Leo's P.O.V.

I was waiting in the emergency room for a couple hours. I told the others what happened, and they assured me they'd keep an eye on the kids, much to my relief. As I waited, I let my fears get the better of me. But can I be blamed? I was scared out of my wits. Scratch that, terrified.

I was afraid I was going to lose Twilight, again. I did some breathing methods to calm down. That's when the doctor came in.

Leonardo- How is she Doc? 

Doctor Eastman- Well she is recovering fine, but... it seems she was pregnant.

My eyes widened in surprise.

Leo- Pregnant? I didn't know-

Doctor Eastman- You'd be forgiven Mr. Hamato. It seems when Ms. Sparkle was pregnant with her son Blake, she was pregnant with twins. And Blake was the first egg. Unfortunately, the second egg didn't develop fast enough. Against all medical comprehension, Blake is the luckiest infant to have ever been born and lived. Unfortunately, the second egg was not so lucky. In fact, due to the stabbing Ms. Sparkle received in the hip by that sword, the stabbing killed the unborn egg. I'm afraid Twilight Sparkle has suffered a miscarriage, Mr. Hamato. I'm very sorry. 

I let all this information sink in. Then I looked down sadly. Poor Twilight. Shredder may have been dead, but at the cost of an unborn child. I felt devastated inside. A life ending may be bad enough, but the death of an unborn child before it can even begin? Words can't describe how tragic that is. I then mustered up the strength to say...

Leo- Can I please see her?

Doctor Eastman- *nods* Of course.

I then went into the room where Twilight was resting in. She was on a hospital bed, wearing a hospital gown, the blankets covering her. She was looking down silently. I was by her side. There was silence for a few minutes. That's when I decided to be the first to speak. 

Leo- Hey...

Twilight looked at me, and I could see the sadness in her eyes. Twilight's voice was shaky. 

Twilight Sparkle- D-did the d-doctors t-tell you...? 

I nodded, looking at her sadly.

 Twilight- I didn't even know I was... was...

That's when Twilight then burst into tears, sobbing. I then hugged her gently. She hugged me tightly, still crying. It hurt me to see her this way. I didn't even know I was crying. But I held her in my arms, crying with her. We stayed this way for a few minutes. I gently took off Twilight's glasses, and wiped her tears. 

Twilight- I need strength Leo...I held her hand, looking at her. 

Leo- I'll be your strength Twilight...

Twilight- But what about the Sunset Shimmer and Starlight Glimmer of your world?

Leo- They'll be fine. I'm sure they'd want me to be happy. I promise you Twilight, I will never leave you, no matter what. 

Twilight- Even after what I said?

Leo- That was in the past. And our past is not today. I know the pain still hurts. And I can't say it'll go away. It'll take time, but you'll be okay. Not today, not tomorrow, but someday, very soon, we'll get through this. I'm here for you, no matter what. 

Twilight tearfully smiled, and hugged me. 

Twilight- I love you Leonardo...

Leo- I love you too Twilight...

And we stayed this way, hugging each other, broken, but stronger together.
