CJ's P.O.V

"How much trouble do you think we'll be in?" I ask worriedly.

"Well, we skipped school, so, lot's." Amethyst mutters. We are currently in the office waiting for Mr. Cains, our principal, to call us in.

"CJ, Amethyst, and Max, please come into my office." Mr. Cains orders as he pokes his head into the room. The 3 of us sit down in his office.

"Ms. Leigha told Ms. Smith that you guys skipped school. Care to explain?" Mr. Cains asks us sternly. Amethyst and I both glare at Max.

"I-I Thought it would be a good idea to just explore the area a bit. Th-that's all." Max explains nervously. Mr. Cains sighs.

"I'll let it slide, just this once, since it's only the first day, but it better not happen again, understand?" He asks. The 3 of us nod.

"We have half an hour left of school, and it's recess time, so go do whatever. Just be sure you're inside once you hear the whistle." He says sternly.

"You're free to go now." He sighs.
