Luke brought blankets in for the Anakin and Leia who sat on opposite sides of a table. Luke wasn't as close to Obi-Wan as either of them had. Obi-Wan practically raised Leia, and Anakin. He was everything to them.
"I can't believe he's gone." Anakin sat in mourning. He felt the absence of his presence in him. He felt the hole grow wider. Leia shrugged her blanket off her shoulders.
"There wasn't anything we could've done." Leia admitted, folding the blanket back. Holding onto her emotions. She struggled the same way that (Y/N) once struggled, she had to make sure no one knew that she was effected. That she was stronger than any man so she could seem as an equal. Anakin recognized the look she gave, it was the same one he saw so many times in (Y/N) that he never did anything about. He would do something about it now.
"Leia, you can still be strong and show your emotions." Anakin told her, he reached for her hand to show a fatherly love but she pulled it away. She didn't have a father anymore. Getting up from her self pity.
"Come on, buddy. This isn't over yet." Han ran in, gesturing to the cannons. Han and Luke ran for them. Anakin and Leia ran to the cockpit.
"Can you fly this piece of junk?" Leia asked. Anakin smiled:
"I can fly anything." He clapped a hand on Chewies back joining him at the pilot seat.
"Keep sharp, kid." Han said to Luke over the comlink.
"Here they come!" Leia kept the boys eyes in the front.
They shot a few TIE fighters, but it became much harder. Anakin did his best to keep the hunk of junk afloat and out of harms way, but a few blasts did hit the ship.
"You better not hurt my baby!" Han threatened.
"It's getting real difficult, maybe you should fire back at them!" Anakin said.
"They're moving too fast!" Luke complained.
"Focus, Luke." Anakin responded calmly.
Han then cheered as if he hit something, only soon to be followed by the same cheer from Luke. Anakin smiled at his sons glory.
"I got him!" Luke cheered.
"Great, kid! Don't get cocky." Han told him.
"There's still two more of them out there!" Leia cut in to their fun. It brought back the seriousness of the moment. The two cannons went back to firing and Anakin continued dodging.
"We did it!" They heard over the commlink. Han had hit the last one finally.
"We did it!" Leia stood up, and hugged Anakin. The embrace bringing warmth to both of their hearts. She then hugged the Wookie, or once to her: a walking carpet.

"They're leaving?" Tarkin watched once Majka joined him.
"They just made they're jump into hyperspace." She responded calmer than ever. Once they left her heightened emotions were silenced.
"You're sure the homing beacon is secure aboard their ship?" Tarkin rose an eye, uncomfortable with Majka's methods, "I'm taking an awful risk, Majka. This better work."
~
"Quite a rescue, huh?" Han sat in the chair next to Leia, "You know, sometimes I amaze even myself?"
"That doesn't sound too hard." Leia pursed her lips, "They let us go. It's the only explanation for the ease of our escape."
"Easy? You call that easy?" Han furrowed his brow at her.
"She's right." Anakin agreed in the doorway, "They're tracking us."
"Not this ship, buddy." Han rolled his eyes.
"At least the information in R2 is still in tact." Leia shook her head to her the worst was over for now.
"What's so important? What's he carrying?" Han asked.
"The technical read outs of that battle station." Leia confessed, "I only hope that when the data is analyzed a weakness can be found. It's not over yet."
"It is for me, sister." Han replied, "Look I ain't in this for your 'revolution' and I ain't in it for you, princess. I expect to be paid, I'm in it for the money." Anakin rolled his eyes at this mans selfishness.
"You don't need to worry about your reward." Leia rolled her eyes the same way, "If money is all that you love, then that is all you'll receive."
Leia got up just as Luke came to join Anakin at the doorway.
"Your friend is quite the mercenary." Leia stared between the two, "It's a wonder if he really cares about anything, or anybody."
Anakin could sense her disappointment as she walked away.
"I care-" Luke said as she left but Anakin clapped a hand on his shoulder.
"I wouldn't. Not now." Anakin stopped him. Luke shrugged his hand off and went to sit next to Han.
"So what do you think of her, huh?" Luke asked the smuggler.
"I'm trying not to, kid." Han said in disdain. Luke looked down and smiled, content with the answer.
"Good." Anakin said from behind them. His protectiveness showing through. But Han was amused by Luke's reaction to his answer. He was put on his high horse that Luke saw him as a threat. He wasn't finished.
"Still, she's a gal with a lot of spirit." Han looked back between the two and smirked, "What do you think? You think a princess and a guy like me-?"
"No." both men stopped him in his tracks. Anakin left the scene to go see his sweet daughter. No one in that room would marry his daughter, Luke especially. Han laughed to himself in amusement.
They continued the ride in silence, all the way to the rebel base on Yavin 4. Even though Anakin sensed the worst, this was they're only shot to at least have back up.
The travelers were put onto a shuttle and brought through the vicinity. Anakin was impressed with how far they had come. The Rebellion started years ago, when Caleb and Ahsoka asked him to come along they were such a small organization then. Everything was beginning to fall into place, now is the right time.
"You're alive." A man who looked important approached them, he hugged Leia, "We heard about Alderaan. We feared the worst-"
"We have no time for our sorrows, commander." Leia dismissed the topic, "You must use the information in this R2 Unit to plan the attack."
"And how do you suggest we do that?" The commander asked.
"Well sir, I brought you a present." Leia smiled,
"I noticed you brought friends, recruits?" He asked.
"Actually, my rescuers. Sir this is Han Solo, Captain of the Millennium Falcon. And his co-pilot: Chewbacca." She introduced the duo. The men all shook hands.
"We hope the rebellion is lucky enough to earn some of your flying, Captain Solo." The Commander nodded his head in gratitude.
"I'm afraid Captain Solo won't be of any use to us-" Leia began to explain but Han became offended by her speaking for him.
"Hey, if the money's good I'd fly anywhere and anything." Han crossed his arms.
"Good to know." Commander commented uncomfortably.
"Sorry, Commander. This is another rescuer, Luke Skywalker." Leia introduced and the two men shook hands.
"It's a pleasure to meet you sir, I've always wanted to join the Rebellion-" Luke began in excitement. But the Commander was in aw.
"Did you say Skywalker?" The commander asked, shaking his hand, "It's an honor, young man, I didn't know he had a son."
"You knew my father?" Luke asked immediately. Luke simply let go from Anakin being his father, he gave up on that idea since Anakin wasn't giving it up.
"Everyone in the Military, in the galaxy who lived through the Clone Wars knew your father, kid." Commander smiled. Han looked at Luke with a questionable look, he had no idea. Leia seemed to be the only one to make the connection.
"Just wait, Commander." Leia paused, turning his body to Anakin. Anakin's eyes showed complete panic, he hadn't had the chance to tell Luke yet. What would he say? How will he react? Leia doesn't even know she's also a Skywalker. As far as the public knows, Anakin Skywalker died 19 years ago in the Jedi Temple Massacre. Letting that rumor out, who knows what'll happen? He wished he could stop her. If only the force could freeze time.
"This is Anakin Skywalker."
