Top 5 Underrated Animated Movies

When we grow up we remember animated movies that are timeless classics.

Or in A Goofy Movie's case a weird Blob of 90's Nostalgia......that was recently given a shout out on American Idol?

I'm less focused on the song and more focused on the fact Katy Perry is dressed like Ursula from the Little Mermaid.

But I'm not talking the classic everyone knows about. We are talking about the Underdogs.

The classics that barely anyone knows about.

Or they know but it doesn't get talked about enough.

These are my picks for the Top 5 Underrated Animated Movies.

Note: I'm doing a mix of Disney, Pixar, DreamWorks, and more.

Also this is a mix of good and bad movies.

5) Meet The Robbinsons:

This is Disney Animation's Second Attempt at a CGI animated movie, after 2005's Chicken Little, aka not one of Disney's Best movies....I hate that one BTW.

Meet The Robbinsons is based off the William Joyce book, "A Day With Wilbur Robinson."

Oh and if your a child of the early 2000's like me William Joyce also Created Rolie Polie Olie, not making that up.

Anyway, the reason why the movie is underrated, well unfortunately it wasn't a Big Box Office Success.

It almost spawned a Straight To DVD sequel but that got cancelled.

People claim the Disney Revival started with Bolt, I say it started with Meet The Robinsons.

Too bad when it comes to Disney Feature Animation nowadays its mainly Frozen Mania.

Calm down Cutie!

AnxiousPirate: It's no longer fnafcutie616 its now AnxiousPirate!

Whatever, I'm still calling you Cutie no matter what.

4) A Bugs Life:

This would be Pixar's only Underrated Movie Surprisingly.

Sure it managed to get a Themed Land in at the Disney California Adventure Park.....until last year when it closed to make way for Marvel Attractions, but they were just bland Generic Rides so who cares, but oddly enough, no one talks about a bugs life anymore.

When it comes to Early Pixar, the only movies that come to mind are Toy Story, Monsters Inc, Finding Nemo, and The Incredibles. But that's because all those movies got Sequels.

A Bugs Life came out in 1998 and as of 2017 there is no Sequel announced.....must be because the film also had a DreamWorks ripoff that came out around the same time even though that one SUCKS!

Speaking of DreamWorks!

3) Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie!:

How the hell did this get over shadowed by the freaking Boss Baby?

Ever since I was a kid I've wanted to see a Captain Underpants Movie, in 2017 we got it......AND NO ONE SAW IT!

Ugh! To me this was 10 Times better than Boss Baby.

But, because DreamWorks Has a thing to make a Netflix Series for everything, there is a TV Show based off the books, which to me is better than the movie for a few reasons.

The more important one being that George and Harold aren't played by Adults.....more specifically Kevin Hart and Thomas Middleditch. They actually got Kids to play the Kids!

2) The Peanuts Movie:

Okay while I HATED the art style of this movie, I can't ignore how sweet the movie is.

I still wish it wasn't in CGI by BlueSky animation, aka the Studio responsible for Rio and Ice Age, which is a studio that makes Mediocre animated movies obviously.

Like Ice Age 5 Collision Course?

I said Mediocre not a Childhood Ruining Dumpster Fire!

Anyway, I still hope for another one of these movies, but because it didn't do well, it won't happen anytime......I'm guessing the CGI turned people away from this.....Ah Well, at least we still have OVER 50 YEARS OF ANIMATED TV SPECIALS TO KEEP US OCCUPIED!

Honorable Mention:

Smurfs The Lost Village:

Okay, alot of people thought this movie was bad. I disagree, I would rate it somewhere between Bad and Meh.

The Film has some story problems, and a soundtrack that was taken from a Middle Schooler's iPod Touch from 2015.

The Film didn't do well, but that's probably because those GOD AWFUL live action movies were still implanted into our skulls.

Sony has a thing of Rebooting things to quickly.

And Now....

BOOM BABY!

1) The Emporor's New Groove:

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!

Yeah that's about it.

Please say more! Woah I got a chill up my spine there.

That's because you said that to rewrite before she was eaten by the dragon.

By the way you're paying for her therapist for that, and I told her not to be cheap about it.

WHAT DID I DO TO DESERVE THIS?

Buying a Dragon Egg without knowing it like an idiot. Also stealing Top 5 from me on April Fools.

Oh right!

Anyway, this was one of those Point Disney Renaissance, but, before Disney Revival Era Movies. And with the fact that now Disney Feature Animation is making Sequels bow I would say the Disney Revival is over.

Wow, I went on a tangent there!

Anyway, the film actually was the first movie to, I kid you not, Create The Killmonger Trope.

That's right, when I watched this not that long ago all I saw was Yzma, the bad guy played by Eartha Kit, aka One of the Original actresses to play Cat Woman, was right, and frankly, she should have won in the end since Kuzco was a jerkwad.

Now sadly, with the exception of the 2005 Straight to DVD movie Kronks New Groove and the 2006 series The Emperors New School, their hasn't been much love, or even Disney Channel Reruns, of this movie.

But, thankfully, until its moves to Disney+, It is Currently Availible on Netflix! So if you got Netflix Watch it now before it leaves. Or better yet buy the DVD on Amazon.

Did I forget a movie? If so, leave it in the comments.

See you guys next time.

Meanwhile in space:

*A body is seen floating through the cold vacuum of space, drifting among the cosmos, suddenly the body's eyes open*

I don't die that easy Xander!
