Cardi POV:
I'm getting ready to go on my date with August. I put my makeup on and flat iron my hair. Then, I put my dress and heels on.

I heard a knock on the door and I opened the door. It was August.

"You ready?", August said
"Yeah", I said
I got my purse and close my door.
We walked to his Range Rover and he opened the door for me.

I went in his car on the passenger side and he went in on the driver side. I was just looking at the window cause I was ready to go.

"You good bardi?" , August said

"Yeah I'm good", I said

We drove off and the whole entire time driving to the restaurant it was silent. I can see in the corner of my eye that he is looking at me. We finally pulled up at Lilette restaurant. We got out and went in the restaurant.

"Hello, we made reservation", August said

"What's your name", the lady said

"August", August said

"Okay, right this way sir", the lady said

We sat down at the table, then the waiter came.

"Do y'all guys like anything to drink", the waiter said

"I will like a water", August said

"I will like strawberry lemonade", I said

"Okay, I will be right back with y'all drinks", the waiter said

The waiter left. August was staring at me and I looked up at him.

"You look beautiful and I see you have a new hair color", August said

"Yeah and thanks auggie", I said

"Well, wifey why you wanted to talk", August asked.

"Umm..", I said then the waiter came back with our drinks.

"Okay, here y'all drinks, are you guys ready to order", the waiter questioned.

"Yes, I will like to have the Grilled Hanger Steak and what ever the wifey wants", August said

"Well, I will have the same thing", I said

"Okay", the waiter said then he walked away

"So, back to what you was saying", August said

"Well, I wanted have dinner with you cause it's about my mom and dad", I said

"What you mean? " August asked concerned.

"Every time my dad drinks he wants to argue with my mom and fight on her"

"Like, me and henny don't need to go through this and I try to tell my mom she doesn't need him but she still stays with him", I said

Then, a tear drops down my face. August reaches over and dry my face.

"Baby girl stop crying if you and Hennessy need to stay with me until y'all get y'all own place y'all can", August said

"Okay, I will see if I can", I said

He kissed me on my cheek. Finally, the waiter came back with are food. We ate and talked about stuff that's going on in school. It felt so good to be around my auggie. Like a breath of fresh air, something I really needed and missed. We left the restaurant taking the short drive back to my house. We pulled up at my house within 15 minutes. He got out the car and went to the passenger side. He opened the door and picked me up.

"August what you doing put me down", I said

"What you mean what I'm doing, I'm picking you up I know your feet hurt", He said

"You right", I said

"Ok I know daddy right", He said

"Boy whatever", I said

Then, we both started laughing and he put me down by my the door.

"Well, I have to go inside", I said

"Okay, I will see you tomorrow at school", He said

He reached over and gave me a kiss.

"Okay, love you", I said

"Love you too baby girl" ,He said

I went in the house and see Hennessy snoring in my bed. I took a shower then woke her up.

"Henny, wake up and get in your bed", I said

"Oh my bad sista", henny said

She went on her bed.

"How was your date"

"It was good", I said

"Awww, sista in love", she said

"Shut up", I said

Then, I hit her with the pillow and we both started laughing.

"Okay, I'm about to go back to sleep goodnight girl", She said

"Goodnight", I said

Then, we went to sleep.
