Chapter 7 Wrong Path
Tae's hands tightened gently on Liam's shoulders. Liam had to bend down slightly so the shorter guy could reach him. "Are you sure you're okay?" Tae asked, genuine concern in his voice—so much so that the rest of 4 Town glanced over.
Liam swallowed hard. "I... I don't know. I've never felt like this before. I was never this... unstable."
Aaron T looked down and spotted the culprit: The lone ball-pit ball resting beneath Liam's overturned chair. He scooped it up. "Hey, what's this doing here?"
Liam recoiled; Tae instantly turned back to him. "W-what's wrong?" he asked, easing his grip.
Jesse reached out to take the ball from Aaron T. "Where did that come from? They've been all over the stadium. I thought I cleaned them up—guess I missed one."
Aaron Z studied Liam's terrified expression. "Liam... you know why these balls are everywhere?"
He did—at least sort of. He remembered somehow falling into that ball pit and ending up here, but had no idea how that even happened. "I... I don't know," he mumbled, voice cracking. He could see the doubt in his bandmates' eyes. So he tried to explain.
_______________
"Okay, let me see if I've got this straight—" Jesse began.
"In your world, you're this robot rabbit—once a human—then you strolled into the restaurant's ball pit, got dragged inside by another rabbit—a golden one—and then landed... here?"
"That would explain the scattered balls," Aaron Z nodded.
"Liam, why didn't you tell me?" Tae asked, eyes wide.
"I... I thought you wouldn't believe me," Liam muttered.
"Dude, we've seen you turn into a robot," Aaron T chuckled. "I'd believe anything at this point."
"Not to mention we've dimension-hopped... with a boy who can change into a train," Jesse shook his head. "And we literally have a door to other dimensions. You falling through a ball pit isn't the weirdest thing we've heard," he added, folding his arms.
Relieved they believed him, Liam thanked them. Silence fell—until Tae asked, "So this golden rabbit you mentioned... what happened to it?"
Aaron Z leaned forward. "Where'd it go? It dragged you here—shouldn't it have followed?"
"Oh, hell no!" Robaire suddenly hissed. "It's here with us? I can maybe swallow the fact of Liam's bunny form t-thing... but an evil golden one? No way!" He grabbed Jesse's arm.
"Calm down, Robaire," Jesse soothed. "If it were here, we'd have seen it."
Liam swallowed again. "It said... it wanted someone called Oswald."
Robaire blinked, then released Jesse. "Who?"
"Oswald?" Tae tilted his head. "Who's that?"
"I- I... I have no idea," Liam said. "I know as much as you guys."
Tae scanned the group. "Did anyone actually see another person here?"
"Other than Liam? No," Robaire said.
"Haven't seen any animatronics but his blue one," Aaron T added, tossing the ball up. On the second toss, he missed. "Oh crap!" The ball hit the floor, rolled to Liam, and tapped his foot.
A jolt rippled through him. Instantly, Liam's skin took on a metallic sheen and his form snapped back into Toy Bonnie.
"AHH!" Robaire screamed.
"Liam!" Tae gasped, eyes wide at the ten-foot animatronic. Liam struggled—he was glitching. Tae knelt and grabbed his hands. "Liam, calm down!" He tried to comfort him.
Inside the robotic shell, Liam fought to steady himself. Slowly, he relaxed. The tension drained away, and he shimmered back into human form beside Tae, blinking.
"That... was terrifying," Robaire whimpered, clutching Jesse.
"It's the ball," Aaron T said. "It rolled to his foot and—bam—he turns."
"But why..." Liam sighed. "And I wasn't this unstable before. I never could talk clearly as Toy Bonnie, but I never glitched like that."
"Maybe you just need to calm yourself when you're Bonnie. Like, Practice?" Tae suggested.
Liam nodded. "Maybe you're right."
"There must be a way for you to talk," Tae said. "I heard you before. But it was very quiet...
"Yeah, Tae, that takes a lot of my energy..." Liam said. "It's possible, but I felt like I was dying a second time when I tried to make a sound,"
"Oh..." Tae's brow furrowed.
"But I can use the voicebox," Liam said.
"Voicebox?" Tae asked. "What voicebox?"
"The speaker in Toy Bonnie's chest," Liam explained.
"Oh, that was a speaker?" Aaron Z asked.
"Dude, it literally looked like a speaker. The hell you thought it was?" Aaron laughed.
"Well, why didn't you use it? Does it take more energy?" Tae pressed.
Liam shook his head. "It's broken. If it's damaged, I can't use it."
"Darn," Tae grunted.
"Broken?" Jesse perked up. "Maybe I can fix it—I'm good with tools."
"Fix it? But that'll mean Liam has to be Toy Bonnie for you to do that," Tae pointed out.
"I can try. I know he's unstable as it is, but if it means he'll be able to talk to us as the robot, it'll be worth it,"
Tae blinked, then looked over at Liam. "Liam... are you up for that?"
Liam sighed, realizing it might be necessary. He hadn't used the voicebox in a while. He had tried once during the day to make a child happy by saying their name, but it had raised suspicions among the staff, who believed someone was hacking into the animatronic systems.
Tae walked over to Aaron T and took the ball from him. "Liam... are you sure you wanna forcefully turn back into the animatronic?"
Liam nodded.
"Okay..." Tae said nodding. "Brace for it..." He reached over slowly and placed the blue ball onto Liam's shoulder.
There was a zap, and Tae quickly stepped away, just as Liam warped into his robot.
Once again, Toy Bonnie's head was twitching, and there was a single white dot in both pitch-black eyes, Seeing this, Robaire hid behind Jeese again.
"Alright-, wait here," Jeese said as he went to get his tools.

There was a problem. Once Jeese came back with his tools, he and everyone soon realized that they didn't know what they were doing.
They wanted to fix the speaker, but they didn't know how to access it. "Oh shit... guys, how am I gonna... do I need to take the entire voice box out? How do I do this?" Jeese said, poking around the rim of the speaker. He was trying to find a latch, or a screw, or anything. He there was nothing.
"Shit, we should have asked Liam how we are supposed to open it..." Tae grunted. "Now what are we gonna do?"
Liam could hear them speaking. He tried to keep still, but he was still shaking. Because he wasn't trying to talk to them, he stayed relatively still and wasn't moving too much.
He didn't want to try to warp back, and then back to Bonnie again, so he tried to use some energy to talk to them. But he knew it wasn't gonna be easy. But, all he needed to say, was a few words.
Liam got ready, then spoke-
"The... Button... on the face..."
There was a slight whisper. Tae heard it. "L-Liam? What did you say?"
Liam tried to say it again.
"The button... The face-plate..."
Aaron T blinked. "Okay, I heard the word plate. Is he talking about a plate of food...or?"
"He said face...plate...?" Tae puzzled.
Jeese looked up at Toy Bonnie's face. "I think what was said, was face-plate," Jeese pointed to Toy Bonnie's head. "What we need is there..." But Toy Bonnie's head was glitching. Not as constant as before, since he's not trying to talk as much, or is scared as he was before, but it was still glitching nonetheless. Jesse was worried about what would happen to his hand if it got caught mid-glitch.
After looking at Toy Bonnie's head, he finally saw the button. "Okay... here goes,"
He quickly went to press it. The button clicked, and the face plates opened up then Toy Bonnie's eyes fell, and dropped to the floor.
Robaire gasped at it, but then seeing Toy Bonnie's face open, exposing the metal skull, was too much for Robaire, and he fainted. "R-Robaire!" Aaron Z gasped, and caught him.
"Oh shoot!" Jeese said once the eyes fell, he tried to catch them, but they landed on the floor with a loud bang.
Liam got worried and thought someone got hurt, he also winced when he noticed Robaire had fallen over.
Aaron Z held onto Robaire and then looked up at Toy Bonnie. "Oh geez... What do we do now?"
"The... button on the jaw..." Liam tried to speak.
Jesse only caught the word 'Jaw'
So, he looked at it. He quickly saw the button, and he quickly went to press it.
Then- there was a loud clang sound, as the chest capacity slowly opened from two doors, with the speaker in the middle below the bow tie, revealing the inner workings of the Toy animatronic.
"Woah..." Tae said in awe.
"Same here..." Jeese said. He looked directly at the speaker. "It... looks fine to me. There's probably just a faulty wire..."
And that's what it was. Liam tried to keep still as Jeese worked on the voice box. And after a while, it was finally fixed. "There, done... I think," Jesse shut the chest doors, then the face plates shut with it.
But Liam realized it wasn't done. They needed to test it out.
"You... Need to turn... Me on..." Liam garbled.
Jesse squinted his eyes. "You guys caught what he said?" He turned around to the bandmates.
Aaron Z shrugged.
"I caught turn him on," Tae said.
Aaron T had a confused look on his face. "Turn him on? Like... sexually?"
Even though Liam was ever so slightly unstable, after hearing that, Toy Bonnie's head lifted up, and he yelled out "What?!" His voice sounded garbled, but everyone made out what he said.
Aaron Z busted out laughing, and pushed Aaron T. "Dude?! Get your mind out of the gutter!" He laughed at Aaron T.
Tae face palmed, giggling himself.
Jesse shook his head and looked back at Toy Bonnie. "Liam must have meant to turn on the robot..." Jesse looked around the frontal part of the animatronic. "But I don't... know how to do that," He said after.
"I thought you were good with things like this?" Aaron T smirked.
Jesse sighed. "Radios and such. The speaker is more my strength. I just don't know how to turn on a robot,"
"Bow tie..." They heard Liam whisper.
Jesse looked up at the animatronic rabbit. "Hmm? Bow tie?"
Liam was at his breaking point of collapsing. He has been using too much energy. But he had to stretch it out. "The Bow tie... turn it... two times to the right... then... left..."
Jesse tried to follow along. He looked at the red bow tie. "Alright... I caught two times to the left and then right. I'm gonna assume you meant my right..." Jesse reached for the bow tie, then turned it to times to the right, then left.
There was a clank sound.
"Holy hell!" Aaron Z gasped from behind Jesse.
Toy Bonnie stopped glitching, and it lowered down a bit. As if... the animatronic shut down.
Jesse stepped back a little.
"What's happening?" Tae asked. "Is he okay?

"I don't know," Jesse said. "I did what he told me. I really hope it was supposed to be my right and left-,"
Then, Jesse got cut off, by Toy Bonnie making a sudden jerk, it quickly stood upright, and its eyes opened to reveal the animatronic's normal eyes. "H-Hey kids! And welcome to Freddy Fazbear's P-P-P-Pizza! L-L-Let's ROCK!" Toy Bonnie's waist turned, followed by his arms, then his torso tilted a bit, his head turned towards the band members, his eyes were delayed a bit. Then rose its arms up to them, and waved at them.
Everyone stood there, staring at what was happening.
"Holy shit..." Tae said smiling.
"Honestly, same... He's moving like an actual robot..." Aaron Z said. By then Robaire woke back up, but after seeing Toy Bonnie moving in performance mode, he almost passed out again.
Aaron T was laughing. "Why did his voice sound like a chipmunk,"
"It sounded a little shaky at the end..." Jesse said. "Maybe the voice box needs some-,"
Then, Toy Bonnie stomped off and pushed past the band members.
"W-What? L-Liam? Where are you going?" Tae asked, blinking. He turned around and looked at Toy Bonnie walking away.
"Ahh!" Robaire yelled and hid behind everyone.
"What's happening? Why did he step off?" Jesse asked.
Toy Bonnie stopped. Its head looked around.
"Error..." It said.
"What?" Aaron Z asked.
"Error..." It repeated.
The band members looked at each other.
"Error... Pathfind not found..." Toy Bonnie spoke.
Tae blinked. "Pathfind?" He asked. He looked at Jesse. "What's a pathfind?"
"Error. Pathfind not found..." Toy Bonnie reapted.
Sounds of gears turning could be heard from the animatronic, and it turned around, facing 4 Town.
Tae thought it was Liam turning back around to them all, but... it wasn't.
The animatronic's eyes went red.
"Intruders..." It said to the band members. "Intruders...."
Tae gasped, and backed up. "W-What?"
"Intruders..." Toy Bonnie stepped closer. "Fazbear's is closed... Intruders..." The robot started to walk a bit faster towards Tae and the others.
"Uhh... should we run?" Aaron T asked with a worried expression coming on his face.
"I think we should!" Tae yelled.
