Anakin realized his time in the spotlight was over. His only mission is to balance the Force, and although destroying the Death Star is a giant help to the Rebellion, if his wife and the Emperor are not brought from power. He advised that Luke take on that challenge, he could do it.
Luke, now in his pilot uniform, searched for his designated X-Wing when he came across his old friend Han and Chewie packing up their boxes of reward.
"So... you just got your reward and you're leaving then?" Luke prodded from below the ship. He couldn't believe someone could walk away from receiving so much purpose with the Rebellion.
"That's right, kid." Han said, intentionally avoiding eye contact and the rest of the hangar, "I got some old debts I need to pay off with this. Even if I didn't what makes you think I'd be stupid enough to stick around here?" Han ignored it. He liked his smuggling life, he liked being unnoticed and this was not a place he could go unnoticed.
"Why don't you come with us? You're good in a fight, I could use you." Han offered to Luke. He found the kid amusing, he really liked him. As much as he played off that he annoyed him Luke had become almost like a little brother.
"Oh come on! Why don't you take a look around? You know what's about to happen, what they're up against. They could use a good pilot like you and you're turning your backs on them." Luke, although flattered by the offer, could not wrap his head around leaving a cause as great as this one.
"What good is a reward if you ain't around to use it? Besides, attacking that battle station isn't my idea of courage." Han said, "That mission is more like suicide."
"Fine then. Take care of yourself, Han. I guess that's what your best at, isn't it?" Luke shrugged off the conversation and leaving him behind.
"Hey, Luke!" Han finds himself standing after a moment, deep down he wishes he could fight. He just can't get himself to, this kid is a brave one. Luke turns around to see Han, "May the force be with you."
Luke doesn't say anything back but gives him a small wave. Their parting would not be for long, it just couldn't be. Both Han and Luke knew that their relationship was stronger than any acquaintance. That parting sentence proves just that.
"What're you lookin' at?" Han looked at Chewie who growled at him, "I know what I'm doing."
