Fairytale AU

Once Upon a time, there was a kingdom of trolls. They are the most happy kingdom in the world but, just like a rose there are thorns. These evil thorns are hidden well by their masks and have plans to bring all the other trolls to their knees...

One day a beautiful mixed race blue troll,Branch, sits alone in the outskirts of her kingdom admiring it's beauty. She is one of the most beautiful trolls in the kingdom but,doesn't know it. Branch is the survivalist of the kingdom and lives in the forest by choice. Branch has natural beauty which always got the attention of men. Most of the time they didn't bother her and would admire her from a far but,few of the kingdom's thorns has their eyes on Branch.

Suddenly Branch notices the outskirts become dead silent! Her gut told her something is wrong but,she didn't know what. Then she hears a strange sound but, when she turns to see the source a ball of glowing dark magic hits her! Branch falls onto the ground as all the magic goes into her! Suddenly she feels weak as her skin turns grey,hair turns black and nose becomes dull but,her eyes remain blue. Branch hears three female sounding evil laughs as she blacks out.

Three evil female trolls; Wendy,Willow and Creek, walk over to their victim. Willow and Wendy are wearing simple necklaces with a colourful stone that have magic. They hated Branch for many reasons but,their main reason is that they are very jealous of her which they would never admit.

They are jealous of how the other men think she is one of the most beautiful trolls and that she even gets King Poppy's attention a lot! They don't think Branch deserves any of it and they think they are more beautiful than her! They felt that her being grey is a good punishment and will keep her looks out of their way because, to them grey trolls are ugly freaks of nature.

"Terence!Jordan!Christopher!", Willow and Wendy call out.

" We have the trash right here!",Creek says evilly.

Terence, Jordan and Christ comes over to the women then look at Branch. The three men also wearing necklaces that match Wendy's and Willow's. They smirk at the unconscious grey woman. Terence folds his arms as Jordan and Christ smile evilly.

"You know what to do,Christ...", Terence says evilly.

Christ picks Branch up and throws her over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes. Then they all walk away into the forest and magically disappears into thin air! The next day,King Poppy is walking through the kingdom looking for Branch. He had not seen her in a while. Then he bumps into DJ Suki,Millie and Smidge. Millie and Smidge are holding each other's hand.

" Hey DJ,Millie,Smidge. Have you seen Branch?",the king asks his friends.

The three think for a moment. They honestly have not seen her since yesterday. The three trolls tell Poppy that they didn't see her at all today. The king wonders where Branch could be.

"How about you try checking the kingdom outskirts or her bunker.", DJ suggests.

Poppy smiles at his friend. The king thanks DJ then says " Good Bye" to all three of them. Poppy walks away with speed hoping to find Branch. DJ and Smidge share a knowing look.

"He's in love with her!", Both males state knowingly and happily.

Millie couldn't agree more with them. They know about Branch and Poppy's feelings for each other. They have been wondering for a long time when the two were going to admit it. It hasn't happened yet but,it should happen soon.

Soon Poppy is at the outskirts but, nobody is there. The king then goes into the forest hopeful. Branch's bunker is close to the outskirts. He has been there many times before. Poppy finds it quickly then knocks on the doormat but,to his surprise he got no response. He knocks again and again getting louder but, still no response. This is strange for Branch.

" Maybe she is somewhere in the kingdom I didn't check...",Poppy comments.

Meanwhile somewhere very far away,The Terrors and Creek are in an abandoned old and dark stone castle. Terence walks up the stairs of the tallest tower. He reaches the room at the top and opens the metal window with bars taking up most of top of the big wooden door. Terence smirks as he sees an upset Branch sitting on the fancy old bed made for a princess.

"Calmed down yet,princess?", Terence says evilly and jokingly.

Branch turns her head to Terence looking like she is cross. Terence laughs amused by her unhappiness.

" let me go... You PSYCHO!", Branch says raising her voice louder at the end upset.

Terence just smirks at Branch like he is amused by her. Branch gets up and walks to the locked door.

"Don't count on it,Sleeping Grey!", Terence replies rudely.

Branch just glares at Terence upset with her arms folded.

" Don't pout,Branch. You'll be very useful to us soon and maybe afterwards to me too...",Terence says evilly then winks at Branch.

Branch is disgusted by Terence. She hates Terence and has been for many years! For good reasons too. Sometimes the way he behaved was creepy and he was known to be forceful and violent too.

"Don't Even Think About It!", Branch yells disgusted and shocked.

Terence tilts his head playfully while smiling evilly. He likes playing with his victims and captives. It was like a fun game to sick mindset. He truly believed that he could do whatever he wanted in one way or another without consequences.

" Oh. Still saving yourself for your daring King Poppy, are we?",Terence says mockingly.

Branch glares at Terence with hate. He knows about Branch's feelings towards Poppy. He would always mock her about it and put her down by saying and implying that Poppy wouldn't go for a girl like her. It hurt her a lot when he did it. Terence brings his head back up.

"Well don't worry about it cause soon Creek will be taking care of him...", Terence says evilly.

Branch becomes mad once she heard that. Creek and her are enemies for a reason. Branch knows her true colours and she knows that Creek will only hurt and use Poppy!

" Leave Him Alone!Or Else! ",Branch yells mad.

Terence smirks amused by his captive once again.

" Or else what? Your stuck in there while I'm out here,you weak excuse for a survivalist! ",Terence says evilly and heartless.

Branch knows that she is stuck and imprisoned in this tower but, she cares about and loves Poppy way too much to let him get hurt by the Terrors and Creek! She glares at Terence again. If looks could kill he would be dead in seconds.

" Now I hope you enjoy this tower cause you'll be staying here a long time,princess. Like the classic old Fairytales except your not going to get your "Happily Ever After"...", Terence says mockingly and evilly.

Then Terence shuts the metal window closed ending the conversation. He laughs evilly as he walks down the stairs. Branch throws a fancy pillow at the door upset. It hits the door then lands on the floor. Branch turns the tower's only window. It has four bars blocking any troll from escaping or entering. She looks outside while holding two of the bars in front of her.

"I need to get out of here...", Branch says softly.

Back in the troll kingdom, a week has passed and Poppy is worried about Branch! He has not seen her at all! Nobody has! Poppy is worried something happened to her! Right now DJ Suki and Poppy are at the market with DJ's nephew,CJ Suki.

" Wickie - Wickie What!", DJ and CJ say together doing the motions of their signature handshake.

Poppy sits at a table next to the two family members. The king has a feeling that something is wrong. That something bad happened to Branch. Poppy wished that he will just see and hear from her so he could shake the feeling off. DJ and CJ join Poppy at the table and notice his expression.

"King Poppy?", CJ says softly getting Poppy's attention.

" Is everything okay,dude?",DJ asks concerned.

Poppy turns to both male gem trolls. He notices their concern for him then honestly and sadly sighs. He is not okay...

"No...I'm worried about Branch. Nobody has heard from her or seen her in a week! I check her bunker inside and out several times and she is not there at all! I checked her favourite parts of the kingdom too but,still nothing! I have this feeling that something happened...something bad! Maybe she is just went into the forest on another trip to collect herbs and flowers and forgot to tell me but, still...", Poppy admits.

Poppy is usually more positive than negative but,something is off about how Branch is nowhere around. Branch usually told him before she went on long trips. DJ understands why Poppy is worried. This whole thing does sound a little strange.

" That sound a little strange... ",DJ admits.

" Maybe she'll turn up soon. King Poppy, I'll tell you if I see her or heard something.",CJ says and promises.

Poppy and DJ smiles at CJ. DJ messes with CJ's hair while smiling proud.

"Thanks kid.", Poppy thanks warmly.

Later that day, Poppy is scrapbooking and humming by a tree. Creek,Willow and Wendy are watching from a far. Creek smirks happily.

" Now that Branch is out of the way I can finally get the King by my side...", Creek says evilly.

Wendy and Willow evilly laugh agreeing with Creek. They made sure that Branch couldn't leave her tower. Creek slowly walks over to the king who happily scrapbooks a picture of him and Branch. Creek stops in front of Poppy blocking some of the sunlight. The king notices the shadow looming over him and looks up.

"Oh...hey Creek.",Poppy greets neutrally.

Then the king puts down his scissors on the Scrapbook. Creek flirty smiles at Poppy.

" Hey Poppy. What are you scrapbooking? ",Creek says flirty.

Poppy doesn't notice the flirty tone. Creek sits down in front of the king. Poppy looks at Creek innocently.

" Just something of me and Branch. I'm very worried about her so I decided to do something to relax. I finished two whole scrapbooks of me and Branch already before you came...",Poppy admits.

Creek feels jealous that Branch has the attention even know she is not here! Creek loves being center of attention but,she hated it when Branch had it! Ever since Branch came along Poppy always had special attention for Branch then things changed when she blossomed. Creek use to get all the attention but, now she shares it which makes her want to scream. The evil woman uses her acting skills to make herself seem caring and nice.

"Oh it's so sweet that you worry about her,Poppy...But, I think you should stop and focus on more important things.",Creek says.

Poppy is now confused. Why would he stop worrying about Branch? How is Branch not important enough to focus on? Branch is the troll who stole his heart.

" What you mean? I care about her. I Love Her! How is that not important enough to focus? ",Poppy says softly and honestly.

Creek is shock and angry now! Branch had stolen the king from her! She wants to go back to the tower and give Branch pain! Creek calms herself down enough to seem calm to Poppy.

" Oh I didn't mean to make 'Branch sound less important'. It's just the stressbooking is bothering...",Creek lies calmly.

Creek doesn't care about Poppy stressing at all! She only likes Poppy cause he's rich,handsome and royalty!

"I'm okay,Creek... I just miss her...", Poppy says honestly.

Creek suddenly sees an opportunity to do something to make Poppy forget about Branch.

" I'll could help you forget and make you feel better...",Creek says flirty.

Poppy is now confused and shocked once again. His eyes are wide as puts one and two together. Did she imply what he thinks she's implying?

"What?",Poppy says shock.
