Avu (going near him): Dad, you remember I told you about Siddharth, my P.A.

Avu's dad nodded looking at her.

Avu (excitedly): So, here he is.

Avu's dad looked at her in shock. He glanced at Sidd, who was already looking at him with fear. Avu's dad went near Sidd. Sidd glanced up but then looked down. Avu's dad smiled patting his shoulder.

Avu's dad (smiling, shaking his hand): Nice to meet you man!

Sidd smiled back and shook his hand.

Sidd: Same here!

Avu's mom was looking at him in shock and confusion.

Avu's mom (a loud): Will anyone tell me what is going on here and who is this guy?

Sidd's smile fell hearing her. He was afraid of her reaction. Avu's dad went near her and side hugged her.

Avu's dad: Sonia, our Avneet has grown up now.

Avu smiled hearing him.

Avu's dad (looking at Avneet): She is running my business too and now she has selected her groom.

Avu's mom looked at him astonished. Her eyes were wide open.

Avu's mom (looking at her husband, confused): What do you mean?

Avu's dad (looking at Sidd): Our Avneet likes Siddharth and wants to marry him.

Avu's mom looked at him in shock. She then glanced at Avneet who was standing there with a smile.

Avu's mom (loudly): You have hide such an important thing from me Avneet. How can you marry him all of a sudden? You know what actually you are saying. You are not dating but marrying him without knowing his background, family or anything.

Sidd looked down as he was already expected this. Avu's smile fell while Jai was also looking at his mom. Avu walked towards her mother and held her hands.

Avu: Mom, I know everything about him. His family, his background everything and I just discussed it with dad as he wanted to meet Sidd first. It was so sudden and I wanted to surprise you mom.

Avu's mom: Avneet, you have really given me a surprise.

Saying this she left from there and walked towards her room while everyone kept calling her from behind but she didn't listened to anyone. Seeing this reaction, Sidd got hurt and he decided to leave from here. He moved infront of Avu's dad.

Sidd (smiling): It was nice meeting you uncle but seems like Aunty wasn't happy seeing me here.

Avu's dad (patting his back): No dear, it's nothing as you are thinking. She just got a little mad because Avneet didn't shared it with her.

Sidd (smiling): I understand and I should leave now.

Avu was about to speak something but kept quite as her father signed to. Avu's dad patted his shoulder.

Avu's dad (smiling): You are a disciplined guy with respect and generosity. I really liked you and I want you to join my office.

Sidd (smiles back): I will surely. Have a good day.

Saying this he glanced at Avneet. She looked at him as he forced smile. He left from there. As soon as he left Avu came near her father.

Avu (worried): Dad...!

Avu's dad (holding her from shoulders): Relax my child. It was her natural reaction. Give her time. Let her calm her, I will talk to her.

Avu nodded as her dad consoled her. She looked in the direction where Sidd went.

Sidd entered his apartment and threw the keys on the side table beside bed. He sat on the bed disappointed by the reaction of Avu's mom. He exhaled sharply dragging his phone. He typed an e-mail but then kept his phone back and layed on his bed, staring the ceiling only.

Next day,
At cafeteria,

Arun was guiding a waitor when Sidd came from behind. Arun turned back to get surprised seeing Sidd while Sidd was smiling at him.

Arun (hugging him): What's up bro? How was your tour to your in-laws?

Sidd (smiling sadly): It was good but her mom's reaction was quite weird and it disturbed me also.

Arun's smile fell. He looked around and then dragged Sidd in the kitchen and made him sit in the corner and he also sat on stool infront of him.

Arun (confused): What do you mean by that?

Sidd: I don't know why but she looked at me with  strange sympathy and pity in her eyes. I-It might be my illusion too.

Arun: What exactly happened?

Sidd explained him everything. As soon as he completed, Arun made an annoyed face.

Arun (annoyed voice): Bro, it might be nothing as you are thinking yaar.

Sidd (thinking about it): Yeah, it might be.

Arun: Anyways, leave all this and tell me your next plan.

Sidd: I have decided to rejoin her company. What do you think?

Arun (thinking about it): That's a good idea.

Sidd (sadly): But I don't want to lose you like this.

Arun (chuckling): who said you will lose me, you silly guy? I am your friend and will always be.

Sidd (excited): Why don't you join her company too? I know she will hire you too.

Arun (chuckling while looking around): No yaar, this cafe, these people, this place is so close to my heart. I feel weird in 1 holiday if I don't come to cafe and you are asking me to join her company.

That bought tears in Sidd's eyes. He stood up and hugged Arun tightly, leaving Arun in shock but he hugged him back.

Sidd (whimpering): You have become so close to me in no time. You helped me in every situation. Thank you so much!

This made Arun emotional. He broke the hug wiping his tears.

Arun (teasing him): Dude! We will talk daily. I promise! One day you will become C.E.O of that company too then you will come to have coffee here.

Sidd (blushing, looking down): It's nothing like that.

Arun (mocking him): Ya ya I know.

Sidd (in mind, smiling): I don't know till how much time I will be happy but I want to enjoy every moment of it. Who knows what will happen tomorrow?

He smiled looking at Arun and hugged him once again.

Avneet was sitting in her cabin, rocking her chair back and forth resting her chin on her elbow waiting for Siddharth. He promised that he will join her company today but now she is here waiting for him. She frowned glancing her watch. That's when, a knock was heard.

Avu (sitting straight): Yes, come in!

A peon came in. Avneet looked at him. He was holding a coffee cup.

Peon: Ma'am your coffee!

Avu (dull voice): Keep it here.

The peon placed it on her table and left from there. She rubbed her temples and sipped her coffee. She groaned again glancing at her watch. That's when, her landline rang. She picked it and what she heard made her happy till the core of her heart.

Avu (happily): let him come in!

She said dropping the call and started setting her hair. That's when, she heard a knock.

Avu (standing up): Come in!

Her glass door opened and Sidd came in with a dashing smile on his face. Her heart fluttered seeing him and she immediately went close to him. She hugged him, keeping her head on his chest while arms wrapped around his torso, leaving him astonished. He couldn't progress anything. He slowly moved his arms and wrapped around her waist, which sent goosebumps in her body. She broke the hug, looking at him.

Avu (like a strict C.E.O): I was waiting for so long. Where were you?

Sidd smiled seeing her possessiveness.

Sidd: I went to meet Arun and submit my resignation.

Avu (dragging his hand and intertwining their fingers): Now, you will be here right?

She asked confirming and he nodded his head. She smiled ear to ear.

Avu (happily): Alright then, there is a seminar after 2 days and you will also attend it.

Sidd: But I am not invited.

Avu: You are, not only you but my family, staff members, everyone is invited. You too.

Sidd (making faces): Then, I would also have to go?

Avu shook her head and laughed at his expressions. He burst into laughter too. After a long time, he was laughing like this with his loved one.
