Siddharth sobbed hard as he cut the call. Tears weren't stopping from his eyes. Crying for some minutes, he wiped his tears calming himself. He stood from his place and went to the washroom to get fresh. Each and every moment spent with his brother was roaming in his mind not letting him live in peace.

The next day,

In office,

Everyone was present there for the presentation, the clients haven't reached till now but Avneet was already sitting in the meeting hall. Some employees entered the room sitting at their position setting for presentation when Siddharth entered at last.

As soon as Avneet's eyes caught him, she smirked which made him nervous as hell. She stood from her seat going closer to Siddharth while he stepped back feeling uncomfortable. The presence of the whole staff didn't matter to her at all.

Avu (smirking): Today is your exam day. Let's see if you win this exam or not.

Siddharth looked at her with wide eyes while she was continuously smirking. He was determined, he was determined on one thing that no one knew. Avneet paced to her chair and sat on it.

Siddharth just looked at her. According to him, she was bipolar if one time she favours him then the other time she is against him. He wasn't sure if she is his friend or enemy. He just sat down on the chair opposite to her while she was just staring him which was making it awkward for him.
The clients came inside the meeting room and Avneet stood up to greet them. One of them was a girl while others were men. They all settled down when Avneet spoke.

Avu: welcome to Nandra Group of companies. We are very lucky to deal this project with the Malhotra group association.

Mr. Aaron: Thank you Ms. Avneet. Can we start the presentation of project for which we are here.

Avu nodded her head and looked at Siddharth. He stood up nervously and handed over the file to the manager of Malhotra's company. He stood infront of projector and started his presentation. He was nervous as first but then became confident enough. Avneet was admiring him dreamily.

Avu's pov.

There is definitely something in this boy that makes me attractive towards him. No matter how hard I act infront of him but his ethics always melts my heart. Is it love? No,... no it can't be love. He is just my P.A. Love doesn't happen in just 1 month. No, it's nothing like this. Have control on yourself Avneet.

She looked at him as he finished presenting his model and presentation. Everyone clapped while Malhotra's got impressed by him. The manager whispered something in the C.E.O's ear which made him attentive. The manager passed the file indicating something and C.E.O observed it keenly.

Avu (proudly): very well done Siddharth, you are upto my expectations. (turning to C.E.O of Malhotra company) so, I think the deal is confirmed and all credit goes to Siddharth and....

The C.E.O's name was Akshay Malhotra.

Akshay (dangerous voice, raising his eyebrows): which credit Ms.Avneet? And which deal?

Avu looked at him confusingly which made Sidd upset. Mr. Akshay threw the file on the table infront of her which made her furious.

Avu (banging on the table): What is this behavior Mr.Akshay?

Akshay: the same which your P.A did.

Avu looked at him with dangerous eyes.

Avu: what do you mean?

Akshay pointed toward file. Sidd was already sweating not knowing anything that is happening. Avu flipped the pages of the file and was shocked to read it.

Akshay: you have to have a deal while your P.A doesn't. Look, he has planned everything which could give us a big loss.

Avu (shocked): th-this is not true. I myself have checked and signed it.

Akshay looked at Sidd and stood up throwing the file towards him which he caught and opened to read it. He was also shocked to read it. It wasn't the file made by him.

Sidd (out of words, astonished): I-I haven't made this.

Akshay didn't wasted a second and slapped him hard infront of everyone. Avneet stood up yelling at Akshay. He again raised his hand but in result Avneet pushed him hard coming infront of Sidd.

Avu (furious, yelling): IS THIS THE WAY YOU TALK TO THE PEOPLE WHO WORK UNDER YOU?

Akshay: he is not your P.A but a snake. If my manager wouldn't have seen it, he would have robbed our money.

Avu close her eyes calming herself. A man who was in the meeting room only was smirking looking at the mess created by him.

Avu: look, there is a misunderstanding. It isn't as you are thinking. We had completed everything before your arrival. This maybe is a misunderstanding. We can talk about it.

Akshay (stern voice): There is nothing left to talk about. We are cancelling this deal.

Avu (dangerous voice, expressions): if you aren't ready to talk then there is the door. You can leave. You made me think about my decision again and thank you so much for that.

Akshay stared Sidd who was holding his cheek still in shock. He shook his head exiting the room with his staff while Avu watched him angrily as he left. All people present in the room started gossiping. As soon as she saw him disappearing she ordered.

Avu (turning towards her staff): I'm so sorry for whatever happened. It would be better if you all forget it. It was a misunderstanding. You all can leave and continue your other assignments.

Everyone nodded leaving the room but not without glaring Sidd. One man smirked looking at Sidd. As everyone left, Avu closed the glass door and paced close to Sidd who was standing like a statue processing what just happened. Avu held his arm.

Avu: Siddharth, I know it is a misunderstanding. I believe you and you don't need to be worried. (Angrily) he will pay for what he did.

Sidd (tears in eyes, whispering): he-he just slapped me t-that too infront of everyone.

Avu looked down not knowing how to control the situation now.

Sidd (tears in his eyes): W-What might everyone be thinking about me? W-W....

Avu (holding his arms): Siddharth relax. No one will think nothing about you...

Sidd didn't let Avu complete her statement and left the meeting room in a rush. Avneet threw the glass which was on the table in anger exhaling sharply. Never in her professional life, she went through such a situation. She dragged her hair not understanding what to do now. Is she worried about the deal or Sidd? No, you all are wrong she is not worried about deal but Sidd not even realizing it that she is at the first stage of love. Love asks for sacrifices.
