Origin: Upswing was being chased through space by an alien when he crash-landed on Earth, on the beach of Griffin Rock. After capturing the alien with the help of the Rescue Bots, he agreed to stay until his ship could be fixed. While in Griffin Rock, however, he discovered how much he loved rescue work, and ultimately decided to stay on earth. Afterward, Optimus assigned him elsewhere, but he comes by Griffin Rock whenever they need backup.

Personality: Upswing is kind and sweet. He likes to write his experiences in his diary and is always ready to help. However, due to experiencing war during his years in space, he is cautious about others, only trusting his closest friends with his secrets.

Details: Upswing has a scoop on his back in bot mode. This helps him carry extra things when his hands are full. His head is helmet-shaped with teeth similar to his scoop on it.

1. Before the war, Upswing was quiet and shy.

2. Uptrail was the first to approach and befriend Upswing.

3. Upswing has fought alongside the Autobots for years, but he never liked fighting, hence why he's a Rescue Bot now.

4. The war has traumatized him.
