Chapter 26
Percy ended up spending more time with Chaos than he thought he would've, and while he enjoyed it he wanted to get back as soon as possible to check on how Annabeth was doing. So after a quick goodbye he opened a portal to the library he could now feel thanks to Annabeth walking through it, and stepped through into the room. However he didn't see her anywhere.
"Annabeth?" Percy said looking around only seeing the books she'd grabbed and not the immortal herself, "Annabeth where are you?" Percy was starting to get worried now, sure she was someone that got very sucked into her books but yelling her name was usually enough to get her to snap out of her reading trance to answer a call. The stranger thing was that there seemed to be nothing wrong either, sure there was a hint of her magic from Hestia's gift of flames that hung around the areas he guessed she'd walked through there wasn't really any other damage in the general area that she'd been reading at.
The middle area didn't count as Percy knew that that was already like that even before him having gotten there, but where was Destruction, or even her dagger. Surely one of those would be around if she'd been in a fight and gotten in trouble with something. Percy decided to look deeper to see if there was something that he'd missed and then he noticed a trail of what looked like darkness that had seeped through into his domain without him noticing, and without permission to have been manipulated as it seemed.
"ANNABETH!" Percy roared tracing the trail of darkness to its source. It seemed familiar and ancient, something that he felt like he should've known about, and yet hadn't payed much attention to for some reason. Then he got to the place it lead and everything came back at once. This was the House of Night, the place him and Annabeth had seen Nyx and humiliated her in front of her legions of monsters among kin. He teleported just outside of her temple as he couldn't go directly inside without letting Nyx know he had caught on.
If he'd waited even a minute or two to come back there might not have been a trail to follow back here, and he didn't want to imagine what could've happened to Annabeth had he not. He didn't want to imagine what was happening to her now either, but he could feel that she was here as well as Destruction. It felt like Destruction was tied down by something, and whatever that was was preventing it from teleporting to Annabeth's side.
"Ah you've finally arrived!" A raspy female voice like that of a witch howled out among the shadows clinging to the temple, "I was starting to think I needed to leave a clue as to where your precious Annie-girl was." Percy's power flared at it's full strength and all of the shadows closing in on him were washed away with light.
"I swear if you've hurt her--" Percy growled and the demon herself came forwards with a large grin.
"Sadly I haven't gotten the chance to take anything but a bite, but she tastes good enough with the amount of pain and fear I've harvested" Nyx cackled but she'd underestimated him, and within the blink of her eyes she had been captured by the throat and shoved into the very stone that made up her shadowy walls.
"I'm going to tear you --"
"Oh please," Nyx rasped giving him a wry smile, "You know that I must be alive if you want to find her again, and we both know that you wouldn't kill your one lead to your newly announced mate. Did you know that she tastes like fresh rasberries? Oh how sweet her fear was, I can't wait to taste her --" Nyx lost the ability to breathe as a sharp pain punctured her chest. Her beating heart was now being held by the very claws of the man she'd wanted to beg and plea for her prisoner's life.
"I already know that you don't have her," Percy growled, "Why else would you meet me here other than to stall and make me waste time while your goons bring her to your master, Order."
Nyx was shocked, even if she literally couldn't breath this would've shocked her speechless. This wasn't the same man she'd seen the last time they'd been here. This was a ruthless killer that had faced death many times over centuries, a killer that had no remorse for those that wronged him, a king. Oh how she should've listened to her Grandfather, she should've waited, bided her time and savored the girl while she had the chance.
Now Thanatos was waiting just on the edge of the realm waiting to capture her soul, but there would be no point as Percy was the lord of this realm, and he could do whatever he wanted to her while she was at his mercy.
"I am not going to play your games." Percy growled softly in her ear, "If Order wants a war I'll gladly come to him. However you won't be there to see it, and after I'm done with him. I'm dealing with you." Then he crushed her heart. Her ethereal body was then ripped from it's physical form and dragged along as Percy opened a portal.
"Since I rule over this realm I can make sure you stay dead, and not just that but thanks to my increased powers I am not only able to kill anything without the need of another deity, but I can also entrap a soul and imprison them for as long as I wish. Its a skill that father, Tartarus, found out about the night I brought his children's torturer to their knees." Percy lifted the ghost of Nyx and held her at the portal's edge, "You're a child of Chaos herself, you should've known that I wouldn't fall for your dirty tricks, Gaea did it to me once already, and it will never work again. Enjoy your stay and say hi to father for me, you will be in his care for the next few millennia after all."
With that he threw her in through the portal despite her silent cries and pleas for mercy and turned away from the closed portal. Order had crossed a line now. It was one thing to try and take over Earth, but he took Annabeth and thought he could get away with it without being discovered?! Percy growled looking up at the dark red pulsing magma colored ceiling poking through clouds like that of vaporized blood. If Order wanted a war then a war he would get, and not the Olympians nor the warriors of Chaos were going to get in his way this time.
After retrieving Destruction, and seeing it was unable to reconnect with Annabeth and tell him where she was, Percy opened a portal home. There was a lot to prepare for now and not very much time to do so.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Nick Fury walked through the halls of a secret black site base, and he was not happy. The Avengers had this new threat in their grasp twice now and twice that threat had escaped and nearly killed two of it's members. Sure Wanda wasn't exactly injured but she had said that the blades had been thrown at her vital points, but Tony Stark had recently developed an undiagnosed condition that caused him to freeze up whenever Percy Jackson was mentioned, and it was worse when Tony saw a picture of the guy.
Whether it had been an accident or not the man with a metal suit and another made of gold had fainted at the sight of even the eyes of Percy Jackson. It didn't help that when he fell he hit the concrete wall and was now comatose. Not to mention the guy didn't like the sight of anything predatory for some reason, and if it was brought up he'd just shut down and pretend like nothing was wrong.
'Why does everything bad happening in this city revolve around the Avengers or the Supernatural?' Fury thought to himself grimly before walking through a set of steel doors and into an obnoxious room full of obnoxious suits yelling at each other across a long round table. He sighed again and stood at the top of a platform, a black railing being the only thing from taking out his gun and shooting the object of mention.
"Will all the ladies of the room grab your purses and sit the fuck down!" He yelled causing everyone to stop yelling at each other and look at him in shock, "The bickering I see in this room is like watching that of an old lady's bingo club, so grab your tits, shut up, and sit down."
"Who the fuck are you?" One particularly dark-toned man in a white suit said.
"I'm the guy that makes sure something like that," He points to the monitor displaying a tank sized red wolf, "Doesn't destroy the world and cause the idiots like you to go around crying wolf with guns and toilet paper."
"Excuse--"
"You are excused?" Nick said, "Now sit down and shut up. Everything will be explained in a moment." As he turned and grabbed a strange metal stick with a pulsing purple cap on the top. He clicked the cap and pointed the purple beam of light at the front of the room where a portal opened up of the same color.
"I don't trust these people nearly as much as you'll want to shoot them, but they are our best shot at stopping whatever it is that is trying to destroy our universe, so it's in your best interest to stay in your seats and listen."
At this very moment six people in dark cloaks with what looked like stars moving over the fabric's surface walked through to stand in front of a large room of now standing mortals with their guns drawn and hackles raised. Fury just rolled his eye and walked off to the side while the chaos ensued.
"If you would please lower your weapons that would be greatly appreciated." The one in the front said, none of them had even twitched and given the amount of firearms and trained personal in front of them most would think they were crazy. "We are not here to fight you, we're here to help actually."
"As if we would believe a bunch of mysteriously cloaked figures without so much a hint of a weapon!" A voice sounded from the back of the room, but the cloaked figures didn't give any recognition of having heard.
"Don't move or we will use force to take you out." Another voice followed and the one at the front looked behind his left and nodded.
"Hey! What the fuc--"
"Everyone will lower their weapons and settle down, we are not the threat you'll need to face." A charming female voice resounded through-out the room and all soldiers and personal lowered their arms and settled down, "Good. Now sit down and we'll explain everything in a moment." Even Fury found it hard to resist that powerful voice as the others around the room settled back into their chairs and looked at the six powerful beings as if expecting orders. A few moments later they all shook their heads or put a hand to their head as if they'd had a headache just moments ago.
"Good thank you Glamour." The leader said before throwing an object onto the table and a projection of the known galaxy was displayed in 3D at the center of the room. Except two thirds of the galaxy had been shaded in red and that red seemed to be vibrating and occasionally pulsing on each end as if it was a living being. "Now what you are looking at it the Galaxy that we live in and what we know about everything happening so far."
Another cloaked person stepped up and motioned to the clear part by outlining it clearly, "This is, so far, what hasn't been captured by the enemy, and this red part is what the enemy is now in control of. Now as you can see it hasn't been moving very steadily thanks to the other solar systems defense systems and the many civilizations that are resisting, but it's a losing battle and soon that red will cover the entire galaxy and surround our planet."
"Now I know you have questions, but please wait till I am done with the presentation. See this is all important because the gods of folk and myth are real, and the one that is trying to take over our galaxy and destroy this universe is among the gods of myth. Specifically the Primordial Order, one of the first beings of this known universe, and the husband and enemy of our group and the wife that brought the six of us into said group."
"How is that possible?" A random person of the room commented despite the warning and the shadows of his chair wrapped around his mouth.
"I did say to wait till the end for any questions didn't I?" The robed figure said kneeling in front of said commentator and tapping his forehead with a finger. This of course did nothing in actuality but it sure did scare the hell out of said person and those around him. She went back up to explain the rest of the situation.
"Now you think that the gods and creatures of myth don't exist because the gods have kept it that way through something called the Mist, the very power of a goddess devoted to keeping the mythological world apart from the mortal world, but sadly things do often tend to be seen through said mist, or something like this happens and causes it to stop working entirely. Which then brings other drastic measures, but thankfully we do not have to take down the Mist this often as things on this scale don't happen too often. Oh and don't worry as soon as this is all over we'll either all be dead, or you won't remember this happened because we want to keep it that way."
"On to the main reason for interrupting your 'important' meeting and crashing the party with this wonderfully brisk one eyed man you do not know of. We believe that while humanity itself can't actually do anything against this threat itself we wanted to let you know that all help is appreciated and accepted, especially seeing there'll be monsters flooding the streets of nearly every country and territory around the world. Sadly, as all bad things have seemed to be focused, the main army and it's leader if coming to New York so we wanted to advise you all to tell your citizens to evacuate the city for a few days while everything is worked out."
"I keep getting distracted by your lovely ignorant faces of irritation and rage, sorry about that. Hey Alpha would you mind telling them of the enemies we're going to be seeing, and potential allies." The cloaked girl turned to the leader of their group who shrugged and stepped up onto the table. The hologram in the center of the room changed to that of a monster.
"Okay first things first I'll talk about the enemies you will likely be seeing in New York if you decide to ignore our warnings, and then I'll show you the ones that will be showing up across the world. And so on..." He then went on to show dozens of different types of creatures that looked like they belonged in the deepest depth's of the Void, and said explicitly that "That's where they should have stayed." And then he showed the only way to kill them was with a metal no army had other than Wakanda and Atlantis, as well as that brute strength and internal trauma would work but a tank would only scratch the smallest of the creatures. Of which was the size of a van.
Alpha then mentioned himself and his team as allies, other allies, and some potential allies that may be seen. Then it was onto the neutral parties and those went by quickly, just a name and a picture until it got to the last one. A familiar face.
The wolf from earlier was shown overhead at full size, spinning and glowing with a stunning reality to it's appearance. Except for the fact that it as the size of an Abrams tank, possibly larger, with glowing eyes looking like that of a horror film, and fur imitating the illusion of being flowing lava and streaks of volcanic rock. It even changed to that of a sort of camo pattern of red, black, and grey before changing again to just black fur.
"Did you really have to make it so detailed Forge?" Alpha said and said person just shrugged.
"Silver, Glamour, and Shadow demanded I make him as realistically shown as possible so don't stick this on me." He said putting his hands up mock-innocently, "Though you have to admit it looks dope."
"Yeah it does" Alpha whispered staring for a moment longer before shaking his thoughts free and speaking once more, "You may not believe me but this was once a good friend of mine, he actually convinced me to give my life for the world once, even though I hurt and betrayed him and his friends. Now he's arguably the most powerful being in the universe and we have not heard from him since our fight in the throne room."
"Alpha--" One of the robed figured said and Alpha snapped out of his thoughts and moved on,
"Sorry I was reminiscing a little, but this is Percy. He's able to turn into the giant wolf you see now or a human-like being like most of your nowadays hero's with animal characteristics look like. Aside from his temper and ability to tear the Earth in two, I think that he's on our side, or at least he's on the side of not letting the world be destroyed...for now." Alpha said and an Asian man in a suit stood and pointed at the wolf.
"You think this creature is on your side?" He motioned, "If this thing is as powerful as you say shouldn't we just let it take care of who or whatever is trying to take over our galaxy, and then we come in at the last minute and take him out while he's exhausted from the fight?"
"NO--" A blast of energy went out from Alpha and through out the room making most grab their weapons reflexively, "Ahem. No you do not want to third party him. If he goes up against Order, the enemy, and wins you do not want to make him an enemy of the world and give him a reason to destroy it. He already has a very thin line between him and destroying this world as it is, and one wrong move will surely cut that thread."
"Then how are we supposed to contain such a threat if he decides to go rouge?" Fury interjected this time, "It's not like you six will be in any condition to keep him at bay, so do you have any ideas as to how we would stop him if he decides to go on a rampage?"
"There's really only one person capable of calming him down." A new projection was brought up. A woman with flowing blond hair and glowing grey eyes that pierced through the room like an Owl, "This is Annabeth Chase. She is his mate and so far the only person able to reign in the angry werewolf. While us six, and hopefully the gods and others hold off Percy from his destructive path should he go rouge, someone will be charged with finding her and bringing her to him to calm him down enough that he will hopefully stop destroying things."
"But you have no guarantee that he'll actually stop rampaging should something cause it, so give us a way of taking him down and that'll be considered the first act of good faith between us for any sort of deal to be considered." Fury said and for once the others in the room didn't speak out about it. Alpha narrowed his eyes at Fury, he could see that this man really just wanted a way to control such power, but they themselves didn't know how to stop him if things went south.
"We're still working on a temporary containment procedure for if things don't go as planned, but we can assure you that we'll find something able to take him down soon" Alpha said, 'Though the best it would do is just piss him off more.' He thought looking at the one-eyed chocolate demon in the eye. And Fury saw that there was no good end to this line, so he decided to come back to it later with them privately.
"Okay seeing that whether or not our world is seemingly doomed with or without your help hopefully we can work out some way to keep it---not doomed for now." Fury said turning and walking back out of the room, "Alpha I want to talk to you privately about this later, and as for the rest of you incompetent fools I suggest you listen to these six powerful individuals if you wish to keep living on a planet."
Finally I've got another chapter out for y'all. Sorry if that first part if pretty cringe, as well as Fury's character. I have no idea how to imitate most other beings and how they act apart from OC's and non-human characters.
Now as the great and all powerful green friend of the force says,

Or

Hopefully that is enough to satiate all you hungry wolves, and I'll see you in the next chapter.
