Top 10 Most Anticipated Movies of 2019 (Updated 12/07/18)

Oh boy its that time of the year again!

Time to get ready to look at movie that will be out next year!

I was originally going to do this with one of my Recurring Guest Co-Host, jimbob16gros, but, somethings that I will not reveal on here came up so he had to opt out. So I'm going solo on this.

Good God help me!

These are my Picks for the Top 10 Most Anticipated Movies of 2019.

10) X-Men Dark Phoenix:

The reason why it's low on this list is because of all the Ups and Downs going behind the scenes, along with the whole Merger Between FOX and Disney, and the fact this maybe one of the last of the FOX made X-Men Movies before they FINALLY enter the MCU. And just by saying that, the Point of Deadpool 2 is now Useless.

Deadpool: Well at least I'm in the good Superhero Universe now! And they're keeping the True Deadpool!

True Deadpool?

Deadpool: Ryan Reynolds!

Oh yeah!

Yeah, this is one of the last Fox Made X-men Movies. Maybe that means we'll get a reboot or something in the future.

Start with Fantastic Four first please!

9) Rocketman:

Last year I talked about the Queen Biopic, Bohemian Rhapsody, now over a year later I'm talking about Sir Elton John's Biopic Rocketman, also why do we have all these Biopics Coming out that is about some of the Best Musicians of All Time being made all of a sudden? I'm not complaining I just find it weird.

Anyway, I do admit I'm a bit of a fan of Sir Elton John, yeah I admit most of my Favorite Musicians come from England, plus he and Tim Rice were responsible for the music in The Lion King, my all time favorite Disney Movie!

Regardless I do hope this movie does well, and Taron Egerton makes a great Sir Elton John, my only complaint is that his singing voice doesn't match up to Sir Elton's, honestly he would have been better off lip syncing in my opinion.

8) The Lego Movie 2 The Second Part:

Took us 5 years and 2 spin off films, but now we are finally close to the long awaited Sequel to THE LEGO MOVIE!

Everything is Awe-

*Wacks UWD with a Frying Pan Rapunzel Style*

Please don't!

Anyway, the cast from the original is set to return, and some newcomers, including Comedian Tiffany Haddish who starred in the movie Night School, are in this movie as well. And clearly it shows that when The dad from the First movie let the son's little sister down to play, Bricksburgh didn't survive those visters from Planet Duplo.

Also, really The Second Part? That's the Best Name you came up with, I get that this is all a kid's imagination but that kid is probably 12 now he would know a better title than that!

And now for the movies in REALLY looking forward to!

7) Spiderman: Far From Home:

OKay I know what youre going to say, "Xander, didn't he turned into dust in Infinity War?" Yeah, but, that doesn't mean a sequel isn't coming out, so we pretty much figured out part of Avengers 4 just by this!

Starting Phase 4 of the MCU, the sequel to 2017's Spiderman Homecoming, the story is that Peter and His Friends go to England for summer vacation. And as per usual in superhero movies, A Villain shows up.

Well at least we have Samuel L Jackson return as Nick Fury and not aged backwards.....more on that in a little bit.

6) How To Train Your Dragon The Hidden World:

I know I picked on DreamWorks in the past but that doesn't mean I don't love How to Train your Dragon. And this was no exception from my list since this is the big finale to the How to Train Your Dragon Trilogy.

The Boy we loved as kids, or in my case teenage years, is now all grown up and it ready for one last ride.

5) Frozen 2:

You know instead of talking about it, how about I through in that earworm that's been in your head since 2013?

Don't!

Fine......How About Olaf's Song?

I love Olaf so do it!

fnafcutie616: Why Not Throw in one of Anna's Songs? TEAM ANNA! ELSA'S OVERRATED!

Cutie, CALMED THE FLUFFERNUTTER DOWN!

4) Toy Story 4:

Forky........that is all.

Serriously, you're really not going to mention that this is basically your childhood? That Toy Story is your favorite Pixar Movie of all time? That when you were 3 your birthday wish was to have your Buzz Loghtyear toy Come to life for real?

I did that before Underline Word Dude.

3) Captain Marvel:

Ladies and Gentlemen, Marvel's First Female Solo Film!

Yeah I know DC beat them to the punch with Wonder Woman in 2017. But now the Winning Team had got they're own Female Lead Superhero Movie, and not come as like with Ant-man and the Wasp.

Carol Danvers is here to, apparently, bring the MCU back to the 90's. So much 90's that she Litterally crashes into a Blockbuster Video in the Trailer.

What's A Blockbuster?

You're a youngling so I'll let that slide.

2) Star Wars Episode IX:

Yeah I know The Last Jedi made the fans savage, yeah I know Solo flopped at the Box Office, but, that doesn't mean I am not excited for the last film in the Star Wars Sequel Triolgy.

Of course we don't know what will happen right now but then again, I like surprises.

And like last year, time for the Dishonorable and Honorable Mentions. Aka Films I expect to fail, and the films I would've put in but ran out of room........It's a top 10 I'm bound to forget a few, got a problem? Shut up!

Dishonorable Mention:

Dora the Explorer:

Okay that's not the actual trailer, its just a sketch from College Humor.

Anyway last year it was announced a Live Action Dora the Explorer was announced and apparently its being made by Michael Bay's Production Company.......WHY???????

Okay now for movies I forgot to add to the list.

Honorable Mentions:

Shazam:

Well, Took them Forever But DC Has Finally made a movie that actually has Charm and Carisma.

I talked about with jimbob16gros in his 2018 Comic-Con Review chapter back in the summer. But that doesnt mean I lost hope in this movie.

The Joker:

So we had to have the Joker we didn't want, Jared Leto in Suicide Squad, only for 3 years later to get the Joker we deserved........forgive my language but FUCKING FINALLY!

Detective Pikachu:

This is weirdly amazing!

Hey Kids You wanna hear Deadpool play a Pokemon?

Deadpool: Wait I did not signup for that! Unless I was drunk in that case-

It was a joke because Pikachu is played by Ryan Reynolds.

Deadpool: oh now I get it.

Yeah despite the fact none of the Pokemon look like the one we've been used to since childhood, this looks like it could be a weirdly awesome movie. Although out of all things Pokemon to turn into a movie they went with a spinoff game that is basically a parody of itself.

But I'm Pretty conflicted on this hense why its in the Honorable Mentions.

All 3 of Disney's Live Action Remakes:

Dumbo: Okay, not what I'm used to but okay.

Aladdin: Okay, but I'm just saying Will Smith has some BIG Shoes to fill since Robin Williams will always be the Best Genie.

The Lion King: PLEASE DON'T SUCK! PLEASE DON'T SUCK! PLEASE DON'T SUCK! I LITTERALLY HAVE TOO MUCH FAITH IN THIS BUT THAT IS BECAUSE THE LION KING IS MY FAVORITE MOVIE EVER AND IF THIS SUCKS I WILL CRY SO PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DON'T SUCK!!!!!!!

Woah, and I thought I had the problem!

You like Knock-offs more than the Real Films!

Stop reminding me! It's bad enough Sparky is still eating them.

......HOW MANY MOVIES DO YOU HAVE?

You know what I don't wanna know!

And now the number one most anticipated movie of 2019 is, Drumroll Please?

*Drum rolls across the room*

Real mature Deadpool!

1) Avengers End Game:

(Note: I'll Edit This once we get the full name and a trailer for the movie)

(Edit: December 7th 2018, WE FINALLY GOT IT)

Okay was this really gonna surprise anyone
After infinity war this year creating a whole mess of memes, and causing me to cry a little every time someone near me says, "I don't feel so good." Its time for the MCU to finish Phase 3 with a bang!

But sadly there will be a part in the film that will be very bittersweet.

Not because we know what happened. You know, Thor should've aimed for the head, or hand or whatever. And of course being the last films featuring a few heroes, hense the End Game title.....I thought Annihilation sounded better in my opinion.

But this is for a different reason.

As we all know Stan Lee, who is best known for not only co-creating many Marvel Characters, but also Cameoing in Marvel movies.

But sadly this may be his final cameo.

On November 12th, 2018, Stan Lee passed away at the age of 95.

It seems best fitting that his final film role be Avengers End Game.

Without Stan Lee, we wouldn't have the MCU, we wouldn't have the Avengers, or the X-men, or even Spiderman.

But, at least he is up in heaven with his buddies Steve Ditko and Jack Kirby now.

Thank you Stan Lee. Excelsior!
