The human femme was intelligent, much to my surprise. I had never expected the creatures that inhabited this planet to be so crafty. She had caught onto my presence the first time I had approached her "house", as the humans called them. She would cautiously peek out her windows are stiffen whenever I got close. Her instincts were sharp, like an animal. I had been stalking this human for a few months now, per my master's orders. He had seemed rather intrigued to find that a grown human femme had sided with the Autobots. It presented a better opportunity to use her rather than the children, who were hardly ever apart from the Autobots. So of course, Megatron had ordered me, his most trusted comrade, to watch her in silence. I was never to speak of it to the troops or any other Decepticon other than he, which wasn't much of a problem for me, since I had taken an oath to never speak.

My audio receptors caught the unmistakable sound of a GroundBridge coming from inside her house. Barely making a sound, my visor peeked in through her back window. From another room, I could see the light of the Bridge glowing, before it disappeared. I slid across the edges of the house carefully, bringing myself to the side of her house, where she was in her berthroom.

I was taken aback at her appearance yet again. She was a stunning human, but I found it hard to believe that I really thought that. Her hair was decorative, and her body was curved perfectly. I willed my spark, which usually was ever quiet, to slow its beating. Her face was vent taking, the perfect picture of human beauty. It surprised me that she somehow made me feel like this. No one had ever gained my attention like this before...

I shook my helm slightly, an act I hardly ever did. I focused my processor on my task, which was too observe her, and when the time was right, sneak into the Autobot base with her.

Kia

I felt refreshed when I returned home, my energy drained from my time with the other Autobots and the children. They had arrived nearly an hour and a half after I had arrived, and the kids were super excited to see me, especially Miko. She immediately had challenged me to a racing dual, and the others had joined in, cheering and laughing and having fun. While the humans took turns, the bots watched from behind us, mostly the guardians but Smokescreen and Ratchet had joined us. While my best bot friend wasn't the cheering type, he did like to point out the times when I did well and crushed them with surprise moves. I laughed along with them happily, playing my heart out and casting my troubles away. The games had gone late into the night, and Jack sadly pointed out that they should all get home. After quick good-bye hugs, the guardians took their kids home while the Autobots retired to their berthrooms. I had stopped Ratchet just before he had gone to his, tapping his pede with a grin.

"Hey, I can't just walk home!" I joked, flashing my white teeth in a teasing smile.

He snorted, but he was grinning as well. Before he had activated the GroundBridge, he knelt over and brought his faceplate down to my level.

"Sleep well, Kia," he told me, extending a servo. "You complain of not getting enough sleep as of late."

I giggled, reaching forward and hugging his digits happily. "Meh, just stress, I guess. It'll be fine."

He chuckled at me, patting my head with his other servo. "Alright, but if you ever require anything," he started.

"You're just a call and a GroundBridge away," I finished for him with another big smile. "I gotcha. Thanks for your concern, though."

He grew seemingly embarrassed and glanced away while I let go of him. "Yes, yes. Let's get you home." He stood up and set up my coordinates.

I had waved like a madman as the portal opened. "You're the best, Ratch! See you later!"

He grinned warmly, nodding his helm once. I smiled even brighter as I went through the Bridge, happy that I could make him smile like that. Optimus and I were his best friends, and the only ones who could really make him act that way. It was nice, knowing that I actually had a best friend.

I sighed as I plopped onto my bed, the memory still playing in my brain, before stinging words entered my thoughts.

They may be your friends, but they will never truly understand you. You're a freak.

I rolled onto my back, one arm behind my head as my eyes half lidded. It felt suffocating, not being able to tell them about myself. At the same time, they could never get it. It wasn't natural. I sighed again as I laid my palm out flat, my body lazy as I hardly had to concentrate. A burst of fire flew from my hand, turning into a small, flickering flame floating above my fingers. I stared at the first of my elemental powers I had discovered, extinguishing it with a small groan through my closed mouth. I rolled onto my stomach again, thinking about my powers, even though I didn't really want to. I blinked back tears welling into my eyes and forced my breathing to remain normal. I wouldn't cry here, not now. I wasn't going to pity myself like this.

I sat up quickly as I heard a small snap from outside, and immediately I knew it was outside, watching me again. Whoever or whatever it was. Narrowing my eyes, I decided to scare it a little this time. The earth outside rumbled slightly, and I saw a shadow stumble from outside my window. Glaring hard, I slowly got to my feet, keeping the earth at a low tremble, but just enough to shake whoever was out there, and stalked over to the window. In the dark, I saw something crouched on my wall, struggling against the current of the tiny quake. As quickly as I could, I swung my window open and leaned out.

Immediately, my eyes widened at the robot in front of me. I wasn't surprised that it was a giant robot; I had already had that shock a long time ago. I was more surprised that it wasn't any Autobot that I knew, which only meant one thing.

Its a Decepticon.

I pulled out my iPhone and flicked on the flashlight, shining it on its faceplate and chassis. It was male, but he was rather slim, his body sleek and shiny. His features were hidden by a black visor, and there was something abnormal on his chest chassis. I stopped the earth rumbling, instead sending frost from under him, glaring dangerously. There was no way I was going to let him threaten me.

"What in the name of the Allspark do you want with me?" I hissed through clenched teeth, shining the light in what I hoped was his optics.

The Con rose to his pedes, bending over so that he reached my level. He was smooth, calculated, making no kind of threatening move. I felt his gaze sharpen on me, and I clenched the phone tighter. He didn't reply, just slowly moved closer, raising his servos and extending his thin fingers. I drew back, but the servos didn't reach me. Instead, they raised above his helm slightly and held there. His position was nothing but submissive, and I realized with a start that he had no intention of harming me. My hand holding the light faltered slightly as he sat back on his backside, his gaze never leaving me.

"Seriously, what do you want?"
