The clan cats surrounded them more like prisoners than clan cats on their way back to camp. Well, technically, they are prisoners, but Frosty didn't care. Her tail bristled with excitement at the thought of hunting mice with the clan rather than eating dry pellets of food and living with twolegs. She jumped as she felt Crystal's tail brush against her back and Frosty looked into her gleaming, blue eyes.
"Isn't this exiting? Were going to live in a CLAN!" she mewed. Frosty felt a surge of envy. She was so excited, she couldn't talk but Crystal had the talent to do so. Frosty chased that feeling away. After what seemed like moons of walking, they came to a bramble wall that looked like an entrance to a place and the line of cats disappeared through the gorse tunnel.

The camp was enormous! LittleRed peered around the clearing, almost jumping out of her russet pelt at the sight of bramble dens, mossy nests and a massive rock that Skullstar leaped onto.
"All cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the highrock for a clan meeting!" Skullstar yowled, her scarred, left side of her lip trembling as she talked. Rainbreeze nudged them over to the foot of the highrock, taking his place beside them.
"The four cats who we found at the gathering has decided that they will join thunderclan" skullstar continued. "Goldenkit, Crystal, Frosty and LittleRed, will you learn our ways well and agree to joining our clan?"
"I do" they mewed at the same time.
"Goldenkit, from this moment on, you will be known as goldenpaw until you earn your warrior name. Sunfall will be your mentor and I trust that he will pass down all that he knows down to you. Frosty, you will be known as windpaw because of your excellent speed. Dappletail will be your mentor. Crystal, you will be known as silverpaw because of your shining pelt. Bluefur will be your mentor." LittleRed felt left out as goldenpaw, windpaw and silverpaw touched noses with their mentors. She wasn't named yet and she was beginning to think that they were going to send her back to the twoleg place while her friends lived with the clan. Her energy seemed to be sucked out of her as she pictured it in her mind. As skullstar disappeared into her den with rainbreeze. Tears welled in her eyes as she realised what they were doing. They were talking about her.
