After finishing up with Soundwave I led Starscream onto the launch bay where the wind would hide our talk, turning to face him I sat down and watched as he seemed to fidget for a moment.

"Why did you do that? Lord Megatron will be furious with both of us if he figures out you lied to him!" The silver mech fretted, I simply shrugged and looked to the sky.

"I couldn't be bothered watching you suffer a beating, especially after you helped me escape the Autobot's, I'm replaceable since I was built not born, plus if Megatron finds out he won't even bother with you, sure he will probably tear me apart and forbid Soundwave from further building experiments but I can easily be replace, you were born, you had a carrier and a sire, you can't be so easily replaced Starscream," I explained simply, this had the seeker at a loss for words.

"I never really thought of it that way," he mumbled scratching the back of his helm, shaking my own helm I stood and turned back towards the ship doors.

"Don't worry about it Screamer, trust me, it's not worth it," I sighed as I headed inside, without a second thought I began to make my way back to Soundwave's work bay to see what he was up to this time. Upon entering I was greeted it's his usual empty glance, giving a respectful nod I approached his side and sat beside him to examine his work.

"I couldn't be bothered watching you suffer a beating, especially after you helped me escape the Autobot's, I'm replaceable since I was built not born, plus if Megatron finds out he won't even bother with you, sure he will probably tear me apart and forbid Soundwave from further building experiments but I can easily be replace, you were born, you had a carrier and a sire, you can't be so easily replaced Starscream," he mimicked with his voice recording, pinning my ears I focused on his current work.

"Tell Lord Megatron if you want, if he does rip me apart you've always got Lazerbeak, Ravage and the others, I won't join the all spark like everyone else but hey at least I didn't turn traitor like a certain few who once lived amongst us all," I grumbled as I began to fix a few encryptions I noticed were wrong, as silently as ever Soundwave continued his work.

"Not replaceable," he stated using my voice once more, glancing at him I continued to work alongside my creator well into the night until my energon stores felt drained.

"I'm going to get some sleep, fetch me from recharge if you need me," I sighed as I turned and headed for my usual recharge station at the edge of the room, taking a final glance at Soundwave I felt thankful that to him I wasn't replaceable.

**Time Skip**

The sound of heavy footfalls caused me to stir, a gentle hand upon my helm made me open my eyes to see Soundwave standing before me with his hand on my helm. Lifting my helm I gave a yawn before standing, for him to wake me meant something was up.

"Find anything useful in that old code?" I questioned as I shook myself clean of any dust, the slight nod caught my attention as I followed him to look over what he had decoded from the ancient text.

"You found Shockwave's old coordinates as well as the location of an artefact?" I questioned reading it all over, after I finished reading it I turned to glance at him.

"Affirmative," he replied, the sound of a door opening caused me to turn to see my fearless leader entering with Starscream by his side.

"I received your message Soundwave, if you really have found traces of our dear friend Shockwave we must send out a ground bridge to retrieve him, his old works on project Predacon were a rather large success and losing that potential was such a shame, on the other hand we must also get to this new artefact before the Autobot's do, open a ground bridge to the artefacts location, I wish to personally retrieve it, Shadowseeker, you will accompany me as with your keen sense of smell you would have an easier time locating it than I myself would, Starscream, your mission is to figure out if our dear friend is still alive, if he is send word back to Soundwave and he shall return you both here and await my arrival," Megatron ordered, shocked that so soon after my disappearance I had been chosen to accompany Megatron himself I was quick to follow him through the ground bridge. Once through I gave my surroundings a quick look over, from what I could tell we were deep inside a rather large canyon. Lowering my helm towards the ground I began to let my tracking systems boot up, moving around I began to pick up faint traces of something strange. The more I followed it the stronger then scent grew until it felt overpowering, figuring this to be the spot it was located I began to claw at the hard earth as I dug for the supposed artefact. After a few moments of digging I noticed a strange object beneath my paws, grabbing it gently within my jaws I pulled it from the earth and placed it down where it could easily be seen by my fearless leader.

"Most interesting, I thought we lost this when Cybertron turned into the broken mess of a planet it is now," Megatron stated picking the strange object up, tilting my head I began to swivel my ears to make sure nothing was nearby.

"What is it?" I questioned before turning to look above us at cliffs, I couldn't place my paw on it but something felt off.

"It's known to us as the Sharp Shield, when interacted with a certain way it will create a shield for its wielder that for the most part will deflect attacks back at those who caused it," Megatron informed looking it over for a moment longer, something glinting at the top of the cliffs caught my attention and I let out a low growl.

"We have visitors my lord," I growled my eyes narrowed as I scanned the cliffs for that strange glinting light once more, a soft flash of red had me on high alert as without much needed instruction I began to summon a ground bridge back to the Nemesis. Before I could get very far in doing so a large blast shot past us colliding with the ground and sending a large spray of dirt and rock over us, snarling I charged from the cloud of dust attacking the nearest thing to me. Much to my surprise I had latched my jaws onto a strange mostly blue and silver bot, scanning him as he thrashed about I picked up his name to be Ultra Magnus. Using my tail I wrapped it around other arm to prevent him pulling me off as I dug my teeth deeper into his arm to the point I swore it should have broken off, a hard blast across my face sent me rolling away but not before I tore his arm clean off.

"You alright there!?" I heard someone shout from somewhere nearby, turning my head I noticed Megatron fighting off the one they called Optimus Prime and two other bots I couldn't seem to label.

"Just fine," Ultra Magnus snarled his voice strained from the pain, licking the energon from my muzzle I lunged lashing out with my claws to try and seperate the three bots I now faced. Before I could react after landing however I felt a somewhat heavy weight drop onto my back, turning my helm I noticed the black and yellow scout had attempted to outweigh me and pin me to the ground. Letting out a furious snarl I leapt into the air before spinning and throwing the small scout to the ground, as quickly as I could I pinned him down with my tail blade pressed firmly above his spark. This caused the canyon to fall silent, they wouldn't make a move so long as their precious Bumblebee was under my grasp and I knew that fact all too well.
