Top 10 Best Things from 2017

2017 may have been a crappy year but was it really that bad?

Live Feed of Earth:

Oh, it was that bad, well now we have proof that The world is on fire!

Anyway, while the real world pretty much sucked, we can all assure that we at least have some good in this crapshoot of a Year, anyway, today I'm talking about the Top 10 best things from 2017.

Why 10, because I wanted to focus more on the good than bad.

Note: Today I will be Talking about TV, Music, Video Games, and Possibly Theme Parks. Movies won't be on this list, that will be coming in like 18 days or something......I don't know my own Scheduale okay!

10) "Walk On Water" Eminem feat. Beyonce:

I may have made LIGHTIFIC_05's day by mentioning his favorite artist.

I admit I like some Eminem, and as the first single off his new Album to be realeased soon, this song is great for any day you want to mellow down like on a rainy day. Plus Beyonce's vocals fit great with the song. Though now I add how did he get Beyonce to do this song? I mean, its Beyonce, then again if Disney can get her for The Lion King, anyone can get her.

9) Star vs the Forces of Evil Season 3:

To quote Lumpy Space Princess, "Oh My Glob Guys, DRAMA BOMB!" From a supposately Comedy based show like Star vs The Forces of Evil, I didn't expect so much Drama and Plot Progression, well looks like this show is going into Steven Universe Territory with it's Plot Progression. Watching the First half of this Season kinda brings me back to my Middle School Days watching Degrassi: The Next Generation..... Drake was on that show, that's why I watched it. Honestly for a show like this on a channel like Disney XD is unreal, I expect this from Freeform, a channel for the Teenage-Young Adult Audiences but not a channel aimed towards Middle Schoolers. Then again anyone can enjoy a cartoon. On the bright side Jarco died! So long garbage ship. The Bad news we got StarTom as this season's ship.....it won't last, mainly because they dated before and it won't work well again, dating your EX is a bad idea, from what I'm told, basically the CW show, "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend," isn't all fun and games.

8) "Havana," Camila Cabello ft. Young Thug:

Fresh off her time in the Girl Group Fifth Harmony, who should really change their name now because there's only 4 members, Camila Cabello kicks off her Solo career with her first hit off her upcoming first Album, named after the city she was born and particially raised in, Havana, Cuba. The song is really catchy, I do recommend you watch the music video provided for you guys/gals. And before you ask, yes that is Lele Pons.

7) Marshmello:

If you've been living under a rock this past year, you may not know about this DJ who you can tell why is called Marshmello. Well this was one of his Biggest years as he has multiple hits on the EDM charts and even was on stage with Selena Gomez at this Year's American Music Awards.

6) OK KO Lets Be Heroes:

Looks like Cartoon Network CAN make a good original cartoon wothout it being part of one big overall story arc. Well it may have some continuity but its still in season 1 so yeah, you got to introduce the show's characters. The show is a prime mix of Adventure Time, Street Fighter, and DragonBall. I already talked about this show in my journal so if you want my full on review go check that out. Also I found out that Studio Trigger, the same studio known for the anime Kill La Kill, actually made the intro, no wonder it looks so cool and Kawaii!

5) "Reputation," The Album by Taylor Swift:

I admit I have never been that big of a Taylor Swift Fan, I mean I may be in the minority but when Shake it Off got a Little Too Overplayed you have to Admit you almost smashed your head into a wall. But her new Album, I actually like, kind of, probably because it has a techno vibe and a spooky tone, like did Tim Burton touch the music before it was released? Anyway, I may not be a Taylor Swift Fan but this album may as well put me on the course to become one. Also no joke there is a song on the album called, "So it Goes...." And it is that hard to remember.....is Taylor Swift a wizard or something or did Selena wrote it? If you get what I just said you are officially awesome.

4) Nintendo Switch:

Nintendo is back, after the embarrassment that was the Wii U, no offence to anyone that actually owns one but when was the last time you played, and Be honest. Anyway Nintendo actually made a console that actually works not just as a Home Console but as a Portable. Honestly XBOX and PlayStation, step up your game man.

3) Hey Arnold: The Jungle Movie:

If you grew up in the late 90's/ early 2000's like I did then there may have been a 50/50 chance you watched a show called Hey Arnold on Nickelodeon, and you probably remember there was this one episode where they talked about Arnold's origins and that there was a cliffhanger, well that was in the last episode 15 years ago, now why did they wait this long to do a proper finale? Well there was some behind the scenes drama with the Creator and Nickelodeon but obviously now as we can see it's fixed up. Honestly I'm glad Hey Arnold and a lot of Classic Nickelodeon shows are getting the treatment they are getting, we got this, a Rocko's Modern Life Special airing next year, and Invader Zim finally coming back with a TV movie coming in the near future, I think this is Nickelodeon's way of saying, "Yeah, Sorry about the Spongebob Standard, and The Last Airbender Live-Action movie, and Michael Bay's 2 Ninja Turtles movies, and Breadwinners, and Sanjay and Craig.....Wow no wonder Disney Kicked our ass in recent years."

I also want to mention I actually like hey Arnold as a kid and now more as an adult as they went into some really deep stuff, I'm glad Nickelodeon is giving it the respect it deserves. And for those who are way younger than me don't know why I'm talking about this, you weren't there man, you had to be there. So yeah, this was the TV movie that made both 90's kids and early 2000's kids like me cry off 20 lbs.

2) "1-800-273-8255," Logic feat. Alessia Cara and Khalid:

Well you never expected to cry to a rap song huh? We really never heard a song with so much meaning behind it and no joke, mainly because who wants to make a suicide joke? After this song was released, thousands, literally thousands of people called the phone number the song was referencing, which is the US Suicide Prevention Hotline. We really don't have any songs meant for this and its about time someone made a song that takes on the topic serriously, until South Park made Cartman do a parody of it and made it about him..............well it is Cartman so he would do something like that.

Now since I know for a fact I didn't have room for this list I figure it would be easier to do some Honorable Mentions for this year.

Honorable Mentions:

Big Hero 6: The Series:

While the movie this was based on is considered to be one of my favorite films, I knew we weren't going to get a full sequel in the cinema due to the fact the film was over shadowed by the previous year's Disney Film Frozen, but a TV show is the next best thing. Especially since it has the right time working on it as the guys from Kim Possible is behind it. The show is really good, but it isnt on the list because the full series doenst air until 2018 and for most of my readers, since I'm international now, is from Europe and Southeast Asia, I'm looking at you The Philippines, won't air until next year anyway, unless you want to pirate it on KissCartoon but don't hold me responsible if you computer is fried like KFC.

Disney Park's Big Update Annnouncements:

I decided not to put this on the list because I know some of you guys may or may not have ever been to a Disney Park whether it is the one in Anahiem, Orlando, Tokyo, Paris, Hong Kong, or Shanghai, yes they have that many but it's Disney, and man did they announce a lot this past year, I was going to mention the new Pandora: The World of Avatar at Animal Kingdom and Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout at Disney California Adventure, but, in an effort to save time I decided to make a quick list with each new ride coming to each respected Disney Park.

Magic Kingdom in Florida: Tron Roller Coaster clone from Shanghai Disneyland and new theater being built on Main Street USA.

Epcot: Ratatouille ride clone from Disneyland Paris and new Guardians of the Galaxy Roller Coaster.

Disney's Hollywood Studios in Florida (Yeah I don't get why its called that either): Mickey and Minnie's Runnaway Railway and Toy Story Land will open next year.

Disney California Adventure: New Rides based on Spiderman and Captain America.

Disneyland Paris: New Marvel themed Hotel.

They didn't mention much about The Asian Parks because those already got planned updates coming already.

That is it for Disney Parks, now go beg your parents to go in the future.

Xander you forgot the removal of the Wench Auction in Pirates of the Carribean.

No I chose not to talk about it, not because it removes a big part of the ride, because to me that was a garnish like that piece of parsley on a steakhouse plate, but in my opinion, the ride was destroyed already when some DUMBASS decided to add Jack Sparrow into the ride 10 years ago.......I love the ride, I hate to see the scene go, but you know what, the ride was destroyed was they added Johnny Depp to the ride. Good thing I didn't have a Dishonorable mention last episode huh? Because I would have ranted on and on about one of my favorite Disney Rides.

BTS:

Sorry To any BTS fans reading this, but I had no room, I do top 5's and the occasional Top 10's never any Top 15's. Also we had a resurgence of BoyBands this year with these Guys, Why Don't We, and PRETTYMUCH! and honestly I thought BoyBands will finally die out after One Direction Split, man was I wrong.

And now for the Number one Best Thing from 2017, well....

Life is like a Hurricane, Here in Duckberg

Race Cars, Lasers, Aeroplanes, it's a Duckblur!

Might Solve a Mystery, Or rewrite history.

1) Ducktales, a Woo-oo:

Yes, I have to talk about the best new reboot this year! Ducktales 2017 is in my opinion, easily the best reboot we have gotten in like, well ever, believe me we have yet to see a good reboot that isn't on Netflix. This show actually got a 100% Fresh Rating on Rotten Tomatoes and had over 6 million viewers it's pilot episode, the highest in Disney XD's history, beating Gravity Falls' series finale last year. I actually have a book for reviews of this show so if your interested, go give it a read if your interested. Anyway, if you miss Gravity Falls, This show will fill the Dipper and Mabel sized hole in your heart, and also Webby is the Duck Mabel so yeah.

Anyway, Ducktales 2017, The Best Reboot, and the Number one Best Thing from 2017, A WOO-OO!

So what's your favorite thing from 2017? Tell me in the comments. See you guys next week!
